i wouldn't think his current mental or physical healfh would have anything to do with his philosophy or worldview. I hope gets back on his feet it sounds like he is going through a really tough time. Who knows maybe it will counter intuitively lead him to enlightenment.

The movie projector really is a great analogy so I'm not gonna recreate the wheel. But if you take a movie reel and see it as One - that's God in its purest form. This is everything at once as pure potential. So from that sense it knows itself all at once. But it doesn't know itself experientially. But in order to know itself experientially it needs to play through each slide in a linear fashion. This will go on forever, since it is Infinite. And the dance of Consciousness is the dividing of itself into the separate slides and then unifying back with the whole reel which goes on forever as well. -
I think it was accurate, having been in many relationships over the years. Us men are much more explicit then implicit. We want things spelled out to us and we are extremely literal. A lot of times i find myself saying to my wife "but you said such and such" and she says "well that's not what i meant" or something along those lines lol. So you have to get better at this part of your thinking in order to get better at understanding a woman's perspective. And thats the key - being able to jump between perspectives and going meta. Women on the other hand are much more intuitive. They read between the lines of what the guy is saying. They sense body language, the can sense the guys level of confidence and goodness etc. Not that they can't be wrong, hehe. Happens all the time. But the point is they go with what they feel intuitively more than from the words that they hear coming from the guy. Dont get me wrong - explicit still plays a role. If you come up to her and say something completely stupid it probably will backfire on you pretty quick.

@arlin. The point of the journey is to discover who you really are. Once the Absolute is discovered all will flow naturally. Absolute Love and Goodness will guide you. -
Its such a great question. God was tripping ballz when he made the ego..i.e. you were trippin ballz lol. But seriously... Its all survival my friend - and fear is survival Survival is selfishnes. Pleasure is survival. Depression left unchecked will kill you. If God put limits on the ego it would be selfish of him. And we'de probably all be dead. From God's POV it doesn't matter because its all Love and it is experiencing itself through you. @electroBeam that's very interesting thanks for explaining more. Dont get me wrong i also experienced a bout of depression as well especially when i discovered the self was an illusion. it wasn't all biscuits and gravy for me either ? -
Inliytened1 replied to electroBeam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@electroBeam okay then it seemed you may have answered your own question! I haven't heard of manic episodes happening like that but its certainly feasible. i have experienced the feeling of losing my mind when i became directly conscious of Oneness. But that was after a mystical state (and complete ego death) in which my consciousness levels were elevated. My awakening happened after 4-5 of these such states over a few month period. I have not had any backlash since because even when i meditate i don't hit mystical states anymore. At least not since. I don't really need to though. That's why something seemed off to me. -

Really as Leo said part of becoming more conscious is to Love and accept yourself the way you are and to see you are already perfect. It is worrying about what others think of you and how they perceive you. And that's all an illusion. And you will never be satisfied if you chase happiness externally by trying to change your physical appearance. Happiness is found within.

@tenta that kid doesn't even look smart enough to flip a coin let alone make a magic trick of it lol....they should have picked someone who knew how to flip a coin, yeah..but to say with certainty that it was cheating...nah...the guy says "even if it was rigged by accident" lol....how do you rig by accident...he goes back to past stuff and accuses without enough evidence...he even states that he is calling em guilty just based on what happened in 2016.

Inliytened1 replied to arlin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@arlin can't you see in the realm of the relative it is based on perspective as all there is is perspectives. So if you understand how reality works there should be no problem. You can take the perspective that from your finite POV you have free will, because you do - from that POV. It's actually pretty darn grand if you think about it from a meta perspective -

What you are describing is a form of Bipolar disorder (manic episodes). So perhaps your spiritual work is triggering it. Yeah i would talk to a therapist about it as you wanna make sure your mental health is in check before doing more spiritual work. -
You aren't gonna be able to help people who cling to their identity and self bias. Sure, Bobby and that dude Zen both seem to love to criticize Leo's awakening videos...but they probably never bothered listening to his profound metaphysical / epistemological episodes - and there are a lot of them. I just watched the one that came out last night on understanding understanding and it is a great one - right up there with his best stuff and extremely profound. Have they bothered to listen to any of his work? Probably not.

@Johnny5 i went back and reread it and yeah i see what you were saying now. Apologies.

Eh i do but It seemed like you were calling him a fool for calling Bobby a fool...didn't seem like there was a need for that post. Guess i missread it... add more context to your posts

It has happened all across history from the beginning of time...examples - French revolution...American revolution...Civil war...just study history. -

I hear ya man. Yeah an internet forum is never gonna compare to a spiritual school because there are so many trolls that show up spitting misinformation. Hence the purge....?? We hope to solidify this comminity into a solid learning place where one can study Truth and not be deterred by deluded folks. Or those that just don't have the full picture and can mislead.. But yeah - it ain't an easy task :)? -
Inliytened1 replied to Endangered-EGO's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You are right in that too much concept can get one lost in it and thus miss out on direct experience. But at the same time conceptual understanding can be helpful in leading to awakening. It did for me. So i would take caution in telling one to forego concept. While it is not actual it still can help point one that is doing the work to find Truth. -

Non-duality means One. There is only one thing here - God or Consciousness or Infinity. Non-duality includes duality within it. But a pure non-dual state of consciousness is the collapse of duality into non-duality. Infinity / God is in its purest form is formless. Absolute Infinity must have no form and be absolutely nothing. Because nothing is or contains everything. Is or contains is the same - so nothing is everything. And everything is nothing. In a non-dual state of consciousness, all duality or separation collapses into One. Absolute Infinity. And this has no form. So when you experience a non-dual state you as the observer and what is being observed collapse into One. Since your "physical body" or more accurately the "idea of your physical body" is still there, you are God Consciousness through finite form. But there is no sense of the ego as it is dead dead dead... To be completely formless is the expiring of the finite form into pure formless consciousness. Ego death and the death of the idea of your physical form. -

@Deezeetho. Let's not derail the thread. The OP was not about whether or not Trump would win - but whether he would refuse to leave office if he lost. @Jed Vassallo I wouldn't worry about that happening, for the reasons others stated above. We still have laws in this country. He thinks he is above the law now, yes. But that's because he is in office. Once he loses (if he loses) he is not in office anymore. -
