Short answer NO! Now after that "re-recognition" (because you already are what you're looking for), MIND perceives that as an EXPERIENCE, something extra-ordinary (not a day to day event). Mind IMMEDIATELY takes over and tries to see this as an event, as something you need to "do", to "go back to", etc. In order to do that, mind points you in all the "wrong" directions: where you were, in what position, place, state of mind... on and on it goes with the offerings so that you get lost in it. It is mind's job. So...... Awakening happens. PERIOD! After that, mind "translates it" as it pleases...- 34 replies

Should you have the openness to carefully look at this thread, you might be able to see the micro-anatomy of a war - any war - being played out here at personal level. People wanting to be right at any cost, people hurting each other, people trying to impose their point of view, throwing words, incapable of seeing the other's value and insecurities, incapable the understand that at the other end, there is another being. This my friends, is WAR. Now @Mal & @MarkusR, do you think you could become friends? No? You cannot? Well... the wars and the hatred and the non-acceptance "out there".... look for it INside of you. If two people cannot make peace and show understanding and compassion, how can you hope that it will be achieved by entire nations? One by one, being by being, awakened beings will stop any war and suffering there is. Think about this for a moment. -
@IronFox , here is something that might help you: Also, understand that other people's problems aren't yours. Except getting entangled into the drama, there is nothing you can do for anyone. Mooji says it like this: even if you get married today and you have the most fantastic wedding night, when you fall asleep after that, you cannot dream your beloved's dream. What you CAN do with all this drama going on around you, is what Leo suggests here:

@Kath , there might be some tools here for you: You are not insane. You are always safe. Everything is going to be OK.

I think this one is the perfect example of wanting to kill the dragons in the dream instead of waking up from the dream.. -
Whenever something is happening - I hear or read and idea - that I perceive to be "wrong" or "bad" or "not true" etc, it is like a bell that announces a big opportunity for me to look into what is the opinion/belief I still hold, that separates that happening from the perfection of life. There are still happenings that do not feel like interacting with though, and I looked into that for a while. Best metaphor I can come up with is, if you step on a dog's tail, it will yell. If you step on it long enough, it will even instinctively bite...and in the end, whenever it will see or hear you, it will run away. Such it is here: life is spontaneously choosing how to interact in certain situations... The way it is happening here, is that there's no more appetite for drama. All is flowing towards acceptance of what is. Life playing itself under different masks, pretending it is this or that.. at times more convincing than other times. Also life, manifesting as acceptance of both "truth" and "non-truth" being valid at the same time, only because they are being manifested. Not striving is yet another aspect of this. Not trying, not willing, not desiring. Just embracing, receiving, opening.

@MarkusR , you are right, there are many people that had EXPERIENCED enlightenment. That seems to be a happening. Period. Now subsequently to that experience, there is what I call "a process of recovery" which can be/is life-long. Wounds, patterns, attachments, judgments, etc, don't magically disappear (even though, some of them seem to be instantly dropped). They need to be "seen" and "worked through". This process needs constant focus, dedication, permanent relying on what has been experienced (no-self)... etc. To "SEE" a pattern for example, requires constant awareness and vigilance. It requires a deep understanding that nothing is "out there", or maybe better said, whatever seems to be "out there", stems from "in here". This understanding MUST be followed by active "inner work"... or it will be lost, and those patterns will continue to be played out. Nobody is being mean. That pattern isn't yet SEEN. Neither in you nor in the "other people" you might be referring to. (this is the only reason it is still in manifestation). The ones that would work through it, turn it "INwards" will be the ones that will free themselves from it sooner than the others, (who might, at that point, be working through some other issue that has more "urgency" for them.) I'm trying to post some practical advice, from my own experience in my journals here on the forum if you feel inspired to take a look.. Hope this helps a bit.. -
This is called "codependency". It is most often the result of childhood trauma. Do a search on this forum for this term. there is plenty of advice. @Natasha is one of those who give great insight into this matter. Youtube chanel Spartanlifecoach and Teal Swan might also be useful. Meditation is always going to be good, no matter what you're going through or what you perceive as a problem in your life. My advice is: treat yourself gently, love yourself first. What you are looking for in the other person in fact, is someone that can show love where you cannot. What people like us (yes, I've been there also) attract, are Narcissists. Look into that also. Take things step by step. This might be a life-long process.

Life who is playing as unhappy persons, playing itself, mesmerized as a someone being in the body, imagining, dancing into deprivation or pain, imagining being more this and less that, as this and/or that, only because something perceives another as separate.. Hearing and seeing and feeling.... different parts of energy and particles seen as "another", as friends or competitors... Thought-forms playing with other thoughts, searching something...refusing to calm down into just realizing what it already is there, already seeing forever! Who am I to wish that life would see or play differently? Just wishing arising, contemplating another unfolding of what is.. smiling at it. Yes.... I do wish you all knew and understood how beautiful you are.... playing life wishing.

@Ivansmarks , what you are experiencing is a glimpse into truth. Still, it is yet another experience that came and it will go. Don't be upset when it does go. What you CAN use it for, is to remind yourself how it felt in your body.It will give you the measure of how a liberated human being feels. It will also be very beneficial to your understanding that it CAN be achieved. When you will truly see that this is a liberation from programming and beliefs and will not even think about naming it in any way, you just keep quiet and deeply enjoy its power. Keep relaxing into the truth. No action needs to be taken. As soon as constriction happens, you're heading in the wrong direction. Until then, enjoy ! ******************************** Enjoy feeling light and fearless. Enjoy being un-separated from everything and everyone. Enjoy the freedom to see the mind as a little cute monkey trying to get your attention. Enjoy seeing the beauty of everyone around you or far away from you. Enjoy the freedom to merge with your experience, knowing you are it and it is you <3 -

I do not want to see this post transformed into yet another personal vendetta. Thank you. -

@MarkusR yes, this here has become very bad at nitpicking words...as it already knows they're all dual anyway. Something still arises in a form of willingness to offer relief somehow... -

@MarkusR , this is one way to benefit from everything and anything: -
The feeling of "I" or "me" or "self" is a THOUGHT-stream that points to a center that experiences all of this, (an experiencer, a seer, a doer, a feeler). But if you really look carefully, You will see that there's no such thing. I will give an example. You think there is a YOU "in there" that decides that is wanting an orange. But let's look closely: is there any you? Isn't there just a thought popping out? If there would be a YOU pulling that thought from somewhere, you could also keep it from popping in your head. What about the cases when there's no orange at hand? Why would you think that thought ? Consider this: body is formed of a series of substances that have a certain homeostasis between them. At one point, body needs vitamin C, water, sugar and sends signal to brain - brain quickly "translates" that need into the closest IDEA that has been stored inside through repetition and emotional attachment. Now chose your pants Do you? Really? Mechanism is a bit more complex here. Lets take a man (to simplify things) - brain already knows that he needs pants to go out. Brain scans VERY rapidly through an enormous series of neuronal path's "database" - what is acceptable for the particular circumstance, what length and color, emotional components, memories, attachments to textures and colors, etc. Let's see if there really is a doer of stuff somewhere in there. When a thought pops up, if you are very aware of what begins to unfold, you will realize that action takes place automatically after the thought has taken place. Body and mind know exactly what to do, both within limits of their past conditioning. Same thing with feelings. Feelings arise from somewhere, triggering body and mind into patterns (usually repetitive), but look closely and see that in fact, nobody is there to feel those feelings. They simply are felt in body with mental translation. One last point I want to make: if you are looking for "I" with any kind of an agenda, or interest, of personal benefit, etc, you're headed in the opposite direction! Looking is a relaxation and not a constriction. It is a letting go, and not a thirst. If you're having trouble with "not seeing", look into the fear of "how am I going to function without an I"? - well... you have always done it. Nothing will change. There is nobody to function...

@Teags , you might find this useful:

Life provides you everyday with opportunities to bring those aspects to light. Awareness is the first step. This also might help:
-
@yanyan , take a look at these videos, they might help: Many more videos Leo made are giving valid solutions for that type of issue
-
@Christopher Ferguson , I would like to invite you to take your own advice!

I'm curious to what that is in your view? To discern, means already to separate one thing from another... Judgement is just one tiny step forward...yes to this hence no to that! To me, calling a clock a clock is judgement. Good or bad, that is where I'm at..
-
You are right, I already contacted Leo about my suitability to moderate (judge) anything any longer. Life here has become so open and so free of drama, that it feels impossible to be on one side without being on the other at the same time.. because I can clearly see that there are no sides, only THIS. There is still some warm indulgence into sharing things that might be helping people present here, and this is the reason I am still around. But it can be dropped at any moment. Anyway, life will soon decide I feel.

This is becoming quite boring actually, as each topic with some potential ends up in some kind of tail-biting...but then again, who am I to be bored by life playing itself as a litter of puppies biting each other's tail? There's absolutely nothing those puppies could ever do to convince me that they're anything less than perfect! Just maybe...look into forum's guidelines and understand that topics here really need to be about what is being asked/affirmed by initial post.

What is it that is happening so that you can switch from seeing one image to seeing another? Is that any different from seeing SELF to NO-SELF? How?
-
..today I have realized that I wasn't even seeing what was right in front of my eyes... LITERALLY I've been playing these last 2 days with vision and sounds. I won't get into the story here, but I will share some insights.. :) There is a lot of interpreting going on that goes quite un-noticed. Preferences and "programming" formed during time have constructed a "path-way" that contains what is "true" and "acceptable" and anything that strays from that, seems either unacceptable or unreal. It feels like everything becomes "fluid" when really questioned. By fluid, I mean it loses its categorical knowing, its "truth-ness". And once it becomes fluid, it somehow expands. so that it gives room for more questioning. Questioning feels freeing. like a dance, like an opening up of acceptance. Like a relaxation into a truth where "non-truth" is also true... (which frankly doesn't help with moderating a forum like this..aka deciding if there is any type of infringement of rules :D) What I wasn't (too) aware of, is that the SENSES have constructed prisons also. I worked with ideas and concepts and "mental programming" a lot, but haven't realized experientialy that what we seem to feel, see, hear, etc, is just another INTERPRETATION or translation of some (limited) organ's input by mind... and not the REALITY. This is yet another layer of "dropping it". What has just dropped today, enough for not being absolute truth anymore, is "depth", "further", "away", "right", "left", "up there", "down here", "back", "front"... The deep implication of this, is that what is really seen, is that there is no central unit that is positioned in time/space.... "What you're looking for is where you're looking from" ... seems to have an even deeper level of meaning now.
