  1. @Ponder I read a few of your posts and I can tell. One that has aligned with Truth can also recognize Truth. @zeroISinfinity And I think in reference to Ponder's comment about nothingness, he just meant it is formless. Language breaks down so easily because it's so easy for us to misinterpret someone else's words, or we use words in different ways. That's why this stuff is so hard to communicate. All we can do is the best we can with what we have with words. The finite cannot reach outside and grasp the infinite.
  2. @Hellspeed Yes I have become conscious of it in my direct experience.
  3. @rorghee yeah man i hear ya it's a LOT easier said than done...conceptually we can know what to do but doing it is a WHOLE other ball of wax. But i think once you get past the threshold where you stop craving that's when you can beat it.
  4. @Hellspeed what are you talking about? Being is just pure Isness. It is perception minus a perceiver (which is the EGo). Extract yourself out of existence and you might understand!
  5. Ha. Trying to explain or grasp infinity with finity. Good luck. Anything we say to you isn't it because that would be form. You can't describe infinity because its formless and prior to time and space. So in that sense you can think of it as frozen. And saying its expanding in every direction forever isn't quite right either because it already is, was, and will be absolutely Everything! Which includes absolutely nothing...have fun wrapping your mind around that. This only becomes clear with enlightenment. In other words, you can only really become conscious of Absolute Infinity with enlightenment, (As you are Being it) But you are Absolute Infinity!
  6. @XYZ i was gonna ask you i mean you don't wanna be 45 and living in mom's basement even if you are deeply enlightened. Hence the balance. Most people may have to bear thru the shallow stuff of the basics first or while.
  7. @Neorez these things are tricky because you will often have a deep insight or realization and then it's gone. Your ego does not like change so it will distract you from embodying that insight. It takes regular daily work to embody an insight. Keep a journal and review it daily. That way you can track your insights and review them regularly to ensure you are making an effort to embody them. Your ego would love for you to forget it ever happened that's why this spirtual stuff is called work
  8. @Surfingthewave its normal. You might even feel some depression. It will pass just hang in there.
  9. @Monkey-man just happen to see this post and man that is such a good question. But I think like Shin said you just to have to kind of wait for your ego to cycle through to a phase where it has its guard down. That's also why it is said that enlightenment happens when it wants to. But that's why Leo likes 5-MEO so much, it supposedly just breaks down the ego's defenses seamlessly.
  10. @SOUL @SOUL That's in the past so yes it is @Shin Nighty night sleep tight and don't let the bananas bite
  11. @SOUL Yeah but the ego itself is an illusion - past and future is an illusion - so that's the irony. The Ego wants to keep the concept of itself alive and in doing so it drives itself insane That's why a lot of people say obsessing about the past is insanity, because none of it is real. Only the present moment is Actual. -- Or what Shin said - just without the bananas
  12. @JD8 What is that thing that I connected to / blended with when I was dropping my self? You're true nature - GOD/Absolute Infinity/Being/Pure Consciousness - Is this the experience that we are left with after physical death? Yes - Is dropping the mind (that I needed to do in order to blend / connect) the same as ego death / physical death? Yes (mind = EGo) That's awesome man! . Congrats dude. It's awe inspiring is it not?
  13. @Alex bAlex Do something that you have a passion for, that excites you, and also something that you find that you might be good at. I.E A person who has very low communication skills may not want to be in sales. But keep in mind Sales - in order to be successful - may also cause you to against your core values. A lot of people get out of sales but they say they just don't want to be untruthful to a potential customer about an aspect of the product they are selling. So if you go into sales make sure it's a product you believe in, and a product that you believe is not going to go against your core values. Really do the research, and try to be authentic in your sales pitches. If you find yourself having to lie in order to get a sale, then maybe that's not such a good place to be. So that's a really big trap to watch out for in any sales type field. On the plus side it can be very financially lucrative. But have to balance wealth with morals or you will ultimately find that you are not truly fulfilled.
  14. @SriBhagwanYogi Just curious but what are the benefits of the cold showers - do they open your chakras more? The reason I ask is that i started using the gym about 2 years ago which has a sauna..so I do about 20 minutes of intense dry heat, then an ice cold shower. I also do about 20 minutes in the steam room and then an ice cold shower. I just wonder if doing this for the months before i had my mystical experience that it helped open me up more. I honestly think it did but it's just intuition. I was just wondering if you guys had heard anything as to why it is good for spirituality. By the way that chick is pretty hot (no pun intended)
  15. This may be unrelated to the stuff you guys have been talking about, but regarding the original Post - Using the Do Nothing Technique for Addictions - one thing that i found in my own life that makes addictions so difficult to overcome is that certain triggers will set them off in the mind. Once the triggers are set off, and you may be at work and not able to meditate, it can send you spiraling towards that addiction. I.E. you had a stressful day at work, triggering the craving - and you may wanna race to get home to get some whiskey (i'm not talking about myself here hehehe) and you know in the back of your mind that you do NOT want to be doing this, in fact you want to put those thoughts aside and go meditate using Do Nothing until the cravings, and that's what they are - intense cravings - subside. So by Doing Nothing you are suffering through the cravings so to speak. Once you can get into the Meditation state of Doing NOthing you have a much better chance of getting through the cravings. It's the window between the moment a craving is triggered and whether or not you are able to stay strong enough and disciplined enough to ACTUALLY do the meditation and give in to the cravings. If you can identify when the triggers and cravings happen, maybe every 3 days or so, so you can mentally be prepared and go Meta on them when they do, and get yourself into a meditative state to meditate until the cravings pass. But that's basically the idea. Eventually the cravings will get less and less. But you have to really want to beat it. '
  16. @Key Elements Words of wisdom to be sure - was something my grandfather taught me when i was like 10 and I never appreciated it. Always try to see things from another person's perspective.
  17. @Anton_Pierre You guys are basically saying the same thing. Infinity.
  18. It's what you are fundamentally. It's formless. Whatever you think of it as is not it. Whatever words you call it isn't it. Words can only point to it.
  19. @moon777light There was a problem with the site over the weekend. That should be resolved, I haven't had any problems today.
  20. It really depends on the person and what they can kinda handle. You were lucky enough to learn about spirituality early in life so it's even nice to have this "problem" so to speak. But yeah i would say work on getting the basics down as a priority - life purpose/financial freedom. Then focus on the deeper stuff. That will bring you the most fulfillment, but you need to the foundation built first. You seem like a well grounded person where you can pursue both in a conscious way. The problem is where some people think that enlightenment is going to solve all their problems and then when they don't achieve it right away they feel hopeless, then they get lost in this and can't get their basics down.
  21. @Jkris There is no difference fundamentally between ego death and physical death. The non-dual experience is the same. Your physical body in itself is an idea. You are a sand castle in infinite sand. Enlightenment is the dissolution of the sand castle. The sand castle comes back together while the idea of your physical body is still exists. So the physical body it's a perception/idea that has affects on other perceptions/ideas so to speak.
  22. @Shin i can't guarantee that it will be free but i can give you a money back guarantee
