This is something you have fabricated. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But someone had to tell you.

I consider someone enlightened to be a mystic. So they would not need to read anymore books on spirituality. They may wanna study history or science- but spirituality was not something they would need. They would already have experienced God.

It is always our duty. We got him into this and we can get him out. I just feel like he got lost in nihilism and it's sad to see. We can break him out if we try hard enough. But you are right- ultimately he has to do that himself.

That's an awesome way to think of it! I love it.

He feels his life is hopeless. There is nothing I can do for him. Maybe you can help him. He feels he was dealt a shit hand and that's it - the movie will just play out with no way to change it. His life will suck because that's just the way it is. I tell him he can change his outlook- but he says God controls that too.

The point is that it is both. Yes - you created and laid out the entire thing. But also, you can stray from it - because who else would? There is no one else. If you stay on it - that's your choice. He's lost in the fact that he thinks he is separate from God. Yes, the ego is not God, but I say to you, he is not the ego. He only thinks he is. This keeps him in this masterful hell he has crafted for himself. A personal hell with walls higher than the greatest army can pierce. But he can go where no arrow can. He can break out of his own prison- if he so chooses.

This has nothing to do with free will. If you limit yourself down to a dumb state and there is ONLY you - then you can't follow a path you made for yourself. Eventually you will stray from it. Because its only you. There is nothing stopping you from straying from it.

You dont need him. Stop thinking that way. You don't require psychedelics to awake - necessarily. Awakening is not in the brain - yet where he is wrong is that within the brain is a change that breaks you out of the illusion that the brain bad consciousness. It is a masterful mind trick. He does not grasp this because his awaken was sober. So was mine - but one must use dream stuff to break out of the dream- because these are the only tools avaliable. One must not dismiss tools that work

Freedom is what you make of it as God- yes. If you want to create your own hell you can surely do that.

No. You ARE the ONLY thing in existence. You are ALL states of Consciousness. You are simply in a particular state right now. A finite, limited state. But that is all.

That infinite Void was nothing but your own Consciousness as God. There is nothing outside of Consciousness and you are IT. The discussion here is not about a void of nothingness- it is about free will and whether something "over there" controls you. It does not. It does not because you ARE Oneness itself. You are IT. Reality cannot go anywhere because it has nowhere to go.

What I am saying is that there is nothing behind the scenes. Your will and God's will are One. There is nothing "over there" predestined. Infinity does not require anything happening elsewhere or somewhere else beyond you. That is the true beauty of Infinity. It is the true power of God.

No no. Psychedelics aren't needed. You are doing it now. The problem is you have bought into the idea that it's hopeless and so hopelessness has become your reality. And you make it seem like hope is impossible.

He doesn't understand that yet. He took spirituality and became brainwashed - the very trap you spoke about in the other thread about religion and spirituality- he has bought into. It's very sad to see it being played out in real time.

This is one of the biggest traps you can fall into with spirituality. The whole no free will bullshit. It has obviously robbed you of your happiness. It is false. But you can believe what you want. You are smart enough to know its not true.

This is a belief and this is a huge trap of spirituality. You have bought into it my friend. You are creating reality now.

Religion steers you away from understanding reality. Spirituality in of itself can be turned into a belief. Just like religion. This is the danger of Buddhism, of non-duality, of spirituality, of science, and of religion. There are dangers everywhere. But I agree with your recommendation. Pure contemplation is the only way.

You are not the ego - you are God. You are Pure Consciousness. Yes, you have limited your state of consciousness- but notice that you haven't died yet. Why is that? Perhaps because the very will that guides whether you live or breath is none other but your will. Maybe God's will and yours is the same. So the actions you take are that of God's- not of the ego. Turn towards the sky...who did that? Who is in charge? Surely someone turned towards the sky. Maybe it was you.
