  1. @Leo Gura Reasonable response : )
  2. You mean release a lot more energy in the body. That can cause overloads too though so maybe take it easy with the substance.
  3. What do you mean by vibratory?
  4. There is a yogic tradition of drinking your own urine. I forget the term but it’s similar ameliorating. Thought this thread would be about that. Thats a thing yogis did and do though. Only when your properly hydrated. First thing in the morning and the second half of the morning pee.
  5. In mathematics there are smaller and bigger infinities as well. Between the number 1 and 2 there are infinite possibilities. An “absolute infinity” exists there. There are also an infinite numbers between 1 and 3. All possibilities between the number 1 and 2 though start with 1. Eg 1.1, 1.5277272 and so on. So they follow some laws. You can’t have elephants as a possibility within that infinity for example. Same with our world. Our life and so on.
  6. Because conscious knowing doesn’t rid you of subconscious, and instinctual conditioning
  7. @TheWaterRuss why is it then?
  8. Delusions and psychosis go hand in hand with awakening and the path in general. Psychedelics can make both a lot stickier, and ones blind spots a lot less visible.
  9. Mastery as you call it is not not being triggered in a state of bliss. It’s about the eradication of even the capacity to fear and crave. This is described in detail in Buddhism. Upon awakening and sometimes for a good while after, months to years. You can be in a high state where nothing triggers you and your mind is “blank”. This is merely due to the high of awakening. I’ve had it, my teachers have had it. It most definitely doesn’t mean you have attained “mastery”. Adyashanti, Craig Holliday and some other teachers talk about dropping from the high of awakening as well. Be prepared for it. It will surely happen. One more thing “close to mastery” or “almost no issues” are self judgements that come from a limited perspective. I have thought that for years. Lacking a deeper reference point most on the path are clueless in regards to how deep it goes.
  10. @elsde Even if that’s true. A very unrewarding and nonsensical endeavour. The type of craving fuelled and distorted you need to chase after lucid dreams in this manner is not productive on the path. @GabeN Not the case for me. Most of my lucid dreams are not as “big” feel wise as reality. In the beginning they are kind of entertaining but quite quickly they became, just stupid.
  11. ? Just pointing out how some people can draw unhealthy conclusions from statements like the one I was responding to : )
  12. @Leo Gura My point is being on the “devils” side keeps you from “seeing god” or realising it. It is not a value judgement to say cravings keep your from full enlightenment. It’s like saying u have engine issues, fixing it will help your car run faster. “But the engine issues are a part of the car” you could say, but that’s besides the point.
  13. @Leo Gura So is ignorance, suffering, and the devil as you call it. It’s not a value judgement. Has to do with the mechanics of realities expressions.
  14. Shinzen never had kundalini though. If you get headaches or if the energy is too intense, simple. Don’t meditate. If you do, you are being stupid. The process is happening with or without constant meditation for those with kundalini so relax.
  15. Lucid dreams are overrated. Dreams are like a pixelated 240p reality. Greatly overrated. Learn to accept life and grow from it instead.
  16. It really doesn’t. & : ) @Inliytened1
  17. @Inliytened1 I have talked about it a bit here. I’m pretty tired now. If people really want to hear it. If a few people ask I can make a detailed post about it. Dont want to spend the effort for a few people just to be like “yeah, but who is it that progresses” or some nonesense
  18. @joeyi99 Buddha, and Christ after his symbolic crucifixion. @Inliytened1 Your belief is not relevant. You just don’t understand the post awakening process or the mechanics of awakening. Like why it happens.
  19. @Inliytened1 You are not really understanding my point.
  20. Not really correct. Just something people that are in the beginning of awakening or stream entry tell themselves to explain the contradictions. Their cognitive dissonance.
  21. @Leo Gura Not fully. Yes. It is fairly clear. On the cross Jesus says “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? “ Then he says “I thirst.” Clear indicators of an individual will, resistance, and so forth. Then he says “It is finished.” “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” His will, his cravings, his thirst and resistance gone. After his “death” he is reborn in heaven. Before he was aware he was “god”. The so. Or god. Yet it was not total. Craving existed. Thirst did as well. Defilements and so on. With their eradication he reached full enlightenment. Keep in mind the crucifixion is likely a symbolic event.
  22. @Leo Gura That event was symbolic though I believe, Christ’s death and resurrection after his abandonment are his full enlightenment after his deepest dark night of the soul, but that’s besides the point. Lets leave it there : )
