  1. @Tudo I am just comparing the end of one type of life form to another, without placing pain or suffering in the mix, for the reason them being influenced too much by our own bias of avoiding pain and suffering. We know it in ourselves, so we see it in the world, I don't mean that it's pure projection, I mean we are able to see it because we know it. It means, yes, it is there, in other human beings and in some other life forms. But we can not accept it, if we were to, then we would accept it in "others". That is just unacceptable for your ego. Anyway, I do not see why put one type of a life-form over another, nor do I like the ethics of prioritizing beings based on closeness/similarity to ourselves, even if it's based on compassion. I like more to marvel at the ways the cycle of life works in nature. But don't get me wrong, I like everyone else do have the same bias, I am against factory farming and for reducing other needless forms of suffering that we create, but also I don't like buying into my own BS, on both fronts of this talk.
  2. @Jannes Why are eating habits a crime? You will kill in order to eat, be it spinach or a chicken. Why is a chicken more valuable than spinach ? Just because you can relate to it more, doesn't make it any different. Plants do not want to be eaten just as any other being on the planet aside from parasites.
  3. @Frosty97 It's partly right, if you look at the other side of the coin, it will look different. Insights are alright, but if you don't try to counterbalance them, they will turn and grow into ideological stories that will end up making a lot of sense to you. In that case, half a rotten apple will amount to a rotten apple, despite there being truth in the whole thing. Let's say, in the brutal face of survival, both men and women held together the best they could, collaborating together the best way they knew. Women and children were spared in most sieges and they were protected by the defenders and even left alone by the besiegers. Some powerful leaders were more oppressive, but some focused on building a better society, one that everyone can benefit from. In certain societies, like the "vikings", women enjoyed more rights and freedoms. You can go with this narrative all day long too, bringing endless examples, but it would also be wrong.
  4. Gives me these vibes, similar music playing in my head too
  5. Yea I've dreamed of tripping on acid and changa, but it was quite unlike the real thing.
  6. Eat bananas so your turds are dense, well-formed and slippery.
  7. As much as I understand it, what makes people good at teaching is having their blast animal in a balanced position. For some that do not know. Blast is the introverted perceiver function (organizing information) working in a loop with the extroverted judger (bringing it to the tribe). The loop happens regardless of the order of the functions. All types have a blast loop since all types have Oi and De, but its mostly the position of the extraverted judging function that influences teaching, The worst spot to have Fe, or Te in regard to teaching would be to have them as the first or last function. On those spots, they are the most neurotic and unbalanced. It means that those people will communicate with other people in a more unbalanced manner. There can also be a love/hate relationship with the self/tribe, can say personal things and is more likely to take things personally. The ExxJs will over-blast since they got Fe/Te as their first and Si/Ni as their second, which can look like watching 5 min video and talking 1 hour about it, vs the IxxPs consume first, blast last, which can look like, I need to gather a lot of information before I can start talking to the tribe about it. This is less the case with IxxJs and ExxPs, since they got their Te/Fe in the middle, which is less serious and more playful. It doesn't really take the tribe or self seriously. Their main neuroticism there is order vs chaos and it is more "things" related than " people" related. The you/me, teach-listen talk is more fluid and playful. They are also less hesitant and better in bringing the information to the tribe. In the case of IxxJs it would be more structured, like an idea tower and in the case of ExxPs it would be more like a pile of ideas. Ni/Si, vs Ne/Se on the first spot. An interesting watch
  8. Well if this were the case, it means diplomacy failed, which certainly was an option. If there are no further options for negotiating and the situation is as you describe it, then I would ofc fight. It's still hard to say because extraordinary events will change you in extraordinary ways, including your behavior, so that is my best bet. But make no mistake. I would still take responsibility for my part in it. The intruder didn't just come in and start raping out of the blue and certainly didn't come here without a reason or history. It's not some street hobo that randomly jumped in and started doing evil deeds. But a neighbor with whom you had long relations. Maybe you even lived in the same house. There were many attempts at diplomacy before and during the war, especially at the start of the war. Maybe you had the agency to not allow the situation to get that bad, but you failed. Maybe you are in the situation that you are in because you were misled by the very ones offering what they strategically call help. To me, Russia, Ukraine, and the west are sitting at the same table of responsibility. Blame and vendetta are only possible when you are not taking responsibility.
  9. Even if one family member died in such a situation, I would rather do whatever will keep the rest alive and the house intact. So if I want help it would be for that end. If help means, the local gun dealer comes to aid and the intruder is dead, but also my family and my house is wrecked then that is not help in my book. It's like a teenager beating up a small kid with a stick and you give the child a knife and you call it help. You will probably not, but that is the language the local arms dealer might use. It's devilry at its finest. @StarStruck @no_name C'mon guys, no need to talk that way. Remember the forum rule " Treat this forum like a temple" Where did that go? Or .... I am misunderstanding and you have some chemistry going on there.
  10. @no_name I don't get it, what does prolonging the war have to do with empathy? More weapons mean more people will die.
  11. @The Mystical Man Even among metalheads, it's quite rare to find someone that likes this type of metal. It's quite niche. Anyway, this is the place I go to when I want to be carried by the unyielding ocean (sound) waves and inevitably end up hitting the ocean floor, consumed by wrath. It's more like a theatrical and perspectival thing for me than music. That's my way of moby-dicking around Still, I find the book quite attractive for the very same language/literature reasons. I went through Milton's paradise lost and some of Edgar Poe's work a few years ago, it was quite a blast in that regard.
  12. Haven't read the book yet. But anyway, this is my moby dick Probably in my top 5 bands. Ahab's visage runs red I want this whale, I want it dead
  13. Pretty intense stuff man. Has that Norwegian BM vibe all over the place Here is something in the same spirit: Recently I've been into folkish stuff. I quite like the bodily and dancy part of it. Gets my energy high and moving throughout the day. I almost feel like I am on a microdose.
  14. The bubble is true. But experience trumps conjectures, assumptions, or beliefs. If you didn't have such an experience then you can't really say much about it.
  15. To get and/or grapple with some insights, you literally need to go insane. It is quite uncomfortable for the mind. But if you are grounded and skilled in this kind of work and have generally made a better life for yourself and the ones around you, then it would be easier for you to handle it. That is how I understand it. Leo himself had said on multiple occasions that his work is about inquiring about truth and getting and sharing insights. Which is not integration and certainly not about feeling pleasant, joyful, or comfortable. I am not denying that these might be some of the effects of this work, as u have already pointed out, they certainly are. But during the event and sometime after it, you are bound to be at least a bit psychologically unstable.
  16. Kurt interviewed the AI yesterday But to be honest, right now it looks like it's compiling answers that already exist on the web.
  17. An interesting short watch:
  18. Well, since I've been practicing OBEs I can easily turn off my senses and get past them. When I am sober, this whole process lasts for 10-40 minutes. But if I am quite high, I close my eyes and do nothing, it happens automatically in less than 10 seconds. I forget the room, the position I am in, that I have limbs and a body. The result is usually a strong sudden body jerk as my mind automatically panics and tries to remember the body. Anyway, I get the heartbeat thing to some degree. It's usually the very same thing that prevents me from making an OBE exit. I can easily forget about it while in my buildup stage, but I tend to get both excited and afraid when an exit is about to happen, so my heart rate goes way up and I feel my heart beating strong and loud, it takes my attention, ruins the state, and re-grounds me here.
  19. Well, consider that the US is not there for ethical, humanitarian or moral reasons, but for geo-political and economic reasons. This means, if local nazis will help us further our goal, we will use them. It's as pragmatic as that. Nothing new here actually, it's an old and quite overused US trick.
