@Nahm The feeling of orgasm is somewhat similar to some rushes of energy I've been getting. But it's quite minor and ehem... localized. I don't know how i compare on the orgasm intensity scale though. Other people's experiences may vary. I've heard of tantric sex and all that. -

Yes. I understand. If I do this then the rest of the phenomena i mentioned will follow. They are a byproduct of surrender. What I mean is, a person's body will literally get corrupted, fall apart and dissolve away, and a featureless being of pure white light begins to stare at me. It has no features but the outline is the same as that of a human. It occupies the same space as the body that just disappeared. This is the only thing i've ever experienced in my life that I would call a "soul". There is no imagination in the mind eye involved as far as my intentions go. -

@Dumb Enlightened Does your experience come with substantial physical symptoms - mostly energetic movements in your body? For me that's a good sign of discerning whether what you experience is just in the mind or in your physical being as well. Do you experience rushes of energy? Opening in your stomach or heart or forehead? Do you experience fleeting ecstasy? Sensation of electric fire burning the skin? Do you experience anything happening with your spine? When you say it has not changed "me" what is this me referring to? Is it unchanging stillness at the core of your being or something else? -

@Highest How to know that fear comes from ego? What can prove that to me at that moment? -
FoxFoxFox replied to winterknight's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@winterknight Well like I said. At the time there is not enough presence as an ego to do the inquiry. I can do that after the fact. I can remember that even while I was afraid, there was great stillness withing me. But at the time of fear, the vibrations of the emotion are too strong to notice the stillness. I meant it literally. As if the quality of sight changes to reveal something else entirely. A human being's face breaks down to reveal a body of light. That is not scary thought. Some other phenomena is. Like unexplainable shapes and figures. It's all coupled with losing the control of the body. The head turns by itself to look around, that sort of thing. So not with the mind's eye as if when you imagine stuff with eyes closed. -

@cetus56 Awesome. Subjective inner experience is really difficult to compare when it comes to post-rational experiences, so I was wondering if we could compare physical symptoms. Recently (and i mean as early as yesterday) i've had some interesting experience of my own. It was as if my heart opened to allow a flow of energy through. I was looking at the face of a human being and it began to break down. It really just melted away. And then behind it I saw the shape of an androgynous being made white light. It was very brief but I'm planning to do some serious meditation tonight. Today I feel very different. It's like an entire new type of being has opened to me. I feel very spiritual. Spiritual concepts that only existed in the mind yesterday, feel very palpable today. I also notice i've suddenly become very proficient at conveying spiritual concepts to others. -

@Highest I know all about that notion. "All fear is illusion. Abandon all fear to God." It's easy to say from a distance. I don't actually think that notion is correct. All fear is not illusion. Whatever you experience is reality at the moment you experience it. With luck, I will tranced fear, but I don't think it'll go away if you don't merge with it... show it proper respect... let it take over you and work itself out. Then you will enter a reality where fear is an illusion. Which one of those perspectives real? Both probably. I need practical advice with fear management. -

@cetus56 Sweet. Did you experience any physical sensations in the third-eye area? Pulsation, ticking sounds, expansion etc? -

@cetus56 Thanks i'll check it out. I was actually listening to some random heart chakra music myself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1Ng7FgDsNQ -

@Dumb Enlightened Mmm not without knowing what specific topic you are interested in. Actually if i were to get a good picture of how your inner experience of life is, i could probably introduce you to very good material. You just have to paint a clear picture what you understand from life. It requires a lot of honesty. -
FoxFoxFox replied to Tony 845's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Dumb Enlightened You keep expanding and become aware of subtler and subtler dimensions of consciousness, from what I understand. But i mean the spiritual dimension itself is so fantastic. -

@zambize Hey a Persian artist. I actually understand Farsi. The title "Bi Zamani" means timeless. -

I have some new insight into this matter. You don't have to take my word for law or anything but this has been my new experience with life. Life is all about intention. The universe will immediately respond to your intentions. It's just that you have to trust the universe that it will fulfill your desires. Any doubt you might have when you desire something, is really a fragment of you that desires the opposite. So unify your being and intent things to happen. -

@zambize Well i wouldn't say it in public if i didn't insult in them in public. Btw i didn't call them any rude names or anything. Just questioned their insight in a not-so-polite way (in fact i was doing that unconsciously quite a bit). But it was Serotoninluv. -
FoxFoxFox replied to Tony 845's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@zambize Well I learned a great lesson about perspective when my own changed so drastically in a matter of a few minutes. I cannot stress the importance of this realization, that consciousness operates on infinite different levels in all of us, and that every single one of them is divine and real. -

As someone who made fun of a moderator a few days ago, i feel silly that i say this today (I was an idiot then and i apologized to them) but, if everyone just stopped defending their perspective, and instead acknowledge that there is in fact such a thing as a perspective, and that every perspective is an enlightened one, then we could all be friends again: -

@legendary The 12 dimension model itself has no foundation in scripture. Like i said it's a crude way of representing the idea and its relatively modern. However, mentions of specific dimensions themselves are more common (for example the Akashic records is supposedly a 6 or 7 dimensional phenomena). There are few points that can nicely demonstrate the issue at hand: One: The 12 dimension model itself only exists in the 4th dimension. Models and other logical phenomena belong to this dimension. Properties of the 4th dimension are point awareness, duality, three dimensional environments, and perception of time, to name a few. Two: There isn't much need for proof of the first 4 dimensions. Science and philosophy have largely explored them and continue to do so. As for the fourth dimension itself, it is simply a label for the typical experience of the average human being. Three: Language breaks down once you enter the 5th dimension (spirit). It is because human language is dual, while experience at the 5th dimension and above is no longer dual. As such, the explanation for higher dimensions are rare, and almost always given in form of metaphors and analogies. For example, the Gita is written by an 11th or 12th dimensional being BUT in 4th dimensional language for lower consciousness people to understand. Four: The chakra system is the hallmark of the 5th dimension. Any yogi worth their salt will attest to their reality. But that doesn't mean the chakra model ITSELF is a 5th dimensional phenomena. No, the chakra model is the 4th dimensional representation of a 5th dimensional phenomena. Five: a good tantric lineage that is firmly established the 5th dimension is Kashmir Sivaism. I refer you for example, to Spandas Karikas. It's a antarctic text dedicated to working with pranashakti. Six: Theosophy is the lineage which is most directly involved with this stuff. However a word of advice: There is no rhyme or reason when it comes to the internet and spirituality. Ultimately YOU are going to be your own compass and guide. As for me, I attest to the existence of at least the first 5 dimensions of consciousness. How to understand dimensions: To understand dimensions we need to hold three assumptions: 1. Consciousness is everything. This is synonymous with biblical sayings such as "I am that I am". 2. Consciousness vibrating at different intensities becomes different realities. 3. Consciousness can flow and can crystallize. Dimensions then are realities, or subjective experiences of the Self, qualitatively differentiated from a 4th dimensional perspective, according to their frequencies of vibration. What this means in simple terms is that each perspective is reality. If for example, we take a person who lives in the 4th dimension, and a 5 dimensional being, while their inner experiences might sometimes contradict each other, are nevertheless both experiencing reality. A 4th dimensional person will have a materialistic view of life, while a 5th dimensional being (when forced to) will say that their nature is spirit. Both are correct! It's a matter of mutually real perspectives. -

@Joseph Maynor Actually, just for the sake of accuracy, let's phrase it like this: Ego-mind transcendence is synonymous with the heart opening. :) -
FoxFoxFox replied to Tony 845's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Joseph Maynor A perspective change is a good analogy. But hey, for me, it only began to become actual once I let my heart open. All Self-inquiry did was to dissolve identity a bit. I'd say its more dangerous than practical. The experience of the heart opening is very physical and only occurs when your surrender. -
FoxFoxFox replied to Tony 845's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Joseph Maynor This is all mind game. Self-inquiry is 4th dimensional consciousness attempting to confine itself by logic. Let me show you a picture: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flammarion.jpg You see that rainbow? It represents the moment of transition from 4th to 5th dimension. Whatever Eckhart is saying in that video, or what Ramana says with self-inquiry is applicable before that point. It is true that enlightenment is in the now, and that you don't add enlightenment. It's always there. But neither Ramana, or Eckhart talk about what comes next afterwards. What happens as your experience in the heart deepens? Language breaks down here. Whatever can be said, is a mere translation of experience into objective language which is never accurate. But that doesn't mean things don't happen within enlightenment. So I say this again. It's the best of my ability: Enlightenment is the beginning of the process of God realization. -

By your logic, isn't what he is saying not just another pov? -
FoxFoxFox replied to Tony 845's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Joseph Maynor Yes I've also read statements like that in books (the bit with the menu and stuff). Let's see if our points of view actually disagree. I say that enlightenment is the beginning of God-realization. You are saying (perhaps jokingly, perhaps not) that enlightenment is "smell of freshly-baked cinnamon buns". In the latter case, is the smell separate from God? Isn't realizing this, God-realization? You see what i've wrote in the signature area: "Relativity is implied. Shut up about it." The issue is not so much that points of view are incompatible by their nature, but rather that we are unable to see compatibility. -
FoxFoxFox replied to Tony 845's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Joseph Maynor You get to be your own point of view, always. It's a matter of perspective. The only objectivity in it is that you can find other people who agree with me, as i'm sure you can find people who agree with you. Experience is subjective, in the end.
