Yes it may have been a non-dual state or a state of pure Being which is blissful. It just didn't accompany any particular realization..as in you were the experience. (That you are pure awareness) -

@WisdomSeeker how else can we communicate but through duality? -

@Average Investor Shinzen Young calls it enlightenment's evil twin. I have experienced it by itself and also after an awakening. It is as @StephenK says. Its half baked enlightenment because it is the dissolution of the self, but it is not God realization. (Or realization of your true nature or Self with a capital S) Enlightenment is both. -
And there are Absolutes. Good vs evil collapse into the Absolute Good. Love vs hate collapse into the Absolute Love, etc. Relativity collapses into the Absolute.
-
As @Serotoninluv states it is a relative question as all things are relative in the realm of form. So it is indeed based on perspective. From your finite POV it is totally up to you whether you should pursue awakening. You have been blessed to have been shown the path and now it is up to you to pursue. Remember - you ARE God. So it matters through you. I wasn't implying it didn't matter from the Absolute perspective, i was saying it didn't matter through which perspectives. My relative take is that it will improve your life beyond measure but it is not without going through painful ego backlash. The ego does not go quietly into the night. But the reward outweighs the cost. Yet i digress and do not want to go off topic ??
-
@WisdomSeeker the path is there but not every finite being is going to find it or be able to find it. What i am saying is it matters not from God's perspective. You as God actually want to experience all possible perspectives, even what it's like to be a slave that never has the chance to awaken to itself.
-
@WisdomSeeker well if you look at it from the highest perspective, everything is indeed One. That makes You everyone. Which means You are also experiencing the perspective of the slaves. All of this is happening simultaneously as Infinity is non-linear. So from the highest perspective, which finite perspective awakens to itself and which doesn't really becomes a non-issue.

@Mindfang413 we throw these words around like they are no big deal but when you truly grasp what is being said it will be eniightenment. -

@Raptorsin7 its not the petty little human love. Its Absolute Love. Absolute Divinity. Its so powerful that it will knock you to your knees and leave you reeling. It will leave you in uncontrollable tears of bliss. -
Inliytened1 replied to Red-White-Light's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Red-White-Light The materialist paradigm just assumes there is a physical world and consciousness exists within the brain. Once you become conscious that physical reality is in fact held within consciousness, then your old paradigm is shattered. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy duality. It's just recontexualized. By continuing the work you can become conscious that duality is in fact identical to non-duality, thereby coming full circle. It's quite wonderful after that. -

To be more precise this is awakening to your true nature as empty awareness or consciousness. That there is no self. -

Yes they collapse into One. Construction = destruction. -

Because You tricked yourself. And you fell for it ? You splintered yourself into an infinite number of finite beings in order to experience yourself. Infinity already is itself so it must limit itself and create a sense of separation in order to know itself. Ultimately you will merge back into Infinity which is what you are fundamentally. And this process will repeat for eternity because there is no where else to go. -
Inliytened1 replied to VeganAwake's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
There are many facets of the Absolute that you can awaken to. That the small self is an illusion is a facet of the Absolute. For example you can awaken to Absolute Infinity - or you can awaken to the fact that you are literally made out of nothing. Or you can awaken to Absolute Love. Or you can awaken to the fact that you are completely and utterly alone - which is quite scary because it recontexualizes everything in an instant. Or that you are full blown God. All of these epiphanies require mystical experiences and elevated states of consciousness a thousand times higher than normal human levels. -

Learn to go meta. Step outside yourself and see emotion as illusory. Then when emotion comes, simply feel fully through the emotion but attach no meaning to it, thus allowing it to rise and fall away just as you would going meta on thoughts while doing the do nothing technique of meditation. -

Love it!! Except i believe its bring them all not within them all. God is both Gandalf and Sauron simultaneously! -
@Ryan_047 Actually there are studies now that show pyschedelics are way better than SSRIs. Maybe look into the psychedelic path for healing your depression. They are not addictive so a much better alternative.
