@Aakash thats the paradox. You nailed it. Dr

@How to be wise Leo is holding onto his ego. I hate to say this but so are you. If you let go you will be no more. All we have is ego and pure being. Pure being cannot post here. Only ego can post here.

@Leo Gura I didn't get the vibe that he was intentionally trying to infect others with ignorance, but that he was merely pondering. I could be mistaken of course. @Eric Tarpall That's what a paradox is. It will blow the finite mind. Your finite mind will never be able to grapple with consciousness. -
Inliytened1 replied to Eric Tarpall's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Shadowraix Indeed, and he IS that same thing, just as you are. He just is not conscious of it from his own ego's perspective. -

@TheAvatarState Yeah, i became conscious of that while contemplating this post last night - that you were being humble by asking this. You are a super intelligent individual - i know that from talking to you prior. And I know that you have had glimpses. Since the majority of the time you are answering questions on this forum, Just the fact that you showed humility by this post and actually asked a question on this forum will push you into enlightenment (if not now at some point soon) Do do not fear, it will reveal itself to you when the time comes. Looking back, for me it was a lifetime in the making. For me the past few years contained deep suffering - over what I will not discuss here - but it matters not. But i do believe the deep suffering, combined with open mindedness, the ability to be humble, and the lack of any particular belief or dogma, can lead to awakening. You are well on that path my friend, and you will find it. But remember, for me it took near 50 years. You are what, in your 20's or early 30's? You have wisdom already well beyond your years, so it will probably reveal itself to you a decade sooner than it happened for me. -

@Leo Gura Agreed - always more content to learn - and even if you have had one awakening there are so many facets of awakening that there is much to experience (actually to be and become conscious of) there as well. -
Inliytened1 replied to TheAvatarState's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@TheAvatarState absolutely - you are basically at the point in your spiritual journey where you just need to BECOME it. I like one of the references Leo made I think it was the Leo hits rock bottom one - where he was like - even if you say consciousness is "nothing" you are going to far...It's just....."IT". I'm usually like, it's "just..." and then I feel the isness, i don't even say it. So yeah, it sounds like you need a true awakening or if you had one you are realizing the rest is content within "it". (and i said too much) -

When i had my enlightenment experience it was almost as if I had despersonalization disorder - but that it wasn't actually a disorder it was BEING!. So maybe you got a glimpse and the glimpse is still there, and may be there for a few more weeks until you return to normal. When you become your true self - Being - you are no longer your small self so it will feel very depersonalized, but that's in a good way. Your ego will try to creep in there and give you anxiety because that is the way it keeps hold of you and prevents you from enlightenment. So yes it will pass. -
Inliytened1 replied to EvilAngel's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@EvilAngel That's pretty funny - i tried that yesterday, it doesn't work too tell well for me after the first 30 minutes....at first it will help calm the mind down and actually can be pretty effective at that so long as you don't lose too much focus/awareness...but once you start getting just a little too much alcohol in your blood you lose that laser sharp focus and sensitivity and that will prevent you from really making gains with your meditation. At least that's my experience - so i don't mix alcohol with meditation LOL. -
@Belay kelemework Belay, it appears you have not experienced enlightenment therefore to you will not truly grasp what is being pointed to within Leo's videos (and can't be understood by language because "it" (being) is prior to language. Let me ask you a question...you believe in your God right? Well - where do you think your God came from? Who made your God? I want you to start to see where your paradigm will collapse. You will run into the infinite regress problem. What you fail to grasp (which is enlightenment) is infinity itself. When you understand infinity all of this will make sense.

Well think of this way guys - after you have "awoken" you become conscious of non-duality; of oneness. So there is no one else BUT you...but then, there is also no where else to go but the "dream"...the "matrix" and/or whatever you wish to call it. There is only this - content-concept on top of being. So, most people who have awoken realize they need to go back into the dream, and "play" in the dream. To do this, you're basically "pretending" that the dream is real, and therefore it actually is real. So keep in mind that the only reason you are here is that God tricked himself into thinking that there is duality - so basically you are going back into the trick, but this time taking things much LESS seriously. It's like living the dream, literally. So basically you can relax, take things really light and enjoy the dream - because as long as you are "playing along" it's real. You need to be able to flip between the dream and oneness at will - to jump between perspectives. But most importantly you can keep oneness in the back of your mind at all times so that you can apply the wisdom to your "dualistic" life and vastly improve your life. But moral of the story is life is what you make it - if you wanna make it dualistic, then it's dualistic! Of course, those of us who are enlightened know that's not the essence of God, but its still a "part" of God in the sense that he/it thought up the concept and content. I dunno, maybe I'm rambling. But another way to look at it is to say, well, there is no way i can be inferior anymore because I'm too "short" or too "tall" or not good looking enough. Because deep down there is only being and there is only you! So Oneness should be a bigtime help for inferiority complexes! -
I think its super beneficial to go back and listen to them multiple times too - so you guys should never not have content available, there is always something new to glean even from an episode you already listened to. For those of you who already had an awakening and it has become memory due to ego backlash listening to the content multiple times will keep deepen your enlightenment and shorten your time between mystical experiences. You also have to make sure you are doing the consciousness work as well!

@Aakash Good luck to you too. Indeed being is all there really is - everything else is illusion/content/concept Initially becoming conscious of this (enlightenment) led to some bigtime ego backlash when I realized that i never really existed. But these days I take things much much lighter, as if in a dream (which is actually what it is), and I enjoy the dream. I also enjoy just "being" the most, and I don't search for peace outward anymore, I find it within myself - as that's all there is. Good luck friend! -
I was staring at my hand completely grounded in actuality (being) when the doubt of God completely subsided. I gazed into infinity itself and realized absolute infinity is why there actually is God and as i became fully conscious of this i burst into tears. I became conscious of the paradox of how God is impossible yet possible.

Inliytened1 replied to noselfnofun's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@noselfnofun Very good observation. Personally I do believe you do need to be at a certain level of personal development, which often comes with a lot of suffering, in order to achieve it. At least that is what i have experienced in my own life. However that said, everyone is different, and everyone has their own perspective so I do not think you should limit yourself into thinking that you are not ready for enlightenment yet. This path has to be walked alone. -
Inliytened1 replied to Inliytened1's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Robi Steel Riiles, only been walking this path about six months. I had what i an incredible awakening - enlightenment, about 5-6 months ago and during that awakening i also became conscious of God. But this experience the other day blindsighted me as it was out of the blue and just more focused on God. Took my breath away. -
Inliytened1 replied to Inliytened1's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Anton Rogachevski Anton - I have never used pyschedelics in the past - I was a materialist who stumbled onto Leo's site for an alcohol addiction. His teachings immediately resonated with me, because I always intuited that something wasn't right with the traditional paradigm. This paradigm broke when you try to imagine a tree falling in the forest and making a sound when there is no one there to "perceive or hear it". So I think i had some type of spiritual gift for this stuff. That said i don't think anyone should dismiss the fact that they can become enlightened in just a few weeks of mediation. It all depends on where you are at in your life in terms of your own development, level of suffering, consciousness, etc. etc. -

@tedens teden check out Leos video called what is perception i think that will help a lot. As others said we can only point to it with language you can message me and i can help you to try and grasp it further but it is your true self when you strip away your ego..when you become conscious of this you and be being itself you will become eniightened. -
Inliytened1 replied to Peo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura LOL probably -
Inliytened1 replied to Peo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Are we getting lost in concept and imagination here and not in what is real? -
Inliytened1 replied to Peo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This question is the same question as why does anything equal anything. Its concept and not actuality. -
Inliytened1 replied to Peo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You guys are overthinking this to the thousandth degree. Concept and imagination. It just IS. The question is just imagination and so is the answer. There is just direct experience. -
Inliytened1 replied to Peo's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Leo Gura absolute infinity. Plain and simple. At first this answer seems cliche.. like "oh well you can't say anything that you don't have a direct answer for is absolute infinity." But actually it fucking is! When you become conscious of that in your direct experience you understand. More directly though i was always a person who felt "being" from an early age. Often i would just feel the understanding of something rather than be able to easily describe it in words. You either just get "isness" or you don't right off the bat and whether you do or not..well since everything is one that is simply infinity at work. Since reality is an absolute relativity all that is real is what is YOUR direct experience. All of this is just concepts. -
Inliytened1 replied to MM1988's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@bejapuskas Your Big self is immortal, but not your little self. Your little self, the ego, will look at things differently after becoming conscious that you are consciousness itself. So when you say "you are this and you are that" remember that you are saying that relative from a particular perspective. Relativity bro -
Inliytened1 replied to MM1988's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@bejapuskas you are referring to the "you are already enlightened" perspective. Yes, from that perspective you are correct. I'm talking form the perspective of becoming aware that you ARE immortal. You are always what you are, yes, but becoming conscious of it is enlightenment - from that perspective of course.
