  1. If you're interested in Adyashanti's take on spiritual bypassing, here it is: From 50:00.
  2. I like to jog, but only when the weather is cold (usually winter). The colder the better. Shoutout to my man, Wim Hof (Of couse only in shorts and just a T-shirt)
  3. @Oliver Saavedra Check out the extension 'Dark Reader'. I've been using it for a while and it gives a nice dark layout for this forum as well. A block/ignore function would be great. You could just push a button and you wouldn't see anything from that person anymore.
  4. I guess that's quite normal. Usually every meditator goes through that phase at some point. A proper sleep routine is key, but other than that, maybe try doing some light exercise or some yoga asanas before your session. It helped me a bit.
  5. If you were to summarize spirituality in a few sentences to a person who has never heard about it, what would you say?
  6. Kind of freaky when you think about it, but you're not the one who's doing it. You're basically the recipient of it. And here comes the big ol' question: "Who am I, then?"
  7. • Let's say there's a really big (infinite, I should say) shop where you can only buy glasses. Every glass is different. Some are more colorful, some are smaller, some are bigger. Infinite variations basically. Now let's say somebody knocks over one of the glasses. It falls to the ground and it breaks to a hundred pieces. Now matter how colorful or beautiful this glass was, it ends up in pieces. However, there was never a "glass" in the first place. It always consisted of air, sand, heat and other materials. Therefore, that particular glass may be gone, but in actuality, that glass didn't have a begining and or an end. • We're here to learn and to build a better place. Besides that, it's pretty much meaningless.
  8. I already have a (physical) journal, but I thought I'd be a good idea to create a thread for my random thoughts. So here it is.
  9. "Try to solve the non-existent problem." Adyashanti about seeking.
  10. Started doing WHM again. I'm glad I did, it's especially important these times. Also, it feels good. I can hold the 1-1.5-1.5 minutes quite well.
  11. My 2 cents: Forget what Leo said, forget about Maslow's hierarchy and forget every model all toghether and follow your intuition. Do what's most important to you. You can do consciousness work even if you're high school. In fact, every kid in high school should meditate at least once a day. Do consciousness work, but don't forget about the necessary survival skills. I guess, education is what you should focus on right now. Maybe try contemplating about what kind of work you'd like to do in the future. No need to be uptight about that, just play with some ideas. Also, you're still quite young, so find some great hobbies, try to socialize (if you like) and just enjoy the process
  12. I wouldn't say it'll be comfortable all around, but it'll get easier with time. In your case, the best scenario would be getting comfortable with the uncomfortable. Sure, it's easier said than done, but after a while you'll get used to it. Start developing productive habits one by one. There's no need to try forcing several new hobbies at once because you'll crash pretty soon and you'll find yourself back at square one.
  13. Yeah, this would be great.
  14. Well, if you think killing and eating animals are wrong and veganism is the solution, that's fine. That's your choice. However, ranting like that will solve nothing but only trigger egos. If you ask me, that heavily judgemental approach is the not the ideal way to tackle this issue.
  15. That was pretty good. I liked the way how Sadghuru tried to explain non-duality to them.

  18. I think I've heard you talking about the hard problem of consciousness, but it'd be interesting to hear it again.
  19. @r0ckyreed Yeah, if you get grabbed by your monkey-mind too often, then it tends to be frustrating. That's when proper concentration skills come handy. I don't practise self-inquiry in a formal way, it's like a constant practise for me. However, I do practise meditation and I like to combine the two. As for contemplation, I use my journal to do so. If you're interested in these techniques, I strongly recommend Adyashanti's book; The Way Of Liberation. He describes these 3 techniques in a detailed way. It's available for free on his website.
