Jkris replied to Ellenier's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Nahm @Nahm Is ego death and physical death one and the same ? Is death and deep sleep or absence of conciousness same ? Why Non dual experience or God experience or what ever is not experienced during deep sleep ? But only in waking state with conciousness. -
Jkris replied to Ellenier's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Inliytened1 No non dual experience or no ego death experience. But my question is Ego death is not physical death.Ego death is just the absence of I feeling but not absence of conciousness in waking state. Death is absence of the physical body and hence absence of conciousness or equal to unconsciousness. Death is equal to deep sleep the complete absence of any experience. Enlightenment or Non dual realization or God experience is not possible with out conciousness. In other words God experience or sleep less sleep or bliss is possible only when conciousness is present. If else God experience must be available during deep sleep in the absence of conciousness.Which is not the case. @zeroISinfinity @Nahm Please clarify. -
Jkris replied to SQAAD's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@SQAAD Again it is very important to talk about purification of mind.Freedom from lust, anger, jealousy, hatred and what ever needs working.Meaning the mind has to become pure. The personality must become pure.Though the personality is realized as unreal. It is the mind or personality that acts in real life. Traditionally enlightenment meditation techniques were given to person by gurus only after seeing if the person deserves enlightenment. -

@SQAAD Thats your mind with sexual desires and hence you are projecting on others meaning you think it's impossible and I am saying it's possible. -

I am talking about true monks.Monks are not accepted as monks immediately.only after sufficient purification of mind, celebacy, desirelessness they are accepted monks. They don't have that desire for sex or attraction towards opposite gender. -

@Ellenier The question assumes as if the Absolute is confined to the body mind.or the absolute is owned by the body mind of the person. When the body mind dies life continues as it is. -
Jkris replied to Conrad's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Conrad I will share the contents of my conversation with a Master. Master :- The Absolute (Paramatma) is not aware of anything. The state of Awareness comes later, with the knowledge of the 'I Am' .. This very principle that does not know that 'It is', is my Self Nisargadatta Maharaj Me :- Do you agree with this ? Master :-What is there to disagree with? The Absolute need not be aware of It. It is What Is! Me:- I am confused.when Rupert spira and some others say awareness is aware of itself. N Maharaj says by knowing what you are not you know what you are. Absolute is beyond being, non being,no-thingness,conciousness,unconsciousness ? Master :- Yes. Consciousness is conscious of itself, but to be aware of itself, it needs awareness. Likewise, awareness is aware of itself, but to be conscious of itself, it needs consciousness. The Absolute is the state beyond consciousness and awareness. To know is to be. (I couldn't understand this). It is the mind or consciousness responsible to know something, but it can only know itself, that you are not in reality. By knowing what you are not, you come to know and be what you are. The 'Neti, Neti' in the Upanishads declares it. You are not what you know yourself to be.(This I can Understand) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I couldn't understand but I am sure you can. Thank you. -

@Truth Addict I just said what I heard. From Sadhguru.About the love part. Absolute is Nirguna Brahman. No qualities.Nothing can be said about it.Says scriptures. The Absolute is unaware. It is not aware of anything including itself. It is prior to the Awareness.Thats my self - Nisargadatta Maharaj. So just words from various sources. Not my direct experience.I am not self realized. -
Jkris replied to Conrad's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Shin You are the unmanifest it has nothing to do with love.Love is the projection of human values on the Absolute. Why not absolute hate or Infinite hate ??? @Robi Steele Dear God create something spontaneously and prove you are God ???? -
@Aakash Fighting against inequality and suffering ??? Leave the dirty politics. Take care of your education and find a job.Be a good son for your parents as you wished sometimes back. Conduct satsang in your free time like Nisargadatta Maharaj not getting a single penny from seekers.May be after some years. The divine will guide you what to do.

Jkris replied to EvilAngel's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@EvilAngel what if the prayers are not answered ? You pray and something happens according your wish you are satisfied that was due to result of your wishful thinking or prayer. And you assume it was due to prayer and keep holding that belief. If prayer alone could solve all the problems in the world every body would be just praying. Why not Pray that you want billion dollars.want to become US president ? Perhaps not because you know that will never happen. Ok pray for so called selfisless prayer world peace no murder no rape no terrorism no war no famine and well being of all life. That too will not happen.Because if that the case it never would have happened first. Prayer is just wishful thinking. -

@Dumb Enlightened The I feeling is always there in the waking state.Doesn't come and go like thoughts.Except momentary non experience of I feeling when deeply involved in thinking or activity. The attention immediately goes back to the I feeling. And not sure how to find the source of I feeling. -

Jkris replied to Preety_India's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Inliytened1 yes my question is the awareness is always aware of something else conciousness(waking state),unconsciousness(deep sleep). So how is it possible for awareness to become aware of itself ? -
Jkris replied to Preety_India's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The words Awareness, conciousness are used differently adding confusions to all ready confused mind.??? So for now I am using the word self or awareness to put my question. For me self or the awareness means the Knower or witness or the experiencer. Conciousness means the waking state.Deep sleep is unconsciousness. Self is beyond all the three states that is waking, dream and deep sleep. Yet we need to be conscious to realize what the SELF is. So in the absence of thoughts and ego sense the Conciousness should still remain. So the awareness will be experiencing or aware of the Conciousness but not itself so how can awareness be aware of itself or realize what it is in the waking state ? Please explain.Thank you. -
Jkris replied to Preety_India's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Preety_India Find it out for yourself.Find out the experiencer. -

Jkris replied to Shaun's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Shaun you are aware of nobody in deep sleep. -
Jkris replied to Shaun's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Shaun deep sleep is awareness of unconsciousness. Dreams are awareness of sense of me + thoughts and visions with out conciousness. -
Jkris replied to Manjushri's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Lister but to realize that the mind should be alert and only in the absence of all objects and in nothing Ness alone that can be realized is what my understanding so for.Is that correct ? -
Jkris replied to Swagala's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Swagala does it matter if you are trying to escape from life by spirituality or saints renouncing the world and living in solitude and peace. All are mind tricks keep pursuing. -
Jkris replied to Anirban657's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Anirban657 You know you are.How do you know you are ? What is the feeling that makes you think you exist ? That is the I feeling or me feeling or I am Ness or sense of seperate self or sense of seperatedness. It is always present in waking state and disappears momentarily when you get deeply involved in thinking or some activity. In sleep it is absent. Hold on to this I feeling continuously when ever you have free time.It is not just 30 minutes meditation. It has to be as long as possible. Hope it is clear.Feel free to ask any questions you have. -
Jkris replied to Anirban657's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Anirban657 @Anirban657 Preetom asked you very important questions. He is practicing self enquiry. Are you able to locate the I am Ness or I feeling ? Is it fixed or located in chest or head ? Or really can't grasp it ? Answer them. Robin steel is equating awareness to experience which is not the case. I asked winter knight about your question and my reply. He said it is inexpressible but the KNOWLEDGE self is aware of itself is realized. In other words awareness is continuously experiencing something other than itself Only in Nothingness the Truth will be realized. Regarding self enquiry Hold on to the I feeling or I ness continuously till it vanishes. It this I am Ness which is preventing us from realizing the truth. -
