Who knows, maybe they are being deluded by their minds, or maybe they actually experienced other realms? Various metaphysical ideologies have mapped out different sectors of consciousness from celestial heights to dense and hellish depths. Most religions seem to agree that ones behaviors and actions in this lifetime determine where ones consciousness goes afterwards. This seems to be an impersonal energy dynamic thing and not one of judgement or morality. Maybe the idea is not so nonsensical. You're right to reject the nonsense that you were indoctrinated with, but it's not necessary to throw the baby out with the bathwater. The problem here is that religious doctrines have perverted cosmological insights with projections of our own animal nature: in this case it's primarily that of our own fear and guilt.

because they're generally reflecting a very wide demographic of people the wider the demographic, the more of low consciousness energies of humanity are going to be reflected regardless of the groups overarching theme. you're describing the behaviors of most of humanity after all. Having an interest in spirituality isn't necessarily a particularly strong correlate to ones development. -

Man, pre-internet living was wild. All the spiritual information you had was from your church, the books stocked in the library and 42 minutes of what an alien told you. -
Meth is an insidious parasite. It breeds violence and despair. Unless he is going to make serious amends, change his lifestyle and not touch it again then I'm afraid the writing is on the wall. Things will not improve. He has already hit you once. Do you really believe in your heart that he will never do it again? Without a miracle of grace to shift his consciousness, he won't even have the ability to follow his own words.

Arman replied to John Iverson's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
On any given subject or point, there is an infinite spectrum of variations/perspectives. From our human standpoint some of these perspectives are more preferable to others. For example let's take a heated dispute between two people. There are a variety of ways to respond and each of them corresponds to a certain frequency or resonance. Depending on what levels of frequency you're vibrating at and what you wish to access and focus upon, you can behave and respond accordingly and reap the results of that energy field. So from a "lower" state of consciousness it may seem reasonable and rewarding to 'get even' and get revenge by being physically or emotionally violent. From a higher state than that, it may result in the silent treatment and gossiping. Higher than that, a person may leave it alone and not think about it. So far these are very common energy patterns on this kind of subject. As more of the spectrum is explored, the amount of people that access this part of the spectrum becomes less and less. So on this same subject if we vibrate even higher we may access compassionate understanding. Higher than that we may be forgiving and send love to the person. Higher still and there is no need to forgive because you know nobody can ever do wrong by you and you love unconditionally. On this given subject, the energy fields of forgiveness and love can be said to be 'genius' because they are less accessed states of profound effectiveness. The inability to access higher states of awareness simply comes down to fixation on lower states and unwillingness to let them go. Mundane consciousness or mundane levels of intelligence are the energy states that we are most exposed to and that most people operate through. This is the result of indoctrination, schooling, culture, imprinting, etc. In order to naturally access genius one must release fixation on the lower end of the spectrum so they can ascend up towards more preferable levels. Accessing genius on any given field, subject or just in general comes from the ability to surrender and release attachment to the patterns of consciousness (perspectives, ideas, thinking, behaviors, attachments) of given field. Each point on the infinite spectrum of consciousness is already whole and complete, therefore the answers to every 'problem' and the highest and most beautiful expressions already exist but in order to be actualized then you have to stop focusing on what is already on front of you. So genius is the ability to 'think outside of the box' (aka align with previously unactualized states of consciousness) -

All I know about Sweden is what I have heard filtered through the internet. My idea of the swedish is that they are socially shy and somewhat repressed. They're fair skinned and their women are beautiful. They talk funny because they're European. Pewdiepie is from Sweden and he's cool. Also I have heard rumours on the internet about the sexual preferences of Swedish men... I'm from Australia -

have you read Autobiography of a Yogi? Yogananda was like the 4th descendent of the Kriya Yoga lineage and the origins of the practice are described in there, as well as the significance of yoga. -

The power of performance ability and your on-stage presence is going to be a direct measure of how free you are from negative feelings and 'me-ness'. The major barriers are outcome dependence and focusing on yourself instead of on the audience or on service. Basically put, the more you care about 'me', the less effective you'll be. If you care how you look and what people will think of you then it will start to stifle you. You've likely recognized themes of 'neediness, cravingness, wanting to be seen, wanting to succeed' within the acting community. Examine these feelings and energies and their impact on the performers. Perfectionism is usually just based in fear. If you examine with honesty all your negative feelings, beliefs and thoughts about being on stage, that can be helpful. You can then dive into the negative feelings and start to dismantle and relinquish them. Then automatically will your stage presence improve dramatically. The audience sees and feels perfectly the degree of authenticity and freedom a performer is coming from and they respond accordingly. This is much easier to experience first hand when performing stand-up comedy because you're getting constant immediate feedback as opposed to a silent audience. If you get in your head and care too much about yourself, the audience will immediately feel that contraction and feel discomfort themselves and laugh less. If you are totally and completely at ease with yourself and have no expectations other than to serve the audience, then they are way more relaxed and laugh more. You can literally feel the dynamic shift from moment to moment and watch the audience mirror back the energy even when you aren't talking. I suggest open-mic stand up as a way to really penetrate all your bullshit. The shorthand to increasing stage presence: start to recognize the emotional and feeling patterns that emerge during the following stages: Anticipation of performance Rehearsal Before performing During performing After performing Feelings about yourself as a performer Feelings when thinking about the audience Feelings about how acting relates to your identity Great amounts of energy will start to emerge if you can surrender the small feelings, and you will start to experience joy, happiness and increased creativity on stage. Start by becoming mindful of the feelings and beliefs, and then start to relinquish them by choosing to penetrate and allow them to be when they come up. The great thing about this method is that your 'practice' and ability to improve isn't limited to rehearsal and being on stage as you will find that these feelings can and will come up all the time, and each time they do it is an opportunity to grow.

highly subjective and not the public consensus - dosage is the biggest factor here. Unless you're testing with proper kits, you don't. For the commonly used psychedelics, it's very rare for anything to be 'mixed' with other substances... at least I've never heard of anyone having problems like that. LSD is the most common to be mislabeled because there are a myriad of psychedelic research substances out there with similar effects, and some almost indistinguishable, and it is advantageous for drug dealers to label cheap substances as LSD. Main problem is that on a piece of blotter paper, they all look the same... Therefore familiarity with the source is the most practical way to know what you're getting is the real deal. With mushrooms it's much easier since they're natural. More specific advice would depend on what you're wanting. RUMOUR HAS IT that there are online markets that have a kind of ebay like peer review system and message boards where people test, review and discuss the various vendors that people can purchase substances from. That's a privilege that most people don't have when buying something locally. Depends on the substance. On the day you're taking them, it's best not to have anything important that you need to do for the rest of the afternoon or evening. I also highly suggest that you don't have to go to work or do anything important the day afterwards, either. On, for example mushrooms or LSD, once the peak of the experience is over and a few hours have passed then you're basically back in action and should be able to converse with people and do chores and stuff just fine.

no, you'll be okay dude. you've got a recipe for a good time there. ps. it's natural to feel a little anxious on the day and/or when you take them and wait for them to kick in - so you don't need to worry about being worried either. There's a tendency to become anxious about the fact that you're anxious... totally normal. -
These are fears based off reflexive dualistic thinking and lack-based-assumptions that have been programmed into you Once you really face your fears and start to move through them, these thoughts will automatically start to be replaced with more empowered ones. There is NO REAL REASON to assume that you will be broke, or that it is necessary to struggle to become a dancer, or that you won't make money. Who says you need to quit your 9-5 straight away and start grinding day in and day out to make it work? If that is a path that excites you and you think it makes sense, then do it, but is that what you want to do? If you really start busting your beliefs and inner barriers you will start to have realizations and epiphanies that will create empowerment and ease in place of apathy and fear. You may realize that you don't necessarily need to quit your job before you get the ball rolling and you don't have to put yourself in a vulnerable position. You don't have to live paycheque to paycheque trying to find work. If you want to buy into that reality, then you are free to reap those results, but you don't have to. If you can replace scarcity consciousness with abundance consciousness, you will realize there are an unlimited number of doors and there are intelligent and satisfying ways you can achieve your vocational goals. You don't have to be a beggar and dance every day until someone decides that you are worthy of money. If you are really good at what you do and are being your fullest authentic expression then things can start to align in very incredible ways. Don't pay attention to people who have struggled - your selective focus is tricking you because of your emotions. People with poverty-consciousness will struggle in everything they do. Keep your eyes peeled for people who do things that you would never typically imagine someone getting paid for, and notice people who are creating massive abundance and doing things on their own terms. Find just one person like that, and then you'll find another... and another... and it will start to blow your mind. Trust in your ability to make it happen. You don't have to be adverse to hard work, but you don't have to believe that it is necessary to struggle to have what you want either.
