How do you know these astral parasites aren't the ones convincing you to drink your own pee? -

Have you read Journey to Ixtlan? It's a classic enigmatic mysterious guru/shaman figure and student tale. It's actually supposed to be true and isn't written as fiction, but it's so wild that it basically reads like fiction and is just as fun. -

No, we are a community of like-minded people who will together thwart the evils of this world. Step by step we are lead, hand in hand to the Promiselands which our beloved venerable Leoji has guaranteed us in exchange for nothing less than complete adherence to his every word. Join us, brother. -

I mean it itches for a while, yeah. Not the most intense form of suffering. Is that worth ending an animals life? For the record I kill roaches when I find em in the kitchen. This topic reminds me of a chapter from Autobiography of a Yogi regarding mosquitos. I'll paste it below for anyone who may enjoy reading it. The bolded part is the most relevant. -

I think nonviolence is a cardinal tenant of buddhism. Don't think he would have killed the mosquito. Your profile says you're from Australia. If that's the case then your hypothetical isn't actually based on reason. A household dog is probably statistically far more of a threat to your family's life than mosquitos are. If ya lived in Africa it might be a different story. -

Consciously choosing to stop hanging out with people and people not wanting to hang out with you are two different things. Inability to connect with others is either a problem of low consciousness in certan areas, or of VERY VERY high consciousness. Rarely is it one in-between. And even then it's clear that sages and highly actualize beings cherish connection and friendship. It's common for people to feel alienated because of their inability to connect or understand social dynamics and then project it as them being above the curve. It's true that if you're really expanding at a quick rate (massive changes in personality, lifestyle, behavior), people around you will get uncomfortable and try to box you back into your old self... but they're not going to start dropping like flies. nope... sorry, don't buy it. Relationships are a very important part of becoming self actualized, and they will always reflect where you're at in life. Can you love and get along with all people? Can you be relaxed under social circumstances? Can you find the value in just laughing and talking random ridiculous shit with a friend? If yes, only then do you have the privilege of choosing to be above these things. If not, then you're not actually choosing. You're just reflexively running away from painful feelings inside yourself and telling yourself that you choose not to spend time with friends because it's a waste of time. Friends and friendship is one of my most beautiful and fulfilling parts about being human. -
In that case I'm pretty sure you you have nothing to worry about what kind of content do you want to make?

Growth isn't a given. People can even go backwards. Should it be a surprise that people develop very little when they simply don't know how? Most people don't even know they can grow at all. It's a vague idea on the periphery at best. Why should that concern you though? As long as you have placed your intention towards growth then you'll move towards it. If you're fat, then you need to exercise and eat healthy to shed the pounds. If you don't know that, you'll stay fat.

The audience you're creating content for is what is important, not the location it's uploaded from - although google/youtube has a lot of complicated and mysterious algorithms, so I wouldn't be surprised if where you uploaded it from initially has some effect on ranking, but it is not a factor of concern. Advertising costs vary depending on the demographic because of purchasing power and how often they buy. The CPC or cost per click of certain countries is going to be higher. Tier 1 countries would be America, Canada, Australia, UK and a handful of European countries. They typically have higher advertising payouts. https://propellerads.com/blog/what-is-a-tier-of-traffic-and-what-tier-should-you-choose/ So if you lived in India and were creating content for your own countries market then you might earn $15 for 100k views where as if it was viewed predominantly by the US or tier 1 you might get $60. Those figured aren't reflective of any actual current rates though and your payouts will vary based on many variables. Are you considering trying to create an income via youtube views? Because that's very rarely how it works. It will very likely be years of creating content before the payouts from youtube ads will start to supplement your income. And even then, that's only if your content is resonating with people, published consistently and you know how to market yourself. You'll need to learn how to monetize in other ways.

Yes, there are a myriad of ways! Don't be disheartened. If you want the very gentle but extraordinarily effective technique, try the book Letting Go by David R Hawkins.

That lady is displaying a remarkable level of equanimity for someone who was just part of a car crash. OP, why are you besmirching the good character of someone who is clearly a fellow seeker of enlightenment? -

Even if the risk of schizophrenia is low, it's still a BAD idea because of your age. The stats are clear that kids who use cannabis before the age of 18 are substantially (several times) more likely to develop schizophrenia. Anecdotally the kids I knew who started taking drugs when in their early to mid teens were generally mentally unstable. I know LSD and cannabis aren't the same thing but the point remains that you should at least allow your brain and your reality to properly form around you before you go and decide that you want to shatter it. -

Finding a guru in person who can give you what you want might be difficult. Maybe you could study some of the great yogi's and see what they have to say about life and living. Some of them poured their heart and souls into their works. -

It's an irrational fear. You had a few interesting experiences and now you're suddenly scared of ghouls that are going to gobble you up. It's the same kind of fear some religious people have of hell or judgement by god. The entities you're facing are within: namely fear. The ego projects all the suppressed stuff onto the world. You don't feel bad because of entities, you're just projecting entities because you feel bad. I don't think entities can just usurp your will. The only way something could really control you is by pushing your buttons and making you afraid. Face your fears, let go of them and then if someone tries to push the button, it won't do anything. What are you afraid to face? If you lose your mind, so what? welcome to spirituality

To say he did it in the name of Truth is ridiculous. Likely he did it because he was suffering mentally. It became obvious with later threads that he was seriously psychologically disturbed. His initial thread where he talked about fasting and jumping into the ice water was a little intense, but not worthy of intervention. Within the context of this forum, extended fasting isn't exactly an alarm. He said he did it for 25 days drinking water, yes, but there weren't other details and he seemed fairly lucid. People go on juice fasts for 1 month, and that could have been what he meant. It sounded like he was just a dude who was pushing some physical limits, as is one approach that has been taken by others in the past. Btw, some people, like athletes, do ice baths regularly. Weird? Yes. Extreme? Maybe, but within context it wasn't cause for any particular alarm. He came across like a hardcore seeker. Not everyone in life does things softly, and we can't always assume the worst. In this case, Leo probably assumed what I assumed: that he's a little foolhardy, but admirable. In the first thread where he mentioned killing himself he was being cryptic and making it seem like he was seeking ego death rather than physical death. I left a half joking comment saying he should consider the suicide hotline because something felt really off... if you look at the posts, it's clear that not everyone thought he going to literally kill himself. When he implied potential self harm, Leo's statement both times very clear: don't do anything to harm yourself. Distorting these teachings to make that stuff okay is only something that can be done out of a very low and distorted level of consciousness - at that point it doesn't matter what teaching or teacher you put in front of them... they are going to reap their own distortions.

I think it's a very real variable, but overall it's low risk if used very responsibly. The term energy in this context is kind of vague. Any substantial leap in consciousness is going to have a physiological counter-part that integrates at its own pace over time. Sometimes through brute forcing, bad karma or bad luck people can unleash a whole can of 'energy' which is going to result in anything from mild discomfort to full on psychosis. Of course these things also happen without drugs. No substance in and of itself is creating energy but it's temporarily reorganizing psychic function and often sedating certain aspects of experience which opens the flow of energy centers temporarily. That kind of 'energetic' stuff is usually well managed by your bodies latent intelligence and has an uplifting and purifying effect. That's kind of different to the overall logarithmic increase of energy within the nervous system as a whole as one raises in consciousness or accesses higher states temporarily. That's the kind of energy that makes you realize why it's not always wise to want to skip a grade in consciousness. In my personal experience and from observation of shared experiences and general reports, the usual suspects like LSD & Psilocybin do not create excess energy in the system at degrees worthy of concern. I can't speak for DMT or 5meo. -

I know how you feel. It's difficult, but it's not a bad thing. These things come up to be worked with and released. Stop searching for answers and more material. You know what needs to be done. Sit with it, work with it. It won't last forever. If you're waiting to be told that it's ok, you'll keep waiting forever. Your post is resistance manifest. Yes, things will improve. You're doing well. now keep going. -

1. Nutmeg 2. Like, a few tablespoons 3. I was like 16ish and exploring Erowid.org to see if I could get high on any household items because I couldn't afford real drugs. I read people were getting high on nutmeg so I borrowed a few bucks off mum and went down to the store to buy some nutmeg. Tasted like shit. I was very slightly high. Maybe. I got a bit of a headache and was mostly disappointed. I watched this video. 4. Do not recommend. I think it's also not too difficult to overdose and seriously fuck your liver. I didn't even get enlightened, and I didn't know what to do with the rest of the nutmegs. Whole nutmegs. Who's got time to grate those nutmeg? Not me. -
