@Sandy6 the key to overcoming Pure OCD is consciousness. You're ability to go meta on an OCD thought - also known in OCD circles as a synthetic thought. As soon as an OCD thought arises you go meta on it and become directly aware that it is OCD. This tales the wind out of the OCD sails so to speak. Because the guilt associated with it and the anxiety has no meaning anymore. The thoughts are not you and are no longer identified with you. The fact that even you (the self or ego) is an illusion and all thoughts coming from the ego are as well is a topic for another day. But enlightenment will really help things. Right now we are concerened with OCD. So the more you go meta the more it realizes it can no longer fool ya. And it becomes milder and milder until there will be mostly times of remission. Most of your life will be remission with perhaps a few little relapses here and there. Anxiety is the trigger so minimize anxiety wherever possible. But your key is consciousness. The OCD sufferer is caught in the OCD web and doesn't realize it. If they did they would be on the other side of it.

@bennett oppel No i am talking about Absolute Infinity and you are discussing the infinity of numbers which is one aspect of Absolute Infinity.

Take this unlimited quality. It can have nothing outside of it which to limit it right? That means it has nothing outside of it to ground it or reference itself from. And so since it is everything it cancels itself out. Infinity diving itself is still Infinity. The parts withiin it are finite.

Which is equal to nothing and everything or the Unlimited.

That is just it. This is duality. But all dualities collapse in God mode. It cannot be grasped here. God or you are creating all of this - including the difference between duality and non-duality.

No...you can fall back into duality. Because of the state of consciousness. You will fall back into a lower state of consciousness in which separation appears real. That is a state of consciousness. That does not mean that there are much higher states of consciousness. But first one must transcend the materialist paradigm. I'm thinking you have. Then it becomes apparent that reality is states of consciousness. That doesn't mean it is not One. It just means that there are degrees of consciousness.

You can awaken to the Absolute but then you will fall back into dualify. Only with Mahasamadhi will you be God in its purest state (pure Infinity) forever. But that does not come from selfishness. That comes from pure selflessness.

None of us are awake.

There will be paradoxes and you have very diligently pointed one out. That said there are Absolutes which are objective. That's why they are Absolutes. And they are realized in a pure non-dual state or an Absolute state. These states of consciousness are once in a life time unless you are Leo. I have hit them in a series over a 2 month period. Now, i would need DMT to overwhelm the ego because it doesnt want to die again and ego death prior was via meditation

Haha no the foundation laid out in the teachings. Sounds like the dude has no foundation. He could become so much more conscious. But again - what is he willing to surrender? How much has he actually awoken?

I believe suffering does dissolve the ego because it is slowly killing you. My awakening came after decades of suffering from selfishness and a lack of consciousness - and then the suffering hit its summit from a breakup of 3 years in which i realized my own selfishness. The heartbreak became unbareable. Yet it was Love for myself not another. I just didn't realize that until awakening. Your EXACT scenario. Of course i meditated too. But yeah - it dissolves the ego slowly. It is said the Buddha took this path. I took this path. It is probably not the fastest route but it works. I awoke at 48 and Leo awoke much earlier....not sure how old the Buddha was.

Great post. When you awaken to total Oneness there can only be one God. It is not one of religion which believes in one God. It is just pure isness or Being or Infinity or Consciousness or Goodness or Love. And yes it is the collapse of both good and evil, masculine and feminine - it is the collapse of all duality in fact. But one must embrace those dualities before one can collapse them and become God. You can say it is each one of us realizing we are a God but that implies separation which is false. It is just You. Reality is Absolutely perspectival and thus God is Absolutely perspectival. If there were simultaneously two Gods then that would mean there was something outside of God and that would limit her. And then you would have to explain what is limiting those Gods. But you can become directly conscious that God is One and God is infinite.

Dude that is perfect. And the practices are no mind so once you are fully present there is no ego for anything to deceive You.

I have had the same thing. Its as if all of this has happened before - an inifnite number of times, only you can't quite put your finger on it or recall it...but perhaps it has happened.....hello infinity! In addition they are all you so why wouldn't they be familiar?

@James123 Its a trap. It makes you think all thought and emotion is ego. Thats one of the biggest traps i see here. And it is turned into its just "This". Not everything is ego. Remember Consciousness is Infinite. And Infinite Mind comes from a place of selfessness. Infinite Mind has infinite compassion. So emotions all boil down to Love. All emotion is Love. Fear is just the absence or rejection of Love. You have conflated Infinity with some dumb, emotionless, cold thing. You might as well be a materialist ?. Its a common mistake when taking Infinity on as a belief.
