Enlightenment will not cure you of your addictions, mental illnesses etc. But you will be more conscious of them and more self aware of what triggers them and when they happen. That in itself as well as realizing you are God can lessen their severity to a degree but it will not be the cure. You will have to do your own work on that which can take decades. So yes it can help but isn't the end all be all fix.

@karkaore Yes. Think of your ego as a possibility which plays out in some type of form or particular way. When you have the first awakening/mystical experience/mystical shift in consciousness. The ego/relative/duality collapses leaving non-duality - pure Being/pure potential. In that state you are pure isness. Ultimately you will collapse from the Absolute back to the relative. Back to your ego. From the Ego's perspective now you can only imagine the experience of Pure Being. You are not being it any longer. Yes you are being it, but as form or a particular possibility which is within the formlessn or Infinite Potential. The formless just is itself (no form) After many awakenings and many realizations you are really opened up and can feel Kundalini or Being all the time. You also have a sense of non-dual awareness. (There is more to that but i won't touch on here) But you still cannot be pure Being (non-dual formlessness or pure potential) while you are being a particular form or possibility. Thats what i mean by being in your current dual state.

It doesn't stop there. You should be skeptical of your OWN mind! Have you seen his series on Self Deception?

@karkaore its concept and imagination for you currently. But it's there because you are open minded. (Even though you are Being IT right now) And notice too unless you are presently in a non-dual state it is concept to those who are enlightened. And when you are only Being or Formless you are not form. The difference with enlightenent is that you die and become the Absolute. As the Absolute, Absolute Truths are revealed. You are reborn but no longer the same. However when in dual state those Absolutes are still concept to you...it's just that you are aware of them as Absolutes. That is non-dual awareness without being the formless. It's very tricky.

@Nahm who is there to convince? We can play these games all day and see how language simply dissolves and breaks down. It cannot capture the Absolute. Lets not conflate relative/duality with non-duality the Absolute.

@Neorez right is relative. But there are Absolute Truths which is identical to the One Absolute. All is One.

Listen to music while meditating. Sit with the feeling of Kundalini or Being as i call it and try to be free of thought. Try to not know. That is Love and Love is Bliss.

Indeed the raw feeling of Love prior to thought is the same Love as Absolute Love. Its when you make it relative through thought that it splits into the part. Nothing wrong with the part either.

When we typically talk about Love we are talking about relative love. Because we as Egos are relative. Everything is relative to our perspective, including Love. Nothing wrong with that but we have to be conscious that it's just a part of the whole.

To be honest the Buddha or any enlightened being is beyond stages in that stages are dualistic. So from a dualistic perspective you could place him or any enlightened person into a stage but that will always be relative. The Buddha became the Absolute. Stages cannot go there.

There isn't any problem with science. Science can reveal a lot about Reality because reality literally dreamt it up. You notice this especially after you awaken. The way light can be a particle or a wave relative the observer and how they are observing it. Quantum tunneling in which protons pass through seemingly impossible barriers - this sounds very familiar...like what? Like mysticism And much more. So there isn't a problem with science it is just that the scientists themselves have to evolve and comprehend the philosophical and epistemic ramifications of these discoveries. We aren't there yet. Science is within reality. It cannot capture all of reality. But most think it still can - that is the problem. You cannot grasp the whole from the part. You must pass through that impossible barrier

@Onecirrus you actually may have hit a non-dual state or had a glimpse even it was very brief. What you described indicates that. The bliss is the feeling of the ego beginning to collapse or extract itself from Being leaving only Being or the formless. God in a state of Being is nirvana (it's all nirvana but this is a mystical shift causing extreme feelings of love and bliss.) You were the Infinity of infinity - the whole rather than the part. Even if for just a few moments. You became pure Isness or Being. You can't will it back. But stick to the practices. Keep meditating. Keep listening to Tolle. Keep listening to Leo. Keep contemplating and notice your consciousness expand. Very nice to hear. God has no judgements.

Solipsism is relative. The Absolute is the Absolute. One can make their own relative perspective all that there is by believing that's all their is (everything is in their mind) and it becomes real for them. But don't discount imagining that their are other perspectives. Imagination is part of Infinity too. Becoming the Absolute reveals the Absolute. But reality is so Infinite that one can make the relative the Absolute from their relative perspective. So it's both. Ta da!

Its all One. The part is still the whole.

One can shift awareness from their dual perspective to God's perspective (in the form) . One then has full, whole awareness. This whole awareness allows one to be conscious that all of reality is in One's mind. Every being, object, everything is all in your Mind. The Mind of God. This is Oneness. Once one has such whole awareness they are no longer troubled by the games of duality. Instead they can still dwell in that dual or "part" awareness if they so choose but with joyful play. Afterall, God made it all up. You made it all up.

It's a delicate balance and there are no Absolutes in the realm of the relative. We can sure use a little more Love around here. (From every one of us) Everything is done here from a place of Love but there may be improved ways of doing it so that the Love is more apparent. Leo mentioned he is working with the Mods to strike a balance. We'll evolve. We must!
