Hi everyone! I experienced this kind of visuals for the first time: By no means have I meditated diligently for a long time, also I haven't done any psychedelics, so it freaked me out a little that it was happening. I set a timer and it wasn't even 20 minutes in as far as I remember. What I ate before that (it may have some relevance, although I doubt it) were some algae (high in iodine, associated to the 3rd eye) and some chocolate (maybe 25 grams). Insights I had before seeing the visuals: - there is no distance/space between what I think of as me and the observed (and Leo's latest video on Authority was still processing in my mind) Why do you think those visuals appeared? Also I've been reading about empths and consider that that label may apply to me. Have a great day! EDIT: I forgot to mention I've listening to music (psychedelic rock, psydub, ....) before meditation, so I was "in the mood" before sitting down.

Even before you've taken any psychedelics ever? What I actually meant was that I've haven't taken any, ever. That's why it surprised me. I assumed you either have to have some experience with psychedelics or become really good at meditation. -

@seeking_brilliance I had eyes open while facing a wooden closet. -
What are the things we can do and become aware of on a individual level to minimize pollution? - Minimal consumption - buying food in glass jars (probably?) - ... What are backfiring mechanisms to doing so? Foods to avoid? I heard that growing avocados requires a lot of water.

Hey, let's make a thread about the environmental damage and pollution! I noticed how much I can go about my day and not spend time thinking about these things* - or only thinking about it in abstraction like "climate change", "extinction of species", "greenhouse effect". I find this especially true when living in a western developed country: that it's easier to keep environmental pollution and so off your mind (well, depends on where you live). That's my personal experience, correct me if I'm wrong. What I think is useful to share: Images Videos Documentaries ... the usual. Maybe think of it as an image gallery. It would be especially interesting and powerful to see images taken by forum members themselves from where they live. This thread could be a great resource for moving people into Stage Green. Topics: Environment Pollution ... Just make sure the images aren't photoshopped. This surfer in a trash wave for sure is: * Yeah, the solution is to take care of my education in this regard.

I saw on some other thread requests that we'd need more systems thinking in addition to spirituality. So, here's a really great informative (and funny) talk I found: (in total, with questions 80 minutes) http://longnow.org/seminars/02017/aug/07/seeing-whole-systems/ 5 minute teaser:

@RendHeaven I don't want to add more to your confusion, but I used to read https://blog.bulletproof.com/the-complete-bulletproof-guide-to-grains/ some time ago. I think one main concern for wheat (and corn) is that it has a high chance of being moldy ( 50%, if I recall, and that is bad for your health). Read the above article with citations on that part. Don't simply believe everything, though.

Found out here are more images to contemplate here: http://www.dailyoverview.com/ninetyfour

Agree: Used google: "have good time with a woman" "give women a genuinely good time" "good time with women" and most search results are 50% about sex, and 50% unrelated... wow, just wow. Totally missing. "how to have a great time with women" ---results: 100% sex and if you have a typo "hot to have a great time with women" --- then it's 99% porn

This is a podcast "Tangentially Speaking with Christopher Ryan" (author of Sex at Dawn) Ep 380 - Hunter Maats (Metacognitivist) https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/chris-ryan-phd/tangentially-speaking/e/61946666 It's over 2 hours long, put really interesting to hear them both talk ... for the whole 2 hours Where to tune in: around 1:30:00 and 1:58:00. (although the whole thing is a great listen imo)

Maybe some thoughtfood:

Trash mismanagement in China and Tibet. Water pollution in Germany. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Oh, I meant to say that.

When I look at anything, then I see something like a glimmer, or particles in front of it. Not the overlit parts like a window, but when there's some shadow like on a white wall, or on dark clothing. Do not know how to explain it, it looks something like static noise from a screen: Seems as though they're moving or changing. Is this normal?

Found this wiki on SD Yellow/Teal Organizations and management practices. Link: http://www.reinventingorganizationswiki.com/Main_Page Also describes paradigms of lower stages. Thought it was worth sharing, if it hasn't already.

Yes, fairly recent. Thanks for the reply.
-
Took a screenshot of your replies, like them. After I read up on more AQAL and MBTI, I'll see what connections can be made and if they hold.
-
As I looked through some of the Personality Types in MBTI, I began thinking about if you could put some of them of the Spiral. Like: - Campaigner (ENFP) in Green - INTJ, INTP in Yellow ... generally speaking, 'cause no one is just one color. So, hmm. Your thoughts?
-
Have been thinking about that too. Yes, although not to that degree.
-
Yes, that's probably it. Thank you very much for the replies @Michael569 @OctagonOctopus!

Recently read a blog post stating the above. (https://markmanson.net/sex-and-our-psychological-needs) The main argument is that sex is used for our "psychological" needs: security, self-esteem, autonomy and connection. Fulfilling these needs arguably leads to what Leo said: desire for God. Highest stage of Maslow's pyramid.
