That’s the year I had my skater phase. And I appreciated my PS2 more than life itself. I met my dad’s new girlfriend and her son, which was cool and I was happy for my dad. I had moved the previous year from his apartment to live with my mom, step-dad, and his daughter. I was most of the way through 8th grade when I turned 14, and it was the 8th different school I’d attended. I liked it better than either of the schools I attended while I lived with my dad. I made a few friends, mostly from band. It was the first year of my most stable period growing up. Not a bad year, aside from the massive flood. Our house was ok, but the surrounding area was hit hard. We got a massive rock that washed up from the nearby creek as a lawn decoration. I wasn’t much help.........never had much upper body strength.

How do judges come up with dollar amounts? How does one quantify the amount of suffering these families have been through? It’s simultaneously absurd and inadequate. -

The birth rate is falling in many developed countries, so I think that supports your claims. For developing countries, more people are concerned with survival rather than enjoying life. Children are a necessity for survival.

There is nothing inherently wrong with the death penalty. The people within judicial and prison systems who make these decisions can be corrupt and make mistakes, however. The mental health of everyone involved should be a priority, and every inmate should be given a chance at rehabilitation. If someone is clearly unwell and unable to reintegrate within society, why keep them?

You make it sound like a bribe.

If life is a dream, then death is a dream. If life is real, then death is real. I hope you transition smoothly, @Jake Chambers ! -
Nice!

@Leo Gura Is it really that great a leap from the quote to your post?

Depending on interpretation, one could say imagination invades reality constantly. -
Ownership is pretty dumb....but necessary to have a society.

There’s definitely a cult of personality around him, including many Christians. -
Ah, victim blaming. Nice.

Destiny is so chaotic neutral. He was definitely embracing the chaos with this one. He did show a slight bias to Mr. Girl, however.

This is a pet peeve of mine. The majority of people in the US couldn’t give less of a shit about geography.

So what would happen if you look through a kaleidoscope while on mushrooms? Is there a compounding effect?

It’s definitely anti-choice. But pro-life just sounds better. Also, Biden will need to fill a seat now that Justice Breyer is retiring. Not that it has any bearing on Roe v. Wade...
