No one else can answer this for you. Awakening is literally taking back your authority- so how would you awaken as God if you are still putting your authority into a guru? Ultimately the choice is yours. In fact there need not be a choice. Don't get too caught up in the free will debate or forcing spirituality...just do what makes you happy. If that includes spirituality fine - if not fine too.

Well its interesting...your not wrong in the sense that imagination literally is reality. Which is precisely what a dream is. Inside the dream you cannot tell the difference between real and imaginary because there is nothing to contrast it with. However if your state of consciousness changed in which you stepped outside that entire reality, only then would it be seen as imaginary. And then you might wonder - well can you then step to another level of consciousness and step outside of that? And the answer there is no because that is Infinity. You can perhaps reach infinitely higher infinite states but at this point you are God Consciousness or Absolute Consciousness. This is what all the sages discuss- Absolute Divinity- Absolute Love - Divine Bliss- Nirvana - Death, Oneness, Truth, etc... That is not imagination - that is the thing (actually nothing) that imagines!. Now note here I am just pointing to it. The Tao is not the Tao, or something like that. Now, Maybe I'm full of shit and imagining ALL Of THAT!! but hey maybe I'm not? So of course Mario inside the dream can be told by someone that hey this is all a video game, and if he is open enough he can say yeah sure - so if it is but I am imagining its real then what's the difference? It IS real isn't it? And of course he would be right

The big picture is what we are concerned with here - what is Absolute. If this is a dream and you have not yet awoken from the dream then it is all you know. Like Mario inside the video game - that's all he is conscious of so that IS reality for him. Until one day if he actually managed to break out of the game and see that there was another layer or in this case state of consciousness. That's all this is.

@RMQualtrough interesting, that must have been some experience ? pretty mind blowing how reality can lose itself in its own Mind.

@Leo Gura @WaveInTheOcean had one of those mindfuck moments this morning after waking up from a dream that felt so real (because it was, until I woke up) without anything to contrast it with, it became reality. Ive had it before but it still so profound.. The mindfuck was that this right here is the exact same thing - until you awaken. It hit me so hard.... Mindfucked again haha.

Exactly! It's wonderful to realize it's just a game - you can stop suffering (taking things so damn seriously!) You also start becoming much more aware of when you are starting to imagine or fantasize about stuff which can often bring you suffering. You get better and better at catching your own self deceptions and grounding yourself in the present moment.

What if you are imagining that?

We have the ability to reason and justify our survival where animals simply survive. We imagine reasons for our survival. We also develop deep attachments as a result of that reasoning- which makes it all the more challenging.

I've seen it like 3-4 times in recent posts. It's not like I said something the first time you did it...but when it becomes a trend it starts to make one think maybe there is something this person is carrying within them....just a POV of course

@WaveInTheOceanNewsflash - you are God imagining Leo. Let go of the desire to call out Leo. Trying to change him is a figment of your imagination as God. If you want to go ahead but my guess it probably only causes you suffering cuz you are the only thing in existence.

This is the deception. The ego wants to understand things logically but that is merely a ploy of the ego to control reality and prevent you as God from ever becoming reality itself because this will be the demise of the ego mind. Yes do not take it as a belief but no don't over think things. Thought will lead you in an endless loop because Truth is prior to thought. The practices have been laid out for you. Self inquiry combined with other forms of meditation, as well as psychedelics.

You as God become God - full stop. It is usually a series of glimpses followed by full on awakenings...Becoming conscious that you are God is the death of the idea or illusion that you are a human. That was just an idea and you as the ego are an idea being imagined by you - God or Infinity. So what dies or falls away is the idea that you were this character you currently believe you are. The Absolute cannot die. Now you will remain in human form until all attachments to this world are truly dropped. So the Awakened One is one who has awakened from the dream and has fallen back asleep but is now lucid. Yet they are still attached to this dream.

The difference is simply the difference itself. What is actual vs what is not actual? Well to him I would say look at your hand. That's actual. Look at it long enough and the "you" looking at a "hand" can collapse leaving only actuality. Perhaps there was always just Actuality and all differences were constructed by the mind? And maybe one can get an Absolute answer to this inquiry? And If all differences collapse into One and this is Truth then how could others have been "actually" thinking?

It's Infinity but Infinity is Infinity and does not require a how or a why. In fact Infinity creates the how or the why. It's pure magic. That's the beauty of it. That's Absolute Love. It will absolutely melt you. But it's something you just have to become (i.e. when consciousness becomes conscious of itself it becomes itself..the I AM.....:)

What if how and why are also imagined by the so called "perceiver" What if perception was also an illusion and that the perceiver (subject) and the object (perceived) was an illusion and could be collapsed? What would it Be if all separation collapsed and was seen to have never actually occurred. And what was revealed was Truth or pure actuality itself? And what if Actuality itself could not be described but can only BE because describing it requires the duality of subject and object?

Sounds like you have the view that nothing matters, but never really had direct consciousness of Truth. That's perfectly fine, as I said to have direct consciousness of Truth doesn't make one special. It just IS.
