@Himanshu There is no 'me'. You can be, have, experience whatever you want. Authenticity is to live as you truly want, do no resist, be in alignment with yourself, to follow intuition. Some time ago I was mind-blown how 1 hour of morning meditation practice every day and 5-MeO-DMT experience occasionally may help to rise authenticity.

The first scenario is to push sadness away, try to change it to something else, cling to the judgment of the feeling. So, she tries to run somewhere and find a way to boost the mood. I don't know, she starts to play video games, for example, to eat pizza with a hope that sadness will end. It does, it ends for a short period of time, then the person starts to blame yourself for eating too much pizza and cycle repeats... The second scenario is to let it go, allow sadness to express itself, release the judgment. It's hard to describe how to do it, perhaps because it's non-doing?!? She just feels the emotion, accept it as it is, so the distance between imaginary Sara and the feeling goes to zero. The judgment of the feeling disappears, as the feeling itself. Only one feeling remains, feeling of loving

@seriousman24 5-MeO is one of the strongest psychedelics in the world, be careful with that. If you want to play video games in different state the classical psychedelics are better since the duration of the trip way longer. Classical psychedelics are shrooms or acid. I am not sure different state will help you to achieve something. It helped me in the past to dance in public more freely, openly ?

@ElenaO I remember 3 years ago I really wanted to jump from one company to another to get higher salary, to get higher positions, like a team lead, typical orange guy. Nowadays, I understand I have enough money. Of course, I want more but it's not a priority anymore. The current priority is feeling loving, enjoying precious life. Once you see that death is illusion life priorities may change significantly. I am not saying you should tolerate unfair situations, no. Do what your heart tells you. I just stopped seeing unfair situations because I shifted focus from what I don't want to what I want. I understand I can lose you on these words, but hey, we're are on Non-Dual forum in a sense ? We are humans but not only. You and everyone else is God/Love. You create your own reality. That's why I suggest to put focus on what you want, on promotion, and not on people who got promoted. Live from the place of love (abundance), not from the place of fear (lack). Find things to be grateful for in your current position. Let go of the desire to be right, seek the ways to feel good and you will see how your dreams become true ? Since you meditate consistently starting a dream board may be a great step towards life your really want. You can write there why you want to be promoted, so you can feel it. Describe how much joy you're going to experience if employer values your work, etc. Good luck. I think I said everything I wanted in this thread.

Is there any Muay Thai section nearby to you? Muay Thai as a hobby would help significantly. It'd help to be present more often, less flying in the pessimistic thoughts.

It feels like every moment is welcomed with deep gratitude now. I don't need anything but I want everything. I am so grateful for every breath. This experience is literally a miracle. Life is simple and beautiful.

@ElenaO Sorry if it looked that way, genuinely tried to share what worked for me. I am just a guy who got the salary raise and other bonuses And I am not networking with management, what I did are – psychedelics, meditation. As a result, the desire for a promotion faded away completely. I just became more loving to everyone and at the same time, I became more confident. If some idea at work feels good to me, I just share it with the colleagues without any hesitation, since I always can trust the intuition. When the importance of work significantly decreased to me and the enjoyment of the current workplace significantly increased, paradoxically, I've got what I wanted. Anyway, I understand that we can have different situations. I hope you'll get the promotion

@ElenaO I wish you to get a promotion, Elena. If something pisses you off it's for sure an opportunity for growth. I asked regarding spiritual practices because when I focused on "inner" work every area of my life improved significantly including the work area. But I can understand that we can be on different stages, in different situations so to speak. General advice - be kind to everyone at work. Nothing wrong with improving marketing/etc skills to get what you want.

@ElenaO Why do you need a promotion? Are there things to appreciate at your current workplace? How are your spiritual practices going, like morning meditation?

@Someone here Yes, I think you've got the valuable answers and now it's a dead horse but it seems you don't think so and still enjoying it, fine with me. You have to let go at some point though and do the practices. No one can help you except you. You have to face yourself so to speak. Godspeed.
