  1. @commie my point is it doesnt specify it. We use the term mind all the time. But it does not mean we are saying that matter exists within mind and not vice versa. But i can see where you see it that way. Here's why i don't see it that way. Wikipedia states that it is the philosophical view that YOUR mind is all there is and other external minds do not exist as reality. It doesn't say that Mind is all that exists. That would be idealism. There is a subtle difference
  2. Its deeper. It means all others are projections of your thoughts or mind. The question here is whether it presumes you are a person whose consciousness exists in the brain - or not.
  3. @commie the philosophy of Solipism states that your mind is all there is. That's pretty much all it says unless you have found an advanced explanation? If so please share and share the source as well. So its open for interpretation. By "your mind" it is not debunking that the mind exists within the brain.
  4. Which means you are more in touch with Truth and probably spiritually gifted.
  5. @An young being The truth is the past and memories of the past are imaginary - just like the future. But then again you as an ego are imaginary as well. Can they be embraced? Sure. But for many awakened beings liberation is to be free from their past. Are memories imaginary? Yes. Do they cease to exist when you are not directly aware of them? YES. Your memories literally cease to exist or never existed unless you "bring them" into your direct awareness. Why? They were never actual to begin with. Because you never were a human! The Truth is you are God or the present moment! And you hold all things within your imagination It goes much deeper. Your own mother ceases to exist outside of direct awareness because she is imaginary.
  6. Haha i know what you mean. That's the point - it is a philosophy that does not go into a lot of depth. Its rather vague. But by ego i meant it does not describe that you are alone as an infinite mind but just that your mind....or brain for that matter...is all there is...that its just you. And since materialism is the default paradigm in current times....
  7. I know what you are saying but Solipism assumes materialism and that the ego is all there is. I would say that to describe awakening as you are imagining everything as God including all others, is a better way to say it.
  8. That's right. @WHO IS Death is imaginary. As is your whole human existence. The body, the entity behind the eyes, the room you are in, and the coffee table where you lay your feet. All is concept and imagination. When actuality is discovered (being) then imagination falls away and Truth is laid bare. Its all God - and when You stop dreaming this you will dream something else!
  9. Yeah to piggy back on this you don't "experience Solipsism" as it is a philosophical paradigm. Depersonalization or derealization is the detachment from a sense of self. Maybe he felt like he drifted between detachment and also a feeling that his mind - his egoic mind - was all that there was. But I'm not sure how you would experience both. They are two different things.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a legit awakening. He appears sincere.
  11. Having experienced this "disorder", i can say that Enlightenment feels exactly like depersonalization disorder the only difference is with enlightenment you feel the Love of God, omniscience as pure Awareness, and you become conscious of what you are. The depersonalized individual has no epiphanies as the Absolute because althiough they are detached from any sense of self - they are not identified with their true nature. (And this is Bliss/Love) I remember after awakening one of the first things i exclaimed was "holy shit this is depersonalization with an order of God realization!" And Shinzen Young refers to it as enlightenments evil twin.
  12. Do not view it as destroying everything you believed in, rather view it as it has enhanced everything. Reality is so much more magical now. It isn't made of dumb physical matter. As for the mundane - its not as mundane as you think. God has revealed itself to you but there is still more work to be done in this realm. There is still a state of being and a state of selflessness that one must reach here. It is precisely not wanting the spiritual realm that will put you closer to it. Because you see - there was never really two different realms. Its just the self that sees it that way.
  13. What if you were actually just pure Awareness imagining/dreaming time and space - imagining the year 1950 - along with all timetables both past and future? And there was only this eternal present moment and you were it? ?
  14. Correct but in becoming Pure Consciousness the duality of self and other collapses - meaning the self and all sense of self dissolves as you are Pure Being. Thats what izzing is. The self returns afterwards or comes back together afterwards - hence why ego backlash occurs. When back as the ego you are now conscious that it is imaginary and you are rather Awareness imagining it is a self. Thats what it means when they say it is to die before you die - or that there are no enlightened beings or enlightened selves - because Awareness awakens to itself.
  15. Zero has seen the Ox. It's coming back to the mundane that he struggles with.
  16. @Frenk when you say is realizing God worth all the suffering - notice the word "worth"..as if you can put a value on God. All values exist within God That should answer your question.
  17. Yet this is Truth. Maybe they used another name.
  18. Haha didnt mean for it but it is kinda funny
