  1. Meditation is a practice to see things as they are and detachment start to happen. Don't make the mistake and say "I can't meditate because I can't detach from myself" It's exactly that reason meditation is good for you but you don't see it. Meditation is kind of tricky in the beginning. You do it but you don't understand why and you don't feel any change. But just hang in there and do it every day for 1 month and then you can see why it is such a good thing ❤️?
  2. It all depends on the context. If you always follow the same advice you also get stuck. Your perceptions and understand is unique. There's two parts of you that seems to be in conflict. The being-part and the becoming-part. They are not working against each other.

  4. That's the whole thing. What can you do with things you can't control? You let it go. But I understand your "problem". Why did you stop with running if you liked it so much? Do what you like then most when it comes to workout and read what you love to read. And meditation is very powerful to let everything be. Observe without doing. Behavior change comes with awareness and not the way around by doing.

  7. Yes. It's normal but don't get depressed! Life is really beautiful and we all know it whether enlightened or not. It's a step on the way and meaningless doesn't mean pointless or negative. Don't let your self actualization journey be an intelectual journey. Eventually you have to open your heart for whatever is. Even the meaningless. Much love
  8. You will get tired of alcohol and going out eventually as you get more conscious. I think getting tired of alcohol is one of the first signs of growth ?

  10. Bad relationships is the best spiritual practice ever ? Forget about her and forget able being friends. She doesn't seem friendly and also, don't expect or wait for her to change. You have better things to do. Focus on growing yourself or you might get the same kind of relationship next time ?✌️

  12. Nahm had great tips. It will come, just focus on your mission. It's ok to not have any money also! First you need to define what financial freedom means to you ? For me I began with the wish to just be in the sun and meditate. It worked
  13. What makes a thought more special than a stone? The question would be as good if you asked "What is a stone?" We don't know really but we can find out where it comes from ??❤️
  14. Nothing is stable ? But meditation in itself is not a movement of thought. Then again we should ask the question if we want to calm the mind down or to realize reality as it is? Depending on focus and intention these two are very different. ?

  16. In your example about the man asking for direction, I don't see that as a lie. I see it as good action to stop violence. Your intention is to safe life's (both the man and the victim) It's impossible to say before hand what Truth or lie is because it always change and therefore it would be a disaster to genetically engineer babies. In fact, we are already perfectly program for Truth and also for freedom which means choice to stay with Truth or not. Our actions, in the moment, with right intention, can never lead us in the wrong direction.
  17. As I said earlier, concentration and observation of the constant change that goes on within will lead to detachment from oneself and the world. If people do it other ways that's very good also ?

  19. That's another way to say it! I like it. That seems to happen to some people who practice meditation focused on liberation. No one knows how many ways there are to the timeless. But until we get there we are stuck in time Much love
  20. In your example, you are using concentration in doing something. It's like a cat watching a mouse hole. The cat has full of concentration but he is not concentrated on the reality within. His concentration is not directed towards self-realization. A pocket thief is very concentrated in the action of stealing. But still, he doesn't use the concentration towards the reality as it is. When practicing meditation that aims for liberation, it is important what kind of concentration we are using. When meditation is done with this understanding there is no longer a meditator doing meditation. The mind is a great server but a poor master. Concentration, mastery over the mind and direct experience is great to generate wisdom about the changing phenomena throughout the universe. With this wisdom, liberation and free from attachments can manifest itself. There are many ways but this is why people do the practice of concentration. May all beings be happy May all beings be liberated
  21. The concentration of the mind is important to be able to observe the reality within. To get direct experience of the changing phenomena inside and eventually drop attachment to all impermanence. For me, this has been crucial because it's not only intellectual understanding, it's experiential. For some people, mastery over the mind is highly valued and for that they need concentration.   22. One way, according to the Buddha, is to practice concentration with the help of the natural breath. You practice concentration by observation.
