Meditation and contemplation / self inquiry can work. First one must drop the self or realize the self is imaginary. Don't get ahead of yourself. There a lot of degrees and awakenings to this. It is too much to become conscious of everything all at once. What you are describing is some of the most advanced aspects that come much much later. Also establish a ground by building a conceptual framework. Listen to Leo's metaphysical and epistemological videos. This is serious business so be aware of what you are getting into. Then after - if you are still not making headway and are getting into years then you can leverage psychedelics in a responsible way. And be careful not to turn this into an egoic desire. It has to be an authentic desire for Truth for Truths sake. Stay curious. -

Sadly - This is the truth. I was going to post it but no need now. I think these Truths were still at a belief level for him. And this work should never be taken as belief even if he could intuit it.. If not he wouldn't have done what he did. -

`the I does not mean the ego I in this statement, not a human. Keep that in mind. Also it is just a pointer. Language can only point to the Absolute. As the Absolute there is no one to say they are God to someone else. they just ARE. or more accurately God just IS. -

yep its all one ultimately were all of your awakening(s) without psychedelics? -

Yes our awakenings sound similar and the key here and maybe I didn't point this out earlier but there is a shift in identity. As it is realized there is no self there is a shift in consciousness to identifying with Consciousness itself. You become aware that you are awareness itself. Which is God. Now the realization that as Consciousness I was completely Infinite came later. But in this awakening there was Divinity/Bliss it was Pure Consciousness. So for me Infinity was a different awakening as was Nothingness. The body can't contain Infinity so that awakening was something else. Abiding in non-dual awareness later to me is something that continues to deepen over time but yes there is the ability to shift Consciousness now to a meta level although I do not always abide in this 24/7. But this isn't the same as abiding in an Infinite state of Consciousness have to agree with Leo there. It does not take away from someone being awake. It could be here we are also just getting caught up in language. But as I am typing this to you I am imagining you are a real being or ie imagining you into existence as imagination is reality - and therefore my Consciousness is shifted into dual gear. About that- the final awakening for me here was what i call Oneness (the collapse of self/other) - it came about a month after all the rest. This too was a mystical expanded state of consciousness in which I became directly conscious that I was completely alone as God and all of this was being held within my Consciousness not out there somewhere but within my Mind as God. All beings were me. All creatures were me, etc. This was probably the single most ultimate mindfuck and the most difficult to accept. But you cannot run from it. You cannot hide from it. All other are no different than the the thought of a unicorn you may have. And it is laid bare before your eyes because your mind has expanded so much. This...this one especially is an extremely profound awakening you can have. -

Yeah for sure I totally agree there. That is a good distinction to point out There can be many glimpses/mystical experiences prior to a full awakening/Realization. -
Inliytened1 replied to Wilhelm44's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes but first you have to realize that you are God. -
Inliytened1 replied to Wilhelm44's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Wilhelm44 I think he was talking about neo-advaita in which awakening is the realization of no self and that's it. Duality was the self and it is an illusion. While all that is true that's where it ends for them. There is no God realization. Because there is no one to realize God. It's just - there is no self. But if you get stuck in thinking that the realization of no self is all there is you can never reach the highest realizations and that's where you will be. I also think in many cases that these realizations of no self are just conceptual and not actual which is not true spirituality. True spirituality is about Actuality. It is mystical, but this can be dismissed too because there is no one to experience anything -

Ok I would start doing self inquiry. Inquire as to what you think you are and then start crossing those things off the list as you rule them out. Something can click (the realization of no self) its very powerful. Continue doing the do nothing meditation as well. Mix in some concentration meditation. Just stare at an object for a while and see if it starts to shift back in forth. -
Inliytened1 replied to King Merk's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@King Merk do you have a meditation practice currently? And have you done self inquiry? -
Inliytened1 replied to Raze's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
If it's an actual no self awakening you will be God. Period. Because that is what remains. You were always God but now you are in an elevated state of Consciousness. Now the question is whether you have the realization that that is what you are. For me both realizations happened with the same awakening. The realization that the self was an illusion was a shifting to identifying with Consciousness itself. But this is probably not common. it could be the self dissolves with the realization that it was an illusion, they experience God/Pure Consciousness, but aren't conscious yet that they are God. That's fine. But if you are having these types of awakenings sober typically as was with me you will have a series of them within a short time span - like a couple of weeks or months period where you will have more realizations. -

this is extremely sad to hear..he was a beloved member of this community. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family -

No I think Frank is over complicating things frankly (no pun intended) . If you mix in so much concept and stages you are just gonna make awakening more complex. -
Inliytened1 replied to Raze's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Notice your statement. I believe. It's relative. I am merely pointing out relativity, which permeates through all of reality. -
Inliytened1 replied to Raze's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This is a projection in your mind of how an enlightened being should be. Nothing more. -
Inliytened1 replied to Raze's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No it's the same thing! When you become conscious of No self you become conscious of Self. There is an integration process and a deepening of this understanding afterwards but it is what it is. -

In the end there are no few. That's the cost. -
Inliytened1 replied to Raze's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
So what you are saying is God putting itself to sleep and being unaware that it is God is the most selfless act and God should stay asleep? Nonsense. In order for you to even make such a statement one needs to first realize they are God.. -
Inliytened1 replied to Raze's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I think your wrong there or Leo is not enlightened. His life was given away for Truth so that is a perfect example. Me, I stumbled on it. -
Inliytened1 replied to Raze's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Scholar Your right that too much concept can be a negative. I see one who chases enlightenment as the ego seizing awakening for Itself which paradoxically will keep someone from actually ever reaching awakening. It is almost best if it's stumbled apon - because once it's turned into a goal forget it. Unless you have completely given up your life for Truth which in itself is a selfless act. -
