Yes, this is the final duality to collapse. It is the duality of duality vs non-duality. It is the duality of everything vs nothing. -

Thats where we differ and thats OK. For me (language breaks here because the small me is an idea) consciousness has become conscious that everything is imaginary. And everything is nothing. consciousness can shift to anything. As God i (again language is limited here) i am imagining and creating everything. Again a clarification - Consciousness not the ego - the ego has been seen through by God awakening to itself. God also becomes conscious that it is imagining the ego. -

@VeganAwake maybe im going beyond the topic but i think its important for this discussion....I'm saying becoming conscious that there is no self is not the whole picture. (From the POV of consciousness now, not the small self) Stopping there still leaves a duality between the illusory ego and the body - and for that matter everything else. As if the body is "real" and the "ego is not". Consciousness has not become conscious of the entire picture yet. It still has more to realize. Once consciousness does...it no longer needs to obsess over there not being an ego. Thats just the beginning (huge, but the beginning) It is complete liberation because there is nothing and nothing is everything. All separations have collapsed. -

@LfcCharlie4Indeed. And there is a very very important realization that consciousness can have via a non-dual mystical state. And this is the realization into the nature of reality or what it is as consciousness. Consciousness can see completely through the small self and that it doesn't exist but without this other realization the materialist paradigm hasn't been seen through. Awakening is partial. There is still the belief that there is a body or a human. All of that is being imagined by consciousness (God). You as the Self or God are imagining everything - EVERYTHING - without exception. Because the substance of everything is nothing. There are even further realizations that God has - such as Love and Oneness - and the why - why is God imagining everything? To experience / know itself of course. With all of these realizations (and they all require mysticism and the collapse of all duality) consciousness essentially comes full circle with itself and at that point it can experience itself as the idea of a human while also having non-dual awareness that allows it to be conscious of the imaginary human from the perspective of God. I think individuals that haven't had non-dual realizations of all of these things - while they openly proclaim there is no self / no ego - (they may have had that one) they are unconscious that they are using the self to proclaim that. They loop themselves without knowing it. Its like duality saying duality doesn't exist - and then when asked "if duality doesn't exist then what is it that is saying duality doesn't exist?" And they say "it is a body responding without a self"...but - that is still duality. The body and the self are both imaginary. To be aware of this (for me) is to embrace all. To embrace your paradoxical nature. If you zoom out all the way you realize the statement "duality does not exist" creates a duality between existence and non-existence and is an endless loop. -

Thoughts/imagination is what creates reality - but from the mind of God. You are but a finite mind within this infinite mind Of course the kicker is that you are also the Infinite Mind and that you are creating all of reality right now - you just haven't had an awakening yet that you as God are doing it once you do you will come back to little old you with your thoughts and memories again until your form passes away but you will know the Truth. -
@Unjigorjigor yes - until one awakens the statement You are God can be misleading. One must be careful not to take it as a belief. When one awakens that have had a mystical shift in consciousness from the part to the whole (from the finger to the hand). So they are conscious that they are being the finger and the whole hand simultaneously. (Non-dual awareness). But they are also conscious that from their current perspective they are the finger. And until one awakens all they are conscious of is the finger.

@DLH nicely said. But they are nothing before bursting into form. They exist as nothing. Nothing includes everything as raw potential Electromagnetic energy and all of that is form. It is imaginary. The kicker is everything is still nothing. -

@Derek White you're on the right track - you seem to be open minded and not clinging to any beliefs nor taking these teachings as a belief. Those are some of the biggest traps and obstacles in this work. Seems like you get it man. -

Non-dual wars are against forum guidelines and you guys are beating a dead horse already. This same topic has been going round for a while now so let's just let everyone have their own path. Its all relative here. -

@VeganAwake you do realize that by using your own logic you are using "spiritual ego" right now? "Awakening and Enlightenment is completely misunderstood on this thread?" You are trying to change or correct something that is already perfect ? -
Inliytened1 replied to Erixoon50's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@SerotoninluvThat's a great point. @Erixoon50 it's important to note that chasing the idea of a mystical experience can actually be counter productive to actual Being or mysticism itself. It has to happen on it's own, and over trying, over thinking, and "over seeking" can counterintuitively move you farther from Truth. Truth is hidden in plain sight and it is said to find Truth one must no longer seek. -

You won't come across it. Because you are in the realm of the relative - or form - or thought. When i speak of mysticism or the Absolute i can only point to it from my finite vantage point. Because to be it, i must cease to be. That is dying before you die - which is a mystical experience. (Again i am still pointing to itl No one can show that to you. Nor can language take you there. I'm merely trying to point you in the direction. Meditation is still the relative - it is thought. Meditation itself is not the Absolute in the Absolute sense. (It is a part but not the whole) But through meditation one can dissolve the self. It is merely a tool. The Absolute itself transcends meditation, as it does all that is finite. That is what that quote truly means. -
Inliytened1 replied to Erixoon50's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That is a misunderstanding of @Adyashanti if he said that. It means it is the ultimate Me experience - meaning me with a capital M, AKA the Absolute. It is the dissolution of the illusory small me. So yes you want to get rid of all the small illusory me stories - and transcending the illusion is the way. Mysticism is that way. It cannot be reached through logic or rationality. Your point about meditation i must also clarify. Meditation itself is within time, yes- but it is tool that can shift consciousness via mysticism to the timeless or the becoming of the present moment. It seems like you are not properly grasping these quotes. -
Inliytened1 replied to Justine's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The trip may have been showing you that you don't have consciousness in the Absolute sense - you ARE consciousness. And consciousness is pure void. The terror may have resulted from the ego not wanting to surrender to Truth. -
Inliytened1 replied to OmniYoga's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@OmniYoga all is consciousness - but form is impermanent as it never really was there in the first place. It is just the formless taking shape as form. The formless (pure consciousness) is eternal. It cannot be broken, killed, or escaped because it is already nothing. As for enlightenment, the idea of enlightenment is part of form. It is a concept in your mind ?? When all concept and thought dissolve only actuality remains. Actual enlightenment is pure consciousness/actuality itself. -
Inliytened1 replied to Forrest Adkins's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Jacobsrw agreed...just adding that pure being is a mystical state. Mystical states can be reached via meditation or pyschedelics, yoga etc. Or just spontaneously if one is that gifted. -

Awakening is a miracle. You haven't experienced it directly yet so you cannot conceive of what it means to awaken another part of yourself. It is not ego. -
Inliytened1 replied to Scholar's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This is hogwash, otherwise you wouldn't be listening to his videos every week and commenting on how great they were.. Agreed there. Desire comes from the heart. It is passion. It comes from love. Many awakened find their life purpose is to help awaken others. This, from the Absolute perspective, stems from Absolute Love. This is because in dividing itself, God ultimately wishes to reunite all of its parts in total unity. God has no one but itself to share itself with, and that is its ultimate gift to itself. -
