  1. forgetting is fine, repressing isn't. Enjoy the tea! Even though we both know tea isn't real and neither is enjoyment but that's not necessarily true either, I will keep thinking about how to communicate that, you enjoy your tea!
  2. Cats, on the other hand, are symbols of the instinctual feminine. They can symbolize our feelings, but also the maternal instincts of nurturance, self-protection, and protection of offspring. Cats are excellent hunters and admirable fighters, and often retain a certain wildness and independence despite their domestication. Having ready access to the instinctual wisdom of a cat can be a great asset. Shin, lets have a deep talk about your instinctual femininity, I think it may have some deep meaning. How well do you feel you are nurturing any/all of anything you would potentially categorize as "your offspring"?
  3. Well of course it depends on how far along the path you are, and what you define as serious stuff, because all stuff kind of has a bit of truth, some statements more than others. My point is it's a spectrum so it's really up to you when you define serious. But as far as teachings, if it doesn't resonate with you yet, it ain't legitimate to you yet. I'm not saying you're doing this, but don't accept stuff that seems like it is accepted by people who may be further along the path than you. I would just read the bible and see what you right now personally agree/disagree, I personally found a lot of cool non-dual teachings so maybe you will too
  4. Oh fuck I will write her an apology letter and overindulge myself five times in a row to make it up
  5. So rude to the devil, he has feelings too jerk
  6. They might not get "it", but maybe there is something they will get. Some people gotta baby step towards the truth
  7. No soda from today, I'm back. Pretty good healthwise today, probably too much milk, but that's fine I guess. Going to the gym tomorrow, meal prepping tomorrow
  8. I hope so! Just hope you don't have too many, "I'll be happy whens", I think they have their place, I also think they can take away from now. Anyways I didn't come to lecture you, I just really like the journal you got going and appreciate it regardless of your motives
  9. I don't think I've seen more honest journal posts, and I really appreciate that on a platform that is largely used as a spiritual dick measuring contest. You definitely speak for the same social anxiety that I think we all have, I'm sorry it gets in your way a lot and it feels like a struggle, but you definitely aren't alone in your thoughts. Don't be so hard on yourself about wanting attention, you are making honest journal posts that are helping other people think through the same issues they have internally as you, don't over complicate things hahaD::
  10. Meditation is a way of life for me in a large way because I spend a majority of the day exploring what I'm feeling and pushing to be more aware, as one does with meditation, but throughout my life (recently)
  11. Sorry the forums wasnt helpful to you, hope you feel better
  12. I mean you don't have to believe western philosophy will answer questions like "what is love?" "What is God?" if God exists of course "what is conciousness?" Etc I just lumped questions like those into deepest truths. I'm personally really good at using science and logic to answer certain questions, just like you can be with western philosophy, but you have to be ready to drop them for truths outside of their (science/western philosophy) pay grade
  13. Sorry I thought I had replied. but we are just fucking around, we found each other on here and we sure as hell aint professionals self actualizers if thats even a thing, we were just sucking ourselves off a bit. Although I've done most of my journey solo, my friend of the last 15+ years is seeking enlightenment so I never had to search for someone and cant offer you any advice here, maybe @Sahil Pandit can
  14. Yeah you can send it over text too if thats easier or document it here, but I am interested so long as it isnt too big of a pain in the ass for you
  15. If you got some techniques, hell yeah I'll try them, rest is important! Hopefully you feel better tomorrow
  16. I would get you killed, you would have to be the responsible one
  17. Went swimming and tried to do so in a somewhat healthy way, did some front stroke, did the flippy thing to turn so I could pretend like I'm a good swimmer. Stayed away from soda/alcohol, drank water when given the option over those two, went for walks throughout the day and tried to stay as active as a man on vacation can be. Did stay more hydrated, so there's that. Would like to watch how much I eat and stay away from chippies these next few days as we RV back from from the 10th-13th. That will be a PRIME opportunity to crack out 5 hours + formal meditation practice a day, might want to try some new techniques and get into Kriya with my boy @Sahil Pandit How did your day turn out?
  18. I appreciate this.Thank you AHHHHHHHH tooo true, I've literally had people just copy and paste a video as an argument, slit my wrists....
  19. Gotta love having a discussion with someone and they start copy and pasting quotes from their favorite guru, and if you defeat that one they got five more pokeballs filled with random gurus to "debate" for them
  20. Let's do a different example to avoid some nuance, take a baby who is crying. What belief/thought is that baby having to feel the emotion that is making it cry? Maybe we are hung up on what we are considering a belief, but maybe answering that question would help
