this is what I call the Oneness awakening. I had this awakening via meditation and it lasted more than a day. It is a shift in consciousness - a non-dual state or elevated state of consciousness in which you are Being. As Being - duality falls away so there is no sense of separation or a you vs other. It is One. Other people do not seem like you - they are you - literally and actually. It is a recontexualization of reality and it can feel like you are losing your mind. It is realized there is nothing outside or separate from you. It is basically like waking up from a dream and realizing that you are the Dreamer. Yet you are still in the dream..just lucid...A lot of people when learning about non-duality think Oneness is so neat and cool...but when you actually become One it is quite the shock. You realize in order to interact with yourself you need to trick yourself into a dual state of consciousness in which you are not conscious that you are everything. You have to be in a finite state of consciousness. Well here you are in an infinite state of consciousness so the dream appears silly. Yet you are still attached to the dream and you don't want to exit the dream. It's this attachment that God has to being finite that feels like it's being ripped apart when in these states of consciousness - and it can be very maddening. You eventually find yourself back in a finite state of consciousness where you can cling once again to separation this is what you and I are doing right now...when in actuality there is no difference between you and I at all...there is One Consciousness. But we pretend there is a difference - bringing about this dream "we" call reality. -

Part of going the full distance may actually be realizing the hard way through experience that you cannot "give" someone else Absolute Truth. They must discover it themselves. When it first happens it is OK and even normal to have a burning desire to want to share it with everyone and "awaken" the world. This is the initial stage after enlightenment...But it is quickly realized that this is a fools errand. And as others have said on this thread - other beings are figments of your own consciousness at the highest level anyway so there is no "need" to do anything. Most people are not even ready for spirituality, let alone awakening....you can gently nudge them along but to do anything further will backfire in your face. When Galileo tried to tell the Catholic Church that the Earth revolved around the sun he was imprisoned. He was right- but society at large was not ready. -

For itself. Just like red is red. Would you be asking about gravity if it didn't exist? Infinity is itself. There is nothing outside of it. If u get this at the level of Being it will be awakening -

I think what happens with you is perfectly normal. The ego does not want to die and it will do everything in its power to stay alive. It will fight tooth and nail against death. Stop trying to fight that and simply understand that the purpose of the ego is to exist. But realize it is imaginary. Understanding is key. Now relax and let the chips fall where they may. There will come a time one day, be it via meditation, self inquiry, or psychedelics, where ego death will be seamless. You will be thrust into Infinity as if instantaneously. And you will be there.. in God Consciousness. Ego death will not even have seemed to occur because - in fact it didn't- it is imaginary. So there will be no bad trip or struggling against death. Continue on, it sounds like you are on the right path. Simply roll with what is. -
I think it stems ultimately from uncertainty. Mine did. Meds may help short term....you can continue your spiritual work and personal development and then down the line you will be able to get off them once they are longer needed. Speaking of spiritual work have you looked into psychedelics for healing purposes?

How is anything possible at all? Have you ever wondered that? -

Exactly ? -

You don't do that because it is realized that you were a concept or an idea in the first place. Then you become God. But see the ego will twist this around for its own survival purposes and thus in that way it uses spirituality to survive which is the opposite of true spirituality. "I want to experience ego death..." ask yourself who the I is and note possible deception.... Nevertheless perhaps pick up a good self inquiry practice and meditation practice and maybe you will stumble on Truth and blindside your own ego by discovering it...yet It's a slippery slope because the more the ego knows the more it's going to set traps for you to prevent you from ever discovering Truth. This is why it is so rare! Good luck on the path friend. -

The greatest deceiver is your own mind. -

Remember that God transcends logic.. (or is prior to it). Relative possible and impossible are imagined by God. The greatest gift God can give itself is to realize it's own Infinity. And since you are God - it's within your grasp -

It's one of those awakenings as @Breakingthewall said above where the state of consciousness elevates to where you are directly conscious that all there is is you and that all of reality is a projection of your own mind (which is none other than the mind of God) yet there is still some sense of self at some level or capacity. It's definitely a mystical state of consciousness however - meaning beyond human levels. It's a weird one to describe (and can be quite maddening) We also must remember that the ego is still God just God in the egoic state of consciousness in which it takes on finite form. -
Inliytened1 replied to Godishere's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes..i recall that realization for me distinctly because it was probably just as shocking for me if not more. -
Inliytened1 replied to Godishere's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The same experience can happen with meditation or a spontaneous awakening. We say this all the time here but the you does not awaken. The you is seen to be illusory and falls away leaving Infinity or total Oneness. The realization that you are everything. This can be shocking to the ego and thus it will want no part of awakening because it cannot be..., it literally cannot function when the duality of self vs other collapses- which is why you felt like you were losing your mind. We tell you guys all the time that spirituality is serious business and to be aware of what you are getting into. I'm not going to sit here and blow smoke up your ass and tell you it's all rainbows and butterflies. But this will pass in time and you will also have beautiful, amazing awakenings of Divine Bliss and Love. This too shall pass. -

Waking up as God means taking back your authority as God. This is a lot of responsibility. To know directly that you are creating all of reality also allows you to then go back in play in that creation and create your own meaning. You are the source of meaning. See how this works? But again, with that requires taking back your authority as God. It seems to me you aren't ready for this yet or you wouldn't be making this thread. So for now don't worry about enlightenment..I think right now your focus should be ego development no? When you are ready for spirituality you will know. -

You are God. If you become absolutely selfless which is your purest form, you will not be able to endure as a distinction which is what you are now. You are partial and finite now but you can become total. This can happen at any age because age is imaginary and you are God dreaming you are a biological self. So the question remains - how bad do you want to live? -
Inliytened1 replied to King Merk's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No no no...you manifested Leo and all others in order to wake yourself up as God. You are God. That's a powerful epiphany. @King Merk welcome home. Welcome to Infinity. -
They are a trigger just like meditation

@Thought Art solid post. Tbey are a tool. If it was a magic pill everyone on this forum would be enlightened by now. There are no magic pills in this work. When God is ready to awaken, God awakens. And it is as simple as that. Ive always said why not leverage all the tools in the toolshed but also do not turn awakening into an egoic goal. Selfishness does not awaken.. Pursue Truth for Truth itself. And be curious.

As @Godishere said its Infinity. It's Nothing. But it's a Nothing that exists. But also realize its all One. Form is formlessness. This is Nothing. This is Infinity. -

That's what I have found for myself anyway. I see your point better now. Yeah reality is appearance without substance. The question of if a tree falls in the forest with no one around to be conscious of it does it actually make a sound had always troubled me as a kid...i could intuit even at a young age that it didn't make sense that there could be an objective reality independent of consciousness - or stuff behind the scenes. Then many years later when I stumbled on spirituality it all started coming together. -
Inliytened1 replied to Tyler Durden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It is..lol..Well Being isn't constructed it is the structure itself but it is constructing the content you could say. Being is God. God is constructing all of physical reality via imagination. Hence the dream or illusion! -
Inliytened1 replied to Tyler Durden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Tyler Durden its Being. But you can't capture Being via any type of logic because it's prior to rationality. That's why with your question yesterday you wondered why it seems like the present moment is always eluding us. It seems like it's there and gone over and over for eternity. Actually all there is is Being and it's eternal. Being and Consciousness are the same thing. You don't know Being you just become directly conscious of it by being it. Which you could say is a classical satori or enlightenment
