  1. I regularly contemplate what different objects are made of. For example, I take a look at my desk and I wonder: "Hmm, this desk has a light brown color and it feels solid. What is it made of? Wood. Where wood comes from? Trees. Where do trees come from? Forests. Where are forests exactly?" And so on... I applied this to many many objects and I realized that every single object has "natural" materials. Wood, water, sand, natural fibers, etc. And where do these materials come from? From nothing
  2. After watching Leo's video about nihilism:
  3. Spirituality is not the renunciation of life; it is the art of living fully.
  4. Leo explained this in his full circle video at 59:40:
  5. @Javfly33 You perceive an object and you assign the label 'chair' to it. Okay, so far so good. What is it made of? Wood. Where does wood come from? From trees. Where do trees come from? From forests. What are forests and where do they come from? And so on... This is just a random example, but if you contemplate this at great length, you'll definitely get some insights. Also Adyashanti has a brilliant video where he explains oneness in an everyday language. Check it out:
  6. @Rajneeshpuram Listen to the podcast, you may hear some things to contemplate about. Anyway, I've had thoughts like this before. It's kinda scary from the ego perspective, but before I'd spiraled into fear-based stories, I remind myself that: "hey, these are thoughts and imagination about the future, be here now."
  7. This is a pretty awesome episode of this podcast. Paul Chek talks about consciousness, God, Love, death, DMT and so on.
  8. That when you go out into the woods and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You appreciate it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don’t get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree. The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying “You’re too this, or I’m too this.” That judging mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are.
  9. How about focusing on your LP AND consciousness work simultaneously?
  10. You definitely influence your environment even if you're not aware of it. If you learn how to talk about self-development/spirituality in a skillful way, that helps a lot. I have many people in my family and social circle to whom I've been a good influence. What I mean by that is I started reforming my life a few years ago and they probably noticed that I felt better and better. After that I learned how to talk about these matters and I stated several times how effective these various practises were for me. Then, I noticed people around me started doing some self-help or even meditation and stuff like that. Leading by example what I'm talking about basically.
  11. @Girzo Well, I have pretty much the same opinion about Adyashanti, however, he is also capable of playing Zen games sometimes Check out this one: Besides the Zen games, this is actually a beatiful example of compassion and understanding.
  12. Love this Wish I could see the faces of rationalwiki people as they barge into this thread. Here's my favorite story from Adyashanti:
  13. Sci-fi panel whatever thingy (3D game asset):
  14. @Leo Gura If a 5-MeO-DMT burrito stand existed, the request "make me one with everything" would be quite appropriate.
  15. I feel your teachings are completely fine, but your tone/method of delivery sometimes could use some 'softening'. I can totally imagine you can come off as downright rude or even a bully to some people. Of course I understand that you consciously use this method of delivery, but maybe in some cases it can be counterproductive.
  16. A conversation with Adyashanti would be awesome.
  17. Today I realized something important. It's so easy to get lost in the world of spirituality and nonduality while you're totally ignoring and maybe even repressing basic self-development traits. Realizing that you're awareness and you're not your thoughts is well and good, but we still need to function in the real world, performing at work, interacting with others, solving problems effectively, managing relationships, etc. To be more concrete, I'm talking about self-confidence, assertiveness, charisma, not being a nice guy, speaking up, being courageous. I definitely need to work on these basic aspects of self-development, I've been a nice guy for way too long... What about you guys?
  18. What do you need me to see? Show me a memory that needs to be healed. What am I scared of?
  19. I don't live my life. Life happens through 'me'.
  20. 1. Working through hundreds of layers of social conditioning. 2. Meeting, accepting and loving your shadow. Thus seeing through the illusion of duality.
