Inliytened1 replied to JD8's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@JD8 What is that thing that I connected to / blended with when I was dropping my self? You're true nature - GOD/Absolute Infinity/Being/Pure Consciousness - Is this the experience that we are left with after physical death? Yes - Is dropping the mind (that I needed to do in order to blend / connect) the same as ego death / physical death? Yes (mind = EGo) That's awesome man! . Congrats dude. It's awe inspiring is it not? -
@Alex bAlex Do something that you have a passion for, that excites you, and also something that you find that you might be good at. I.E A person who has very low communication skills may not want to be in sales. But keep in mind Sales - in order to be successful - may also cause you to against your core values. A lot of people get out of sales but they say they just don't want to be untruthful to a potential customer about an aspect of the product they are selling. So if you go into sales make sure it's a product you believe in, and a product that you believe is not going to go against your core values. Really do the research, and try to be authentic in your sales pitches. If you find yourself having to lie in order to get a sale, then maybe that's not such a good place to be. So that's a really big trap to watch out for in any sales type field. On the plus side it can be very financially lucrative. But have to balance wealth with morals or you will ultimately find that you are not truly fulfilled.

@SriBhagwanYogi Just curious but what are the benefits of the cold showers - do they open your chakras more? The reason I ask is that i started using the gym about 2 years ago which has a sauna..so I do about 20 minutes of intense dry heat, then an ice cold shower. I also do about 20 minutes in the steam room and then an ice cold shower. I just wonder if doing this for the months before i had my mystical experience that it helped open me up more. I honestly think it did but it's just intuition. I was just wondering if you guys had heard anything as to why it is good for spirituality. By the way that chick is pretty hot (no pun intended) -

This may be unrelated to the stuff you guys have been talking about, but regarding the original Post - Using the Do Nothing Technique for Addictions - one thing that i found in my own life that makes addictions so difficult to overcome is that certain triggers will set them off in the mind. Once the triggers are set off, and you may be at work and not able to meditate, it can send you spiraling towards that addiction. I.E. you had a stressful day at work, triggering the craving - and you may wanna race to get home to get some whiskey (i'm not talking about myself here hehehe) and you know in the back of your mind that you do NOT want to be doing this, in fact you want to put those thoughts aside and go meditate using Do Nothing until the cravings, and that's what they are - intense cravings - subside. So by Doing Nothing you are suffering through the cravings so to speak. Once you can get into the Meditation state of Doing NOthing you have a much better chance of getting through the cravings. It's the window between the moment a craving is triggered and whether or not you are able to stay strong enough and disciplined enough to ACTUALLY do the meditation and give in to the cravings. If you can identify when the triggers and cravings happen, maybe every 3 days or so, so you can mentally be prepared and go Meta on them when they do, and get yourself into a meditative state to meditate until the cravings pass. But that's basically the idea. Eventually the cravings will get less and less. But you have to really want to beat it. ' -

@Key Elements Words of wisdom to be sure - was something my grandfather taught me when i was like 10 and I never appreciated it. Always try to see things from another person's perspective. -

@Key Elements Yes - Balance is everything. -

@Anton_Pierre You guys are basically saying the same thing. Infinity. -

@zeroISinfinity That's right -

It's what you are fundamentally. It's formless. Whatever you think of it as is not it. Whatever words you call it isn't it. Words can only point to it. -

@moon777light There was a problem with the site over the weekend. That should be resolved, I haven't had any problems today. -

It really depends on the person and what they can kinda handle. You were lucky enough to learn about spirituality early in life so it's even nice to have this "problem" so to speak. But yeah i would say work on getting the basics down as a priority - life purpose/financial freedom. Then focus on the deeper stuff. That will bring you the most fulfillment, but you need to the foundation built first. You seem like a well grounded person where you can pursue both in a conscious way. The problem is where some people think that enlightenment is going to solve all their problems and then when they don't achieve it right away they feel hopeless, then they get lost in this and can't get their basics down. -
Inliytened1 replied to Ellenier's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Jkris There is no difference fundamentally between ego death and physical death. The non-dual experience is the same. Your physical body in itself is an idea. You are a sand castle in infinite sand. Enlightenment is the dissolution of the sand castle. The sand castle comes back together while the idea of your physical body is still exists. So the physical body it's a perception/idea that has affects on other perceptions/ideas so to speak. -

@pluto i would have to agree with you there i believe its a tricky illusion of the ego - a state of mind - It is a thing of the ego. Thats why it can turn into an addiction like alcohol and drugs etc.. -
Inliytened1 replied to Ellenier's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
These are some of the deepest questions you can ask yourself. Death is enlightenment..as you might know. It is the dissolution of the ego in which all dualities collapse and you become Absolute Infinity. Pure unimaginable bliss and if you had a breakthru you know this. Infinity is outside time and space. So to ask yourself how long do you remain as God is only a question you can ask from the ego's perspective. It's tricky. From God's perspective it's Infinite. All dualities collapse. It is infinite! Now you might ask yeah but how long is that? But again notice you find yourself in this finite state now because you forgot you were God and your asking this question FROM your finite perspective! It only has meaning from your perspective! That's the mindfuck. And it is one hell of a mind fuck. Its trying to grasp the Infinite with the finite. But don't look at it as a problem but as how it should and must be! The purpose of enlightenment while the physical body lives is to become conscious of your true nature but not just that..to embody it in the human form. To become so conscious that you view the world from God's perspective as a natural state or as much as is possible with our finite minds. To see the world thru the lens of Truth..which is Absolute Love and the transcendence of all the unconscious dualities we create. To embody wisdom, humility and selflessness. Thats a tall order! It's very deep stuff but its what keeps us passionate about this work. -

@Shin if he isn't enlightened he darn well aughta be..can't get any more open minded -
Inliytened1 replied to Conrad's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Conrad Pure isness. Pure Being. Pure Conscioisness. God. And you are IT. Our words only point to it. -
Inliytened1 replied to Lister's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Lister no one is forcing anything on you. In fact earlier in this post i said it may be something you want to step away from. And truly enlightened people do want to help others become enlightened its just a very sensitive thing and it can't be communicated with words. I don't push it on anyone. Leo is in fact even now trying to pave the way for humanity to become enlightened in future years which is one reason he is experimenting so much with 5-Meo...he feels it could be a good tool to induce enlightenment. Enlightenment is the one of the true ways society will be able to evolve past stage Orange. There is also the fact that when you actually have a non-dual experience its so amazing you want to share it with everyone. Unfortunately it is often met with skepticism which is why teaching enlightenment is so hard and tricky. -

@Lister no one is trying to belittle you here. Don't get the wrong idea -
Inliytened1 replied to Lister's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@zeroISinfinity the higher your consciousness the less the devil. The devil is a low conscious Ego. Pure consciousness is God. High conscious awakened Individual is an angel. -

@Lister Awakening happens when it wants to. But doing the work will help. -

@purerogue that's exactly right! But you can discover it for yourself. Not discover it...BE it. But yeah don't my word for it or anyone elses. -

@zeroISinfinity ok buddy we may need to get you some adderall -
Inliytened1 replied to Lister's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@purerogue i wasnt addressing you actually.. a lot of the people on here who state that spirituality or their in vain quest for awakening is messing up their life or have them in a rut perhaps may be at a stage in their life where it can do more harm than good. Step away from it for a while. But maybe that's not what Shaun and Lister were saying at all. If not i would say this - be open minded. This stuff is real. Zero is right. I have had actual mystical experiences/non-dual experiences. So if you go down this path do not give up and you will see rewards. Even if you don't have a mystical experience your consciousness will skyrocket.
