  1. But then isn't Good done for a reason? It is done by you for its own sake, so it seems an egoic action. It seems no more selfless than doing some altruistic type of evil (in the sense that when you do something altruistic, you do it to help people, but helping people makes your identity feel good, hence "evil"). But again, non-altruistic evil (murder, crimes, etc.) is a distorted, narrow form of love directed primarily towards the self with the exclusion of others. It seems to me that unconditional good or love is not possible even in theory. Or that evil=selflessness (not Selflessness with capital S). A circular paradox. Even saying that "all is one" doesn't make the situation any better, because then you collapsed the duality, but a new self is created (the fusion of you/others) which becomes the new identity that gains benefits from doing good.
  2. I'd add another question: how to know when you have found your true core, given that you could be suppressing it, away from your sight? In other words how to know if you're lying to yourself without being aware of it? What if you're not really acknowledging yourself? I (male) personally am more feminine than most men I see in my city (at least from what I see, maybe they are withholding their feminine side because of fear). But I understand that my feminine side appeared as a reaction to my masculinity being wounded. I think this is the case because when I'm intimate with women my masculinity awakens and I feel more authentic.
  3. Cool. I'll focus on diet first, thanks.
  4. Is it correct to say that the same emptiness from which thoughts seem to arise is a copy, in a smaller magnitude, of God emptiness? As God has infinite creativity that manifests with will as things and stuff, we have some creativity that manifests with will as thoughts.
  5. Sleeping with blankets on a mattress makes it difficult for my feet, but I guess I can find a way. Thank you.
  6. Can sleeping on the side of your body cause scoliosis? I've found little info on this.
  7. It seems a stage blue frame. Guilt is a psychological thing that carries the original sin thing i think. It's cultural, not impersonal.
  8. @Leo Gura @Hello from Russia Thanks.
  9. Got it, thanks. Regarding the microwave thing, I think you could buy a microwave without holes on the door, if you don't mind not having the possibility to see into it. But I'm not really sure because if it the door is not made with the same materials as the interiors, the electromagnetic field could deposit on the door and the door could become like an antenna, radiating electromagnetic waves. But still, I don't really know because I have to study that course yet.
  10. @sholomar @Michael569 @Rolo @No Self @ravlondon @Preety_India @Villager Albert I'm studing engineering, and in a course our teacher explained to us the microwave thing. Basically every microwave has a pattern of holes on the "door" (because otherwise you can't see I guess). The electromagnetic field can have various frequencies, and the holes are made so that the electromagnetic field decays before escaping the microwave oven through the holes. But given that we are talking about millimeters and even micrometers, and objects are not always perfect, the microwave could be designed not so well and some radiation could escape. But you can't know for sure. So better get away from the microwave oven. @Michael569 I read on the Ultramind Solution that the microwave produces AGEs (Advanced Glycation End products) thus provoking more oxidative stress and inflammation. What do you think of this? I don't know why it creates them and if it's true.
  11. How to deal with the fear that someone could create your life purpose idea while you learn how to implement it? Since I started to think about my life purpose, I came up with interesting business ideas, and since I had them I feared that someone could steal my ideas or that the niche I found will be saturated when I'll be in a position to do my thing. Is being extremely creative the only solution?
  12. @aurum They are related to life coaching and arts. @Shin If I'm planning to make an idea my main source of income, and somebody implements it before and better than me, I'll have to change my trajectory and reinvent a new product/idea from scratch in the worst case scenario. I could lose money and the project that suited best my personality. I'm sure I'm looking at the situation in an unresourceful way, I know I'm facing limiting beliefs, but I wanted to hear some point of view from someone in the business field.
  13. @Leo Gura Oh I see, so things happen without a prior cause. The lack of prior cause needed is the cause for Being. Is that what you're saying?
  14. @Leo Gura As I recall, you talked about quantum fields in the Quantum Mechanics video series. I'd be glad if you expanded on that topic. Why and how can a field (a mathematical concept as I understood) give birth to something not conceptual like subatomic particles? You'll say that subatomic particles are also conceptual, are an illusion, but how come a more ethereal illusion like a concept can transform into a more concrete illusion like particles? Also, since a friend pointed it out during a conversation, I've been pondering this question: why molecular hydrogen (H2) and molecular oxygen (O2) are gases, thus have air-like properties, but when you mix oxygen and hydrogen together and get water (H2O), suddenly you have non-air-like properties? Why and how mixing things gives birth to new properties? In the end, both gases and non-gases are made of atoms and particles and forces that follow the same rules of physics. You could say that's the magic of the hydrogen bond, but why then having molecules closer make them appear more solid and doesn't give them other properties? Where it is written? This last question could simply be my lack of proper information. It may seem silly. But I'm talking about the relationship between physics and the phenomenological world. Maybe I'm asking why this universe has the rules it shows to have.
  15. Hi there. Since I started self-actualizing I always kept going forward so that I could overcome my problems and obstacles. In doing so, I navigated the self-actualizing journey using happiness and joy as my north star. I loved the idea that we could be our own sun, shining love and joy from within and sharing my gifts to the world, withouth "mud" or "dirt" covering us. I undertook the healing journey, and I made huge progress, but I sense that I'm still far away from being my own sun. And sometimes I think: "Is there a reaching point?". Of course not, I answered myself. I understand that the self-actualizing journey is never ending, and that infinite is infinite, it has no end. But then, when I'm intimate with women, mainly sexually, I feel that I'm a lot more of my own sun. And of course, that's the main purpose of sexuality I guess. If that wasn't the case people would not reproduce and it is a domain where you can show all of you. But is there a way to be our own suns that doesn't deal with sexuality? I know this question may seem similar to other questions on the forum about meeting our need on our own, but it's not the same in my mind. I'm not talking about simply filling a need and/or outgrowing it, I'm talking how to be so radiant that you emanate joy and love (and filling needs is a baseline to do that). And I'm not asking this to avoid being sexual, just to reorient myself and understand better human psyche and my trajectory. Is spirituality the journey I'm describing? Or can I come increasingly closer to that state withouth having to trascend the material world?
  16. @Nahm You made my intuition shiver ahahah. So the goal is the present moment/Being? It makes sense. But some time ago I experienced a glimpse of the present moment as described by Eckhart Tolle, and it was drier and colder than the sensation of warm and power I get from being intimate.
  17. @capriciousduck Start analyzing interactions and observing how people relate to each other. Keep thinking how to make people feel as good as possible without making them feel awkward. The key is keeping in mind how others perceive you, how they respond to how you behave during the interaction. Be careful though to not make it compulsive, not to beat yourself up for this and not to start caring about what other people think of you so much that you feel uncomfortable and neurotic. However, social skills can be dug out doing therapeutic/psychological work. Ask yourself: "Why I'm not accessing my social skills? What is preventing them to show up? What is blocking me? Why I don't feel connected to people?". Usually a lack of social skills comes from emotional blockages.
  18. @Seraphim That's what I'm looking for! Thank you @aurum Yes, I forgot that, thank you
  19. @EmptyVase I had the EXACT same insight some time ago. The more a perspective is pure, loving and accepting of all things, including other perspectives, the more superior it is because it is nearer to God's perspective which is all encompassing. However being inferior is not a bad thing. Notice that the emotional/psychological state where the perspective comes from is important. So then you don't have a simple axis, but a multidimensional chart that takes into account defense mechanisms, quality of thought, range of emotions, ecc.
  20. Hi, I've recently finished reading UltraMind Solution by Mark Hyman. There he recommends taking a multivitamin with minerals to be in an optimal vitamin range. So I bought one and checked the doses of vitamins and minerals. And I have some questions. In the book Hyman lists all the nutrients and their dosages needed in a good multivitaminic. For example: 100-500 mg of pantothenic acid (B5) 500-1000 µg (mcg) of vitamin B12 etc. So I looked on my multivitamin and it says: 5 mg of pantothenic acid = 83% RDA* 2,5 µg (mcg) of vitamin B12 = 100% RDA* etc. *I double-checked RDA values from https://ods.od.nih.gov and RDA set by my country (in Europe) and they match. Now, I know in the book Hyman tells you to increase the vitamin intake with multivitamin, but with the data given I should take 20 capsules of multivitamin daily to arrive at 100 mg of B5, 200 daily to arrive at 500 µg (mcg) of B12. Am I missing something? Really, 200 capsules? I know he recommends additional supplements other than the multivitamin, but still! Obviously I can buy a better one, but isn't it too much given that I'm already near the RDA level? Also, I checked the UL (Tolerable Upper Intake Level) of vitamin B3 from here: https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Niacin-HealthProfessional/ (don't know if this link is reliable, but it's governative so I thought it might be). It says 35 mg. And Hyman recommends a multivitamin with at least 50 mg of vitamin B3. Isn't it dangerous?
  21. @Villager Albert Thanks
  22. Don't know if this question has already been answered, but I didn't find anything. Can you reach a harmful level in vitamin intake? Which vitamins should not be taken too much of? Which vitamins are "without side effects"? How do you know if you took too much of a vitamin? And what about proteins (vegetable proteins), phytonutrients, omega-3 fats, cholesterol (HDL)? I'm reading The Ultramind Solution, and the author says that to be healthy we should ramp up our vitamins intake. But he mentions the potential harm of too much vitamin D, calcium and magnesium only. So other vitamins and minerals don't have negative consequences? Thank you!
