@Mezanti i experienced this too...i think mainly give it time to find out who you are. Maybe you feel a lack of identity and therefore need to be whatever others want you to be because you have no idea who you are yet. On the flipside having a loose identity is good for spiritual work - if you do self inquiry there is a good chance you can find Truth and have an awakening. This will help bigtime. But more realistically i think you have to develop a sense of who you are because with that will come a sense of confidence deep within - to where you stop caring about what people think. This seems to also be deeply ingrained in some of us and we need a lot of deprogramming to help us past this.

Maybe you're a kangaroo then.

For many with anxiety disorders weed will trigger panic attacks. That is also why pyschedelics isn't for everyone. -

You will be directly conscious of the answer when you awaken to yourself. You will discover that you are infinite and there cannot be anything outside of yourself. -

Agreed. In fact it is both. And i am not disagreeing with @Arhattobe either. Bless his heart but he became very defensive right away and also made assumptions about my own "defilements" whatever they may be and level of enlightenment. This could be perceived as an impurity or defilement of his own that perhaps he needs to work on @Ero great post...a lot of good points there. Look, Truth is a very tricky thing as Leo often states. It is not black and white at all. But as @Ero and @Arhattobe both point out the higher ones consciousness levels become the more at peace a person is going to be with themselves. One big reason for this is by this level they are conscious that that they are all of reality, or God - and that in a sense they are already perfect from God's perspective. That Reality is One and it is Love. That in fact they are the Buddah and Jesus. And with these higher consciousness levels whatever relative impurifications a person has will ultimately clear up - for them. With more awakenings and the deepening of One's enlightenment, suffering is reduced. If one can reach a point of no suffering then at that point any finite egoic desires - for control, permanent pleasure, etc will ultimately dissipate and the individual would be at the level of Jesus. Just a carefree selfless loving being that is not a slave to his own ego. -

I'm simply stating that a "defilement" is a relative term. I understand your points. But this can't be escaped. -
Inliytened1 replied to Arhattobe's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Arhattobe ignorance is not the same as impurities though. You are basically saying that the absence of ignorance via enlightenment ultimately should result in the absence of impurity correct? Therefore total enlightenment by your definition is the vanquishing of impurities through total understanding of one's self and reality. When you are all knowing there cannot be any impurities left. Yet here we hit a paradox. We are still left with the fact that impurities are relative. If i feel that i am completely pure while maintaining an addiction post enlightenment - who is to say that is wrong? When there is no longer a fear of anything than how can it be wrong? So you see where we run into a paradox here? -
Inliytened1 replied to Arhattobe's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This basically separates enlightenment with "purification" of the ego. Which i agree with. I put that in quotes because who is to say what purification is? That is relative or dualistic. The realizations of which you speak only occur in non-dual states. It is a paradox as is reality. So there is no right or wrong definition of enlightenment. -

@mods this should probably be moved to the appropriate section of the forum @AlldayLoop totally. Hopefully he knows this being on them already he should have been advised this by a therapist. -
Inliytened1 replied to Jacobsrw's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Jacobsrw this is exactly why enlightenment is liberation. And yes we can relatively speak of levels of enlightenment but the realizations of reality and Oneness will shine the light on the fear of death and bring you a sense of peace. -

@ethanb121 cool if you don't need them great but don't do it because others say its bad do it for yourself. -

@AlldayLoop is spot on. For someone with a mental disorder they will alter consciousness levels. They can relieve the blockages that these disorders can cause. -

Materialism will melt away before your eyes never to return when you awaken to the nature of reality. That only takes that particular awakening and it will be gone. The more mystical experiences or awakenings you have the less suffering you will have - so keep at it. Sight of the Ox signals the commencement of the hunt! -

Even without ever doing pyschedelics that would make logical sense to me - in fact i would think it would be more powerful than a therapist because therapists can't truly understand you - only you can. You have to discover yourself for yourself - no one is going to do it for you. Most therapists just sit back and listen then prescribe meds. Of course specific psycho analysts may be different - but still - they cannot access your mind. Only you can. And pyschedelics raise consciousness levels bringing you closer to infinite Intelligence - thereby increasing the chances of you understanding and dissolving your own baggage. Time and experience and careful contemplation of yourself can also do this. -

@Shaun he is only talking from one perspective in those scenarios. He acknowledges there are other perspectives. Sometimes he just speaks from the highest perspective. Otherwise he wouldn't engage in politics or society or any of that. -
Inliytened1 replied to thetrut11's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
All this says is that reality is a Mind - it is consciousness. And that you are a finite part of consciousness as is everyone else. And from a certain consciousness level, or perspective, you are able to see that you are all the parts simultaneously. Because consciousness is formless and infinite. I think this paradigm just threatens yours because you are locked into the Materialist paradigm. So you'll stay trapped there if you are not open minded. I think deep down though, you know that there is something more to reality than it being a dumb clockwork universe - otherwise you wouldn't be here. But you are trying to make up excuses to stay locked in your paradigm. Your issue is that you see the true paradigm as something grim and depressing and it's not. It's actually elegant and beautiful. -
@Frazza4 yes but its you as infinite consciousness that is being all of the other people in infinite dimensions simultaneously. Everything is consciousness it's just partitioned and you as your limited form only have access to your partition. At a certain level of conscioisness you can become aware that it is One single hard drive though and you can look through a lens or perspective in which you see the whole Hard drive is you. And since everything is consciousness its substance is nothing. So there is no objective world out there.

@Western Buddha its not about them its about you. Need to forgive yourself and let it go. If its not in your direct consciousness as a thought then it doesn't exist. It was all imagination.

Well here it is being referred to the death of the ego - however there have been several times when i have had mystical experiences where i have been hit with an awesome force that feels like a tornado hitting your body from the inside - forcing you to surrender because it is too powerful for a mortal to handle - it feels like all of Infinity - which the finite cannot contain. No chance as it will blow the doors off of you. -

Inliytened1 replied to thetrut11's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You can actually reach a level of consciousness in which you are all alone as God and that you are being all things simultaneously. He's not making it up. It's the real deal. If it didn't happen to me i would have thought it was crazy too. But under normal consciousness levels this is not the way it is at all - otherwise you wouldn't be able to function in the world which is dualistic. So by design as a finite being you are not normally at this level of consciousness. And it is obvious that very few human beings have reached this state. I do not know why that is. But it is Truth. Of course me telling you this won't make a difference I'm simply stating you shouldn't automatically assume it is toxic fabrications when you don't know that for certain. -

Are you saying that form/material is infinite and that its substance the formless is finite? The form is both finite and infinite (its identical) and the formless is infinite (again identical) -

This is not the Dark Night of the Soul. The Dark Night of the Soul is becoming fully conscious that you are NOTHING. Everything else is just playing around.
