@Leo Gura Is this the reason why you don't go off and do a longer intensive retreat for say 1 year or more ? -

I have thought this also, isn't this possible once you reached the 3rd or 4th jhana, not sure thats as deep as 5meo. I've literally just ordered the book yesterday and will put everything you and the book recommended into practice. I'm thinking 2x 2 hour SDS a day should do the trick and spend a few years in an intensive retreat. I think after a certain point of development I will start using 5meo but very carefully. Will you also consider 5meo? and have you thought about doing a long retreat ? Also kyria yoga is amazing too, defo worth trying, every time I do it i leave my body. It gets so intense I have to just stick to meditation because I cannot function properly at work. -

Yes he really is an amazing man, he stands out as he is in the media spotlight atm which is a good thing. There are others just like him hidden away -
I have access to pretty much any psychedelic inc 5meo as my close friend is a Sharman but I haven't really delved into psychedelics for spiritual growth. Do you think they can help with finding your life's purpose ? I'm thinking of try changa, its like smokable aya. I thi k 5meo would be great for spiritual growth but to powerful for life's purpose I'm not sure. What would u recommend?

You have just contradicted yourself, everything I know exists inside my mind yet that cannot make me an all knowing all powerful being. That is exactly what it dose make you. I guess the mistake your making is your thinking its happening inside your 'mind' think more on the terms its all happening inside you. seeing happens inside you, objects have existence inside you, hearing, ideas, thoughts, everything that could every exists, exists inside you. Making you in your experience the source of all creation. The I is the source of everything to come into existence. Anyway the main point is to start using your experience as the measurement of truth not ideas inside your experience. ideas are things to be used to test inside our experience to be found out if they are true or not.

Your brain creates dreams, are you sure ? Is that your direct experience? That is an idea told to you by science. Your experience is, your awake, you fall asleep, you dream. You are the central point in all of these experiences.
-
firstly, explain how in your own experience you know an alternative? You don't. That is our experience, the only thing we have to our experience is the knowing of it. I was using the dream state as an analogy to help the OP to break out of relying on ideas and start relying on his direct experience. There is differences to the dream and the waking state, the waking state is more like a shared dream, the dream state may also be shared for all we know tbf. The more you deepen your practice you can reach a state in which you realise your own individual knowing is not limited to other individual knowing but your own awareness has limited itself off to only one experience. Also reaching the ability to see into other peoples experiences, there thoughts, directly experience infinity and how it splits of into different individual experiences, see your past lives ect thus debunking solipsism. The I is always the same with everyone, just the content is always different. I has no limits.

Thats the whole point of doing spiritual practices, so easy to get lost in the theory, just get stuck into the work and find out for yourself. Think of when you dream, what is the god of the dream? you would say your own mind. Why do you think its any different in the waking state? If you investigate your direct experience you will find there is no difference. Everything exists inside you. You could have a dream you are reading a bible, but the nature of the bible in the dream is your own mind. You have created a false story of the reality of your dream inside your own dream. Same thing is happening right now in the waking state. Believe your own experience, not the content of your experience.

Cool where abouts did you do this? -
ahahha 1 day of spiritual work if done correctly would be infinitely better than doing that. Ok you have sex great, then what you gunna do, keep having more sex until you get board. I fond that to big the big lie of the PUA community, getting laid all the time from hot girls actually really wasn't that great at all in fact its extremely empty and gets boring very quick. There are states you can access through spiritual practices like the jhanas that are so much better than sex it would be like walking over a million dollars to pick up a penny if you chose to sex instead.

Nice, thats motivating to hear, would you say you are you completely over the fear of death then? Also I remember Shizen Young saying a full enlightened master could endure 3 months of 24/7 torture at a tortuer camp without mentally suffering once. could u do that you reckon, quite a tall order I guess. -
hahaha I have always wondered this, would a conscious girl be able to see through a PUA's bullshit. They would have to be very conscious and most people never get to that point. Swan would love abit of blanc

hahahha, Sadguru probably would be good at pick up as he is quite charismatic. Tho becoming enlightened dose not mean you will automatically be good at pick up

What is it you are actually bypassing? give some examples. Also you could make a case that everyone tries to bypass having to do spiritual work, everyone has traumas , fears and existential truths they all try and distract themselves from by doing hobbies, work, tv, relationships ect. The ego is a bypassing machine. -

Interesting, what about if you were to meet someone who is like minded and is completely on the same path as you? You could gain a lot of growth from that? -

Recently I was getting a lot of tension in my neck leading to chronic daily headaches. I did a flotation tank also known as sensory deprivation tank and it went the next day. Must of been from stress. I find them really good for releasing tension from the body, also you can go quite deep meditating in one. Not everyone will get the same benefits but worth looking into as they helped me. Also have you tried yoga? -
How do you guys approach relationships and sex while on a spiritual path? Do you hold off until you meet someone who is also on a similar path to you? or do you just try and get in-tune with different peoples energy and when there's a match roll with it despite the fact they may no nothing about consciousness work ect. It seems you have to gain alot of control over your impulses to really make healthy decisions in this area. Sex is quite a controversial topic in spiritual cycles too with conflicting ideologies on who to approach it. Just wondering how you guys approach this?

I know what you are trying to get at. Its more to do with the fact that there are a lot of unconscious people out there so if you every share anything even remotely provocative, even if that is not your intention it can unlock the lower parts of there desires and make them suffer more because of it. Imagine a world with no porn, would be beautiful. In some ways hiding physical beauty like a monk would hide his attainment could be seen as the highest form of compassion to others. Its a tricky one cos also you should not supress it either. however the OP has shared this on a forum about conciseness and spiritual development, is on an amazing joruney and is really inspiring to see her art and going after it. Work it girl ! .... <)
