  1. According to @Leo Gura in the LPC following one's passion isn't just easy and effortless all the time. Sometimes it isn't fun: drudgery. How do you differenciate between 'normal' drudgery and drudgery that comes along from not following one's purpose?
  2. @Leo Gura I don't exactly know why but in this particular case I can't have any compassion for the police officer, I only have bad feelings when watching him in that video. Are you able to feel empathy/compassion for him? Do you judge him? What are you feeling watching that video? Just curious about your POV on this.
  3. At the moment I want to study epistemology so I can differenciate between what's right and wrong. But when I started reading, it came to me that I must take one step further back and first learn how to think - so I can know which books on epistemology are right and which are wrong. Can you recommend me books on how to use your mind properly? Along the lines of being aware of biases, thinking critically etc.. Thanks to everyone helping me!
  4. please help me ( @Leo Gura )
  5. @Serotoninluv Uhh nice, I will have to check this one out. Thanks man!
  6. @Consept Although I still think that some theory on this would be good - helpful advice and thanks for the videos man!
  7. @Pilgrimage of Self Thank you very much, I will check it out!
  8. I‘m currently searching for my LP. I got some ideas and when I follow them now I want to know if I‘m on the right track? So what does it feel like?
  9. @electroBeam Wow very nice description! Thanks man!
  10. @Sahil Pandit Alright! But there is drudgery, like @Leo Gura talks about in his course. So it's not just fun 24/7, right? But I don't know how to differenciate this when it's not fun: is it drudgery or is it not my life purpose?
  11. @Raptorsin7 Can you give me a concrete example? What was consistent?
  12. @Rasheed @SirVladimir Nice, clear now. Thanks guy!
  13. @chisel Everyone has those impulses and aspects in oneself. Everyone. Those aren't your real values, this is just the lower self. Find your authentic values. Find your higher self. Don't have yourself man! Everyone has a shadow!
  14. How would you define perspective? Got it too but I can't grasp it.
  15. @Raptorsin7 Thank you very much man! It's counter-intuitive I think, when you relax your mind, answers come up naturally. I tend to think too much. I have the assumption that the more (mental) effort I put in the more I will move forward. Great to hear what you said!
  16. Great idea for a post! What was a game changer besides the LPC? or what especially in the course made you have the most progress?
  17. I wondered what people on this forum thought of them so if you did, please let me know your thoughts.
  18. I'm curious about this. Asked myself about Sam Harris, too. Would say its legit or dismiss it? They are very good thinkers.
  19. Very well done my friend, respect!
  20. I am curious about everything: history, politics, psychology, philosophy, spirituality, sociology... It is my top strength (from the LPC). This causes a lot of confusion and stress about choosing a major in university and finding my Life Purpose. When I think I found the thing I‘m most interested in (philosophy), I question it because my interest is caught by other things. I just want to have a clear vision, a clear goal. Right now I feel scattered, lost in the sea of possiblity. Is this just me getting excited from new information? Is it me dabbling? Or can I embrace this strength? What would be jobs around curiosity? How can I avoid becoming a jack of all traits, master of none?
  21. @Junin nice much luck my friend! love your life purpose
  22. I have to decide for a major in university (in germany). I love the actualized.org topics. My primary interests: What is Existence? How to live (the good) life? Big Picture Understanding. Does Philosophy or Psychology (or another major?) cover these interests better? I tend towards one, but maybe there are students here. Thank you!
  23. @Junin what would be your alternative to studying philosophy at university?
  24. @randomguy123 Yeah, I tried to think of these questions but I don‘t know yet. Psychology is also more valuable for the job market but I‘ll follow my passion. I have faith that that passion will lead me to the right place and will make me valuable on the market.
