@Tim Ho do you realize this thread is 4 years old? Seems as if the OP is active though but not in a few months.

Permanent enlightenment is Infinity/Absolute Love /Absolute Goodness. All of us finite beings, though we may have woken up, still return to being finite. And to be finite is to be imperfect. It is to wrestle with ego. But reality would be a HELL of a lot better...no pun intended. Crime would be nearly gone, war would be a thing of the past.... That would be a much more conscious, turquoise society, far more advanced - with Love/Pure Consciousness as its focal point. Though not without its imperfections, it would be much like that highly advanced alien society you imagine is out there somewhere - or humanity in 1000 years.

Awareness and Nothing (and for that matter Everything) can be used interchangeably as they all point to Infinity. And actually its the opposite - when you actually become conscious of yourself - that there is nothing outside of yourself - that is total enlightenment which is omniscience. But you have to become directly conscious that you can't reach outside of yourself to point back at yourself because anything you try to do that with is you. And you become directly conscious a that moment that you are Infinity. (I am using the word you in the Absolute sense here). Good luck on the path.

From what i have seen he hasn't awoken yet - but that's OK. It just won't thrust him into turquoise at the moment. You are gonna wanna learn from someone who is a true mystic. Leo is a mystic. Adyashanti is another. Peter Ralston, Donald Walsch, etc. Now some of these only teach spirituality and that's fine. For spirituality you are gonna want guys like this...and its a short list. For the stuff that is the content of reality - well that's a whole different arena.

Absolutely its normal. You will need enlightenment to experience such a radical shift in consciousness. And even then coming back and integrating what you realized can take years.

That isness or Actuality (or direct experience) is God. And that's what everything is - that's what you are as there is only Infinity. So you are imagining other beings are real. They are a projection of your own mind as God. Because you are them. And when you finish being you, you will experience being "them" . So you can think of it as an alternate reality but it really isn't because like a video game you are the developer of the game. So you are imagining everything. So from whatever POV you are Presently being all other is held within your imagination. Where else would it be?

@ajai i like the finger / hand analogy. Look at one of your fingers. Acknowledge it or become conscious thar it is the finger. Now shift your consciousness and understand that it is the whole hand. Do you see how it is the finger or the hand based on what perspective it takes? This is why reality is Perspectival. God can shift perspectives or states of consciousness but it is still One. It can narrow itself down to the finger or it can expand to the whole hand. Of course the hand is not Actual Infinity but it's a really good analogy which shows how Infinity can expand and contract. That's what's its doing when it's looking through your eyes...its being the finger..

And you would be correct. Even though others are you, it is a selfish act to willingly disappear. Because God is playing a game with Itself and tricking itself into believing there are others. And so here we are. And it's doing so to share Infinite Love with itself. True mahasamadhi is to become Pure Inifnity via selflessness (for example the willingness to die for your wife) and thus remove the form you currently occupy for pure formlessness. But it cannot happen with finite will because finite will is ego.

You see how the ego is twisting this into selfishness for itself? And what is the result of the ego's selfishness? Suffering. Not awakening. And yes counterintuitively since reality is One and circular that same suffering will actually grow you. But you have to forget the ego's desires and just clear the mind. Clear the mind through meditation and meditate for lets say 100 hours. Then take pcyhedelics if you want but don't attach anything to them.

@Mips If i were you - which i am - i would still listen to the videos. You could even listen to some of the self inquiry and other exercises while doing self inquiry meditation. Ultimately of course awakening will come with you merging with the present moment but opening your mind on a conceptual level can still help promote shifts in your consciousness. It sounds like you know the difference between actuality and imagination which is vital. Otherwise you could get lost in concepts in which the videos would steer you astray.

You need to actually live through each possibility so it can be actualized for You. now of course raw infinity is pure potential and in that state everything has happened and is happening and also nothing has happened is happening
