  1. Hi! From what I learned trying to do visualization, there are three basic ways of visualizing: You visualize yourself doing something in third person (you visualize yourself from behind/above/in front of your shoulders or other external points of view) You visualize yourself doing something in first person (you visualize yourself from the inside of your eyes, like watching a film in first person) You visualize yourself experiencing something in "hyper first person" (this means that you don't visualize a situation as a film, but as a vivid, real-time event, where you perceive people and things as if you were not visualizing) The difference between the second and third version is like the difference between regular music and 8D music. My mind activity consists mostly of images perceived the same way you'd perceive images using the first two methods. It was a pleasant surprise when, for the first time, I unintentionally discovered the third way of visualizing. I found that I can use the this type of visualization when I cross my eyes, but I don't know why. Do you know other methods for visualizing so vividly? Is this only a matter of practice?
  2. @Cireeric It depends on what you define as dysfunctional. The more you heal yourself, the more you understand how deeply dysfunctional the standard family is. It also depends on the country, the culture, your emotional and psychological tolerance, the way you frame your past experiences, the way you see yourself, and so on. So, yeah, it's a generalization, I agree with you, but I'd say not a gross one, rather a useful one. Shyness usually comes from a negative self-image, negative beliefs about the world, trapped negative emotions in the body, traumas, shame for various aspect of yourself, dysfunctional relationship patterns with people and with yourself, lack of groundedness in yourself and your core masculinity/femininity, etc. And where does all of this come from? Also, family is the first instance of a social structure, so it is the first context in which you are socialized, which gives the starting point for other relationships and experiences.
  3. @Leo Gura How do you know when you achieve financial independence? There's a vague but implicit threshold like 1Mln or do you always have to calculate all the stuff (cost of living, desires, taxes, inflation, retirement, investments return, spending habits, etc.)?
  4. @Leo Gura Actually the question ties nicely with Spiral Dynamics: shy guys usually come from a somewhat dysfunctional home, and they have shadows usually of Stage Red and Stage Blue, sometimes even Orange. But, as always, there are other factors.
  5. @Vision He said in a video he went way beyond any book. Also, when you go so far as Leo has done, words and books become so shallow.
  6. @bazera Approach the challenge with the attitude of "at all costs"
  7. Hi! I've bought a B-complex supplement and among the ingredients there's an ingredient called Povidone K90. Searching online I've found that povidone is harmless. If it has small molecular weight it is excreted with urine, but if it has a big molecular weight, like the K90 type, it can go in the kidneys or in other parts of the body and it won't be excreted with urine. My question concerns this substance but extends to all harmless substances that are not excreted. Are they truly harmless? I am a bit concerned with their safety, because our body is not built to have these substances inside. But they are deemed safe.
  8. @Leo Gura What if a good mood is a façade you have fooled yourself with? For example, you have a light mood but that mood covers deeply a bad mood that you're not aware of?
  9. @Gianna Exactly. Life is testing you. What's the right path? You have to be strategic. Also, don't forget that going in the deepest realms of your psyche, confronting your demons is a huge opportunity to grow your capacity to handle God's love. It's an opportunity to get more tools in your toolbelt.
  10. @Vzdoh That's a fragment of a memory that came up as a sensation. Memories have different parts, smell, touch, emotions, sight, sounds, taste, or just bodily sensations, but these elements can be separate.
  11. @Vzdoh Yes, it's similar to holotropic breathing
  12. @Vzdoh Also, take a look at my posts on healing. You'll find resources, exercises, info, and various approaches.
  13. @Gregp Take some time to integrate the grief and loss of your dear ones and of your identity and belief system. The next phase will be to re-assemble differently your self-image and identity and your role in the universe. It seems to me you're taking several blows from life. Love those downs, and learn from them at your own pace. Be strategic in your love for yourself.
  14. @actualizing25 The key is the intention. Which path among the three options has more love and joy? If for you it's the end suffering path, then obviously do that. The same for the other cases.
  15. @actualizing25 It is possible. But they're escaping. Running away. They're not facing life head on. They are not fighting, they are afraid. Do you think that behaviour is equal to facing life fiercely and with bravery? I don't think so. If you think so you're saying that bravery is equal to fear. Doesn't mean we don't understand or care about them. All perspective are valid, but perspective can be on different levels and levels are put on scales (which imply higher or lower, better or worse) in order to have levels. Sure, they might not be aware they're running away. But they're missing a lot doing so. Also, to appreciate all biases you have to see that wanting to have everything on the same level is a bias. Where is it written that making all the same level is better than not doing it? This question already imply using levels to enstablish not having levels as better.
  16. @Gianna She comes from a past of intense emotional, physical and psychological trauma. Her teachings, which are a blend of psychology + spirituality, are geared to people who want to resolve traumas, emotional blockages, relationships and so on. She helps you being aware of your psyche, of your emotions, of your needs, of your shadow. It's up to you to know if you need all that stuff. Surely, the psychology concepts she talks about are very useful to learn how your mind and other people's mind work. Multiple perspectives. Also, Healing = Consciousness = Love = Unity = One. Her teachings are not antithetical to Leo's. Simply they tackle the issue from another side. For me personally healing and consciousness work are the most important journeys to follow in life. But how do you know if you need to resolve traumas? You have a feeling it could be it. If you feel like you don't have baggages, then it may be so. Usually when someone has baggages knows it. But still, you could be in denial or could not be so aware to see you need her teachings. The point is, you don't know how much you need to dig. Maybe you need to dig a lot, and you're not aware of that. Or maybe not. The only way to know is to go take a look. Only when you'll have done a bit of work you'll know if that was something worthwhile to do. So a good plan of action could include doing your thing and meanwhile listening to her to the extent you feel compelled to do so. Also, keep in mind that healing is not something you do a little and then you're done. The more you have unresolved stuff in your psyche, the more colossal the journey is. If you feel like her teachings make you doubtful and uncertain, it could mean you haven't dug as deep as the stuff she talks about, so it could be wise to take a look. And if you get sidetracked and find yourself seeing that you need to resolve stuff, then it's what your meant to do. But then, it's up to you.
  17. @Carl-Richard Oops, sorry. I was sure I mentioned @Advocate. You havent't even posted anything on this page
  18. @Carl-Richard Work also on the first chakra. If you try to open the second without working on the first you'll just try to "replenish" the chakra without nothing to replenish it with.
  19. @Leo Gura Yes. Also, you may have gotten closer to God than Bashar has. Who knows.
  20. I think that's what Bashar meant in his video about psychedelics, where he/she/it said that you could access that state "tuning" into it without taking them.
  21. @Leo Gura What's your take on sexual energy, the concept of transmuting it and not wasting it, and all that stuff?
  22. Why lower things are worse than higher things? Giving food for thought
  23. @OBEler If she has deep trauma I suggest you look to my posts. I have quite some stuff on healing that could be useful to her. But in short, if she has trauma surfacing easily and doesn't have the memory, that's a wonderful chance to do bodywork or the completion process (it's a specific exercise). Not having memories of the trauma, if trauma really happened, usually comes from the brain preventing the person from being flooded by intense emotions. It's a safety mechanism that prevents your mind from being overwhelmed and shutting down in response of an intense emotional charge. In this period I'm experiencing on myself the issue of blocked memories, and this shows up as a throat/neck/back blockage for me. Also, it could be helpful to learn about characterology (lowen and reich work, you just google lowen characterology and look around).
