Your limited perspective of reality stops at death. No limits and no you afterward. -
Yeah, it’s a learning process. When Bernie lost in 2016, I went straight to Jill Stein and was happy to avoid the “lesser of 2 evils” vote and stuck to my ideals. But this time around, I’m all in on Biden after Bernie lost the primary again. It’s the more realistic solution to make sure some semblance of progressiveness has a place in our capitol.

Trust me, there’s plenty of hate directed towards the Left. This is a big ego backlash from electing Obama twice. The growing pains of a nation. The “Make America Great Again” slogan really sums it all up. Many Americans are sick of progress and liked things just as they were.

I think it’s worth mentioning that empathy certainly helps, but it can only do so much. It’s just an approximation. Some things have to be learned the hard way.

It’s really unfortunate. We wouldn’t have this predicament if Bernie did better in the primaries this time than in 2020. He had the quick lead at first and oodles of donations to his campaign, but it just wasn’t meant to be. It’s not fair, but I’d be much more willing to concede a victory to Biden than to Trump.

Funny you should mention it, I caught up on the Beastars manga before getting ready for work today! -
Trump tweet: Chris Christie let the China virus dominate and scare him. Sad!

I remember watching the value of the British pound fall off a cliff when that decision was made. But the Euro remained stable. I think that’s a good measure of who is more dependent on whom.

It’s factually accurate and there’s nothing wrong with saying so if you ignore all the ideological, political, and moral baggage that the word eugenics brings with it. Truth is under no obligation to be palatable.

I’m certain I could be wrong on some things. I’ve seen it happen with my own eyes, it must be true! -
I agree with your point in general, but this is a very weak statement. A decade ago, neo-nazis and skinheads were on the fringe of society and nobody took fascism seriously. Circumstances have changed. They can, and will, change again.

It would be much easier to list the things he’s done well.

I thought casualties were the impetus for the BLM movement.

Says Dallas. Puts a picture of Austin skyline. edit: I’m metro Detroit, btw.

I’m not surprised. I’ve said before I hear a looooooooot of negativity towards the governor.

I’m wondering on what legal grounds their requests were denied.

Hillary Rodham Clinton The debates and election would’ve been easy if Bernie got the nomination, but the nomination was the big hurdle for him. Also, if Trump sold off all his assets and paid off all his debts, he might still have over a billion. But he’d have no leverage.

Makes sense. COVID took away the LGBT community’s Pride events. This is a good way for gay men to take that back.

1. Biden is less unlikeable than Hillary. 2. Hillary won the popular vote. Even after catching pneumonia and appearing feeble. Even after the email scandal. Even after a lot of Bernie supporters wanted nothing to do with her. Even after her own lackluster campaigning. 3. Trump isn’t the relatively unknown candidate this time. He has had 4 years to prove that he’s a good president. There are reasons why things are different this time around. Biden has a better chance than Hillary ever did.

Yeah, that’s why forums such as this are less popular. People don’t get likes, upvotes, and retweets and it takes more effort to have an honest discussion. So, forums are less profitable or not profitable at all, depending on how the website owner goes about it. It’s an unfortunate reality. -

Yeah, I learned that 2000 and 2016 were 2 out of 5 elections decided by electoral college votes rather than popular votes and that Republicans have benefitted from that discrepancy 4 out of 5 times. Neither party existed yet the first time. -

Interestingly, Sam Harris’s latest podcast episode attempts to label social media as a “cult factory” that is responsible for the polarization we see today. -
This sounds like a “nature vs. nurture” argument applied to an entire ethnicity rather than a person. That’s interesting, I never thought about it that way. If you go all in on the side of nature, you’d be saying they’re naturally inferior. If you go all in on nurture, white Americans don’t deserve any of the material wealth and status they have in society because they used slavery to get it. The reality is neither of those, of course.
