You can bootstrap it. It's becoming a trend actually. Basically, design it so that customers are paying for it from the start, and it makes money before it starts to require a lot of money. Lack of time, however, is usually lack of priorities. In my direct experience I see from me and my friend who are both starting our own thing, you have to work on it every day at least a bit. Then block out a big chunk of time every week. If you can't do that, say no to other things until you can.

Well, do you have any new ideas to introduce yet? Otherwise, more reading and contemplating to do. Also, psychedelics. Without transcendent experience you'll be another one of those philosophers who are just conceptualising what they don't know. All those Greek classical thinkers were a member of the Eulysian Mysteries for a reason. Psychedelics could also kickstart your sense of what is important to start with.

So what I would do is very different from what the average job-401k person would do, but here it goes: I wouldn't waste much mental energy on investing. I'd invest it in myself instead. I'd think of the coolest business that I've always wanted to start, and needed some runway for. I'd just be delighted with the opportunity to work full-time on a project. Now having the money to feed myself and invest in that business for 2-3 years until it started to make money. You see, hundreds of thousands invested still don't get you financial independence. The returns are not enough to live comfortably. However if you have made some millions, that's a different story. So instead of spreading it all out on the stock market, hoping to earn a couple thousand a year from that, and then basically being in the same position as before, I'd just eat it up while building something that can make me ten times as much. Then, after I invest those millions, can I call myself financially independent.

I was in the same spot about a year ago. I have literally thousands of cool ideas in my OneNote. I realised that working on someone else's ideas was never going to be fulfilling long-term. Since then I have actually been able to choose something (with some detours here and there), that I've been working towards now. Seems to be going well, but very early stages and still so much to do... I'd be happy to spar, you can message me.

NO. That's a big fat lie. Not if you're Jesse Itzler, at least His mindset is: "I've got no time for experience". So he just goes into ventures that he knows nothing about, figures it all out as he goes, then exits them successfully. Rapping, coconut water, private jets... this guy conquers it all, without "prior working experience". I'm a big fan, if you can't tell ;p You can watch his interview with Impact Theory, or JRE, they're both good. Working in the field can actually be counterproductive, because it indoctrinates you into the same mindsets and ways of doing things that are common there. And the more you absorb of that, the less you are able to think differently and come up with something to truly innovate and disrupt the market. There's an effect that has been studied where people coming into a field without experience usually are more successful as businesspeople. It's described in the book "Outsiders", which I still want to read.

Let's answer this with a poem by Charles Bukowski: if it doesn't come bursting out of you in spite of everything, don't do it. unless it comes unasked out of your heart and your mind and your mouth and your gut, don't do it. if you have to sit for hours staring at your computer screen beatbox or hunched over your typewriter beatbox searching for words beats, don't do it. if you're doing it for money or fame, don't do it. if you're doing it because you want women in your bed, don't do it. if you have to sit there and rewritebeatbox it again and again, don't do it. if it's hard work just thinking about doing it, don't do it. if you're trying to write beatbox like somebody else, forget about it. if you have to wait for it to roar out of you, then wait patiently. if it never does roar out of you, do something else. if you first have to read beatbox it to your wife or your girlfriend or your boyfriend or your parents or to anybody at all, you're not ready. don't be like so many writers beatboxers, don't be like so many thousands of people who call themselves writers beatboxers, don't be dull and boring and pretentious, don't be consumed with self- love. the libraries of the world have yawned themselves to sleep over your kind. don't add to that. don't do it. unless it comes out of your soul like a rocket, unless being still would drive you to madness or suicide or murder, don't do it. unless the sun inside you is burning your gut, don't do it. when it is truly time, and if you have been chosen, it will do it by itself and it will keep on doing it until you die or it dies in you. there is no other way. and there never was.

Dig deep. Go on a vision quest by yourself and fast for 3 days. Do more of what inspires you. Do a mescaline ceremony, or ayahuasca. A meditation retreat. Finish the life purpose course. Contemplate.

After 8 weeks of not ejaculating, and also fully decaffeinated... My energy levels: INSANE. Before, working out was something I made myself do so as to feel strong. Now, it's something I HAVE to do in order to calm down and feel sane. Cold showers used to make me cold. Now, after one minute I am already overheating and want back in. And my shower goes seriously cold. This is basically my frequency: I've liked this music for a decade, but I can appreciate it on a whole new level now. The man who makes a beast out of himself, gets rid of the pain of being a man. I think I ran one of my best 4km laps this morning, too bad I forgot to charge my phone so I didn't record it. Working out and then not eating until 12.00 makes me feel like a beast. A hungry beast. Especially with this breakfast?

@DIVINATOR So trying to pick any pre-defined language related career that many others are doing too, you're severely limiting your impact. Even with a passion for animation, you're not going to be fulfilled just 'animating' stuff for other people, as a freelancer or in a job. If you carve out a creative niche where you can be unique, you can provide massive value. Use language and animation to achieve...something. Some greater impact. You know a couple of your interests, don't confuse those for purpose. What impact do you want to have? Focus on that. Your language and animation skills will come in handy at some point naturally. Don't worry about that for now.

I know. You're right. I mostly felt bad because he didn't do anything bad to me for me to hurt him like this. I know what I want, I just need courage to do it. I don't meditate, always postponing it. I don't drink coffee. And yes. If you can enjoy sexuality on your own, and have orgasms and everything, then my guess is you just don't have the right match, or the sex would be good. Sending you some courage!?

I am so sharp, focused, and energetic it's ridiculous. I'm also a substantial dick to people. But in a loving way Going out for gymnastic rings humiliation in a moment, that'll set me straight. It's a very kinky workout.

Not gonna lie, the process of soaping up my butt and shaving my ass did turn me on a little.

Amazing mental clarity and ENERGY this morning. The day started with it being quite hard to get out of bed and feeling still stressed from yesterday. Which is not good. However, after some shopping, I felt more energetic, and after a cold shower, the stress transformed into clarity and energy. Did some cleaning, too, which I was completely and effortlessly focused on. Something that is pretty exceptional for me. Usually when I do something like cleaning, I have to put on a podcast or something so I don't get distracted in thoughts all the time. Also * flipping pancake break * Also, the intermittent fasting thing is SO much easier when I'm doing something physical. Like right now, during shopping and cleaning, it feels amazing. During seated meetings, I struggle with hunger pangs a lot more. I wonder whether I am in ketosis right now. Probably. Given the fact that I feel energetic and also light as air. I guess we'll know after I eat those pancakes ? Doing some diamond push-ups while the pancakes are pancaking. Did 6 (or 7?) sets of those. Chest nicely pumped. Good thing I added some protein powder to the batter. And, you know, eggs.

Vitamins are food, they have to be digested. So it breaks your fast. You should also not drink coffee.

@flume awesome answer. I'll be sure to ask your input when I start mine. @Sempiternity Maybe you can visit Tamera to refine your own idea and take inspiration

I'm definitely in that mode where I'm super tired, but still able to do mental work because I put stress on myself. Benefits of clean diet. Although I feel a bit like a crackhead, ironically. My eyes feel a bit hollow and I get random flashes of randomly negative thoughts, some thoughts feel stressful that totally are not. Context: I was supposed to finish this thing for work. But also work on sales script for biz. But also process idea X, Y and Z. I started out today feeling already with a feeling I can only describe as dry brain. I was able to force myself to focus on programming and produce something beautiful, but I had to strain a lot. Same as yesterday. Is it my diet? Am I just not taking enough downtime? I'm just...happy that I can do it. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to and that would give me a disadvantage. Haven't been outside today at all.

I don't need a 20+ year career in professional boxing. I'm already not able to eat soup without spilling.

Have you contemplated this on psilocybin? That's my advice. Shrooms. They can really be a great tool in rewiring neural patterns in the brain. People have cured their stuttering in one trip. It also helps greatly against migraines.

This is no way to have a relationship. Sex is an important part of it, and if you don't enjoy that, then find a person with whom you do. My gut feeling is that you are so much in your head and thinking all the time, that you let your head make all the choices instead of the heart. That's how you end up with "just okay" love matches like this. Are you in touch with what you really want? Do you meditate? Do you drink a lot of coffee? (Can cause head-heart dissociation) Do you enjoy masturbating solo?

Congratulations, you've successfully rejected yourself based on a hypothesis you've given ZERO testing. You're just being a pussy here. What do you want? To date, or not to date? Either is fine. If you want to date, then you'll have to start believing that your life is awesome right now. If you believe it, she'll believe it (not everyone, but the right ones). If you don't believe it, then make changes until you do. This has NOTHING to do with girls man, this is all you. Are you 100% cool with how you live your life, or not??

@kras Hi, 28 years old here. When I was 27 I came to a similar conclusion, that I had two conflicting goals. Start a business, and learn pickup so as to become a massive player. Both take all the free time. I made a choice. So can you! The pickup gurus will have you believe that you need to regularly go out or you'll never find someone. It's BS. Focus on your goal and trust the Universe to provide you with the right people. Good luck!

I'm no expert on 'toxic masculinity', but this seems to be a prime example. What are you scared of, really? I agree that men should learn to not be pussies and be able to exercise their masculine. But being a pussy has nothing to do with integrating your feminine. In fact it takes brass balls to fully face and start to integrate your feminine side. Which I can tell you haven't done. So what are you blabbering about. Paint those nails!
-
Hey, congratulations on digging yourself out of that toxic hole! Not bad for 20 minutes. Here's books I've read (also available as audiobook) that have helped me understand what attracts women: 1. Mark Manson - Models 2. David Deida - The way of the superior man Dig in!

It doesn't matter how or where you spend time with this girl. You can make any situation work. Worrying about that is in itself neediness. I think she would like you to be a man who owns what he wants and takes responsibility for his choices. So, where do you want to hang out with her?

In the latter years of the 19th century, there were several instances where apparently perfectly ordinary human beings landed aircraft on dusty roads, spoke briefly with farmers who were haying their crops, and then flew off! So what does this mean, in the light of... by fifteen years later, aircraft had been invented, and these things were happening? Is it that the future arrives incrementally, almost as a particulate gas, first in fantasy and dream, and then more concretely later? A quote I just heard Terence McKenna say and I had to look it up and transcribe it. I can listen to him for hours and just enjoy the amazingly unusual thought patterns. It really is like music to me. Or a live painting happening in your mind.
