An imagination of you in the future experiencing something unpleasant or negative, maybe a feeling, maybe a situation, and being rejecting towards it. I would try to grasp the reason for you repeating the profound statements to yourself. What is it achieving? What are you trying to do? What is the outcome effected by this? Don't try to change it straight away, just try to understand it. This will only work if you're truly honest and don't automatically tag along with all your emotional distortion. If emotions are there then notice that, but don't let them warp what's true for you.

Don't think too complicated nor too simplistically. The two have no real existence anyway. ?

Do you know exactly how you delay your executions, and the personal reasons behind the excuses? For example: feeling tired, or deeper yet, avoidance, or even deeper, fear. Or more specific reasons relating to your specific self. Like not in imaginary terms, but in terms of what you are really doing.

Could be an ego defense mechanism as a reaction to self-Inquiry. Try to do first thing after you wake up. Then it should become easier to shift the times around once you get comfortable practicing self-Inquiry.

Only you can decide that! Sit down and contemplate! Why are you doing meditation? What if you were told meditation would never provoke any kind of results whatsoever to do with your self or self-image. Would you still pursue or engage in meditation?

What is your definition of a soul? I think you may be trying to force fit your distinction of what a soul is into your interpretation of what Leo was communicating.

You mean just like that perspective and / or interpretation? ? Got ya back! ? If everything is survival does that also include the self-referential aspect of pursuing and understanding in survival also being in my interests of survival. If I can understand what I am doing and why, I should be able to do it better. Would I be able to help doing it better? How is it possible to liberate myself from survival if each word formulated before you this very moment is orientated toward self survival?
