Inliytened1 replied to Akuma's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
He's right at the brink - he just needs a non-dual experience...like Leo said he is right where Einstein was...sadly it is said that none of the founding fathers of Quantum Mechanics were enlightened. The problem is these guys have been scientists there entire life, so to become 100% open minded to spirituality is nearly impossible for them. The only way you can discover the truth for yourself is if you are completely unbiased to ANYTHING. That you don't have any paradigms of your own or at least are open to others. I don't know much about Joe other than remembering seeing him host MMA fights - but he seems open minded and may just need to stumble on Actualized.org and actually mediate and maybe take some DMT LOL. I think he would be dumbfounded. Long term scientists might be a different story. -
Yes, in a sense it does boil down to that. But self actualization, self development, self-awareness, etc, is an ongoing process and you are never really finished with it until your ego dies. That said, the more self actualized you become the more you become fulfilled being in the present moment - thus the happier you are as an individual.

@Krisena Krisena what i meant is that the root of OCD is uncertainty..thats why its also known as the doubt disorder. While enlightenment is complete certainty..its the paradox of OCD. Therefore they are one. I have had pure OCD my entire life so i know how debilitating it can be. My obsessions were with immorality and immoral thoughts though i have other forms as well. The guilt of my thoughts and not realizing it was OCD in my early life nearly destroyed me. So yes while his case might not be true OCD he can still benefit from the wisdom. That said..by dwelling on the fact that "oh its an illness" and not looking at OCD from the opposite side of the coin one will have very little hope of recovery. Afterall all that we are is our perspective. Its true that some are so crippled by the disorder that becoming conscious of any of this may be beyond them but for many they have more mild cases. Its a lot like the paradox of good and evil. If you take a non dual approach to evil you can never overcome it as you still look at evil as evil.

@Tony 845 Ha..i have pure O too bro and awakened about a month ago. A full awakening. When you become pure being it is cured. It is completely gone because you have pure consciousness. How ironic right? The name pure OCD and pure consciousness and how they cancel eachother out. Its gone because you have complete certainty and you are everything. Even a deeply enlightened person doesn't walk around forever in this state because in truth thats death. So as your small self after being enlightened (because you do come back changed) your OCD will be drastically better..why? Because your consciousness has increased even as your small self. And you are more self aware. Your OCD gets weaker and less pure. You can identify it immediately and shoot it down and with mediation it really gets weak. Initially when i returned to my ego my OCD tried to make me doubt that what i experienced was real even though i had mystical experience and non duality experience after non duality experience one after another after another for a week straight..waking up in the middle of the night etc. I mean i was fucking still trying to tell myself that spirituality wasn't real after all that so i needed to ground myself in meditation immediately following...because someone with OCD can be prone to really bad ego backlash especially since no one around you would really believe or understand which only feeds the OCD (Everyone i know is a materialist and either blue or orange) as was i before i stumbled onto spirituality and only gave it an open mind after seeing Leos addiction videos and intuitively sensing this was right after spending decades trying to find peace looking outwards and running from the sense of emptiness and uncertainty that OCD feeds you....but oh how things come full circle don't they? Message me if you want to discuss further -
@Elysian Thats exactly right. But its even deeper than that. That's why i don't consider OCD - the doubt disorder - to be an illness. It's just as much an illness as it is a gift. If you truly have OCD you also have a direct sense into the gateless gate. For that is what OCD is. You sense the uncertainty of the nothingness. That's why i believe you can become enlightened much easier (without pyschedelics) as with what happened with me. All the pieces must be in place of course. Having OCD is just part of it. For me it was decades of running unconsciously from the nothingness and the OCD although paradoxically sensing i needed to run towards it...to look inward and be the emptiness. So those with OCD do not despair for you have the keys to the gateless gate. You just have to find it. On a less deep note the others all make valid points. In order to manage your OCD you have to be self aware and aware of when the obsessive thoughts come up..to let them pass and remember they are not you and are illusory. This is the essence of mediatation and self actualization anyway. Its just a shame most OCD sufferers don't even know what they have and even if they do they believe that their thoughts are them and real and the guilt of their thoughts will slice through their being. So meditation and self awareness are the keys to managing OCD.

@Elysian HI Elysian, this is excellent advice. I was going to advise him on the Do Nothing Meditation, but it sounds like you have a lot more knowledge than I do. I've had Pure OCD my entire life, which is thought obsessions, with no physical compulsions. It's like torture. On the other hand, I've always had a very hightened intuition about consciousness and non-duality, so when I found spirituality and actualized.org, within a few weeks of mediation I experienced awakening and liberation. It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in my life. Enlightenment alone will bring your OCD to much loser levels, but it won't get rid of it completely - that said with the practice he specifies above you can probably get to complete liberation from OCD or at least so low that it is pretty much just something small in the backround that comes up here and there but is very tolerable. As he says though, it must be incorporated into your lifestyle for the rest of your life (the meditation practices) to keep these illnesses away.

@Leo Gura One thing i think people get confused with is yes that's true from the perspective of the absolute, consciousness, the higher self, the godhead, (and of course if you watched Leo's video there are many names for it) but in essence, your true self. Don't get that confused with the partitioned consciousness, the small self that is your ego. From there you are one perspective and reality is relative. You are in a "dream" which is consciousness - so everything in the dream is just that. Your mother is still your mother, but you don't have access FROM YOUR perspective to her consciousness, to her memories, otherwise you would no longer be YOU, and you would be HER. So when these things are discussed we should be careful from which perspective we are talking about. The absolute, or the part! What happened with Akuma is he got a glimpse of his true self - and it's fucking majestic, beautiful, beyond words, and terrifying at the same time. it's like DAMN, whole shit, I AM EVERYTHING. Then you sync back into your ego and it's like, wtf? -

A nice example of Relativity. -

It's funny because the paradox of enlightenment is that sometimes as was with me before my enlightenement due to lack of consciousness I wanted the money but afterwards and during I actually thought about that and it feels like you won every lottery there is.. But you won the lottery of life itself not of money. You won consciousness. And money exists within consciousness. So what you won is just so much deeper than money. The materialist would choose money everytime because they simply don't have the consciousness to see what is truly fulfilling in life This realization can actually bring you to tears especially if you were at orange for so long. So it's more than just a dumb question it's a actually a very interesting one. The answer lies in your perspective and hence level of consciousness. -

@SBB4746 nailed! Funny thing is pure consciousness has to be so rare that it might be 1 in a billion people. Even the most enlightened people still have shit lingering somewhere. So you would never actually know if you met the guy. -

@Joseph Maynor @Joseph Maynor You mean the fact that I am indeed an idea as well and not real? There is in fact no difference. And I became conscious of this the week I became enlightened. And on the day of that realization and true consciousness of my true being I basically went from complete bliss to feeling dead inside. Not sure how to even describe the despair of that moment of realization other than to say see my post on stomaching the truth. Ego backlash resulted. -
Inliytened1 replied to Tistepiste's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Joseph Maynor correct. There is only the idea or concept of the body which exists within consciousness. How did this come about? That is what the great mind which is all of infinity simply mustered up. It's the same question as to why there is a tree or why there is existence. Infinity is everything.... -
Inliytened1 replied to Tistepiste's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Joseph Maynor There isn't... The body exists within consciousness as well. -
Inliytened1 replied to Freyah's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Absolutely.. I believe it was actually my longing for my ex (combined with a lot of other factors that all came together) that actually helped bring about my ultimate enlightenment. It was such intense suffering over a 5 year span that liberation for me was the ultimate release. -

@tecladocasio yes... Those at the highest levels can live completely ordinary lives... They don't necessarily have to but they might. In fact they probably will be much more on the simpler and more minimalist side than to the contrary. That said that doesn't mean they aren't aware of everything and can't mentor another person.. It all depends on whether or not that's something that they desire to do. Alternatively some people although deeply enlightened may not have the consciousness to actually teach. It's actually something they haven't developed yet. -
Inliytened1 replied to Tony 845's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Your probably not going to get a ton of replies to this because most of us here so I've noticed are enlightened. So.. Myself? I'm not trying to be arrogant but once you reach a certain level you no longer look up to anyone else... Not because you are better but because you are conscious. Your Conscious that there is no one else but yourself. So umm... -

A giant mindfuck. Literally it is a giant mind so just add the fuck part! -
Inliytened1 replied to Tistepiste's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You are partitioned consciousness. Why is consciousness partitioned? Again God cannot experience everything without partitioning itself. -
Leo I'm in Chicago so would love for you to come there sometime in 2019.

NO - you are ABSOLUTELY right....skip all the mumbojumbo BS and know this: Pure being - becoming being itself, cannot be put into words, so you are right - it just HAPPENS. (your point to clicks on it's own) All the other stuff helps get your mind quiet enough and open enough to where it can just happen. And when it happens, words cant fucking describe it.. You will just drop to your knees and say "Oh my fucking god" "oh my fucking god" over and over and over.
