Noam Chomsky along with others signed an open letter against cancel culture. There is definitely a negative side to cancel culture.

One really toxic example for green I could think of is hyperawareness of gender and race at my university. Some people are suggesting mentioning your pronouns in emails. Some people have really created new jargon out of thin air which isn’t grounded in any physical or mental categories. We need categories of gender grounded in physical reality otherwise men can change their gender and walk into women’s changing rooms to spy on them. Now transgender people are fine but these other genders are not grounded in anything, they are just labels. These gender identities are more absurd than high school identities. How absurd would it be if I started asserting my “nerd” identity on everyone and said “nerds” are oppressed. Pretty sure that some people think this way already! Lol The left needs to get it’s priorities straight, these issues are not really issues.

That was one of his good takes. He said research shows there is a correlation between superstitious people and racism. If you think the date you were born on determines your personality or being, then it’s really not too far fetched for you think skin colour is linked to someone’s essential being or personality. If they can make you believe date of birth and people’s essence are linked, then they can also make you believe race determines who people are. People who believe in astrology/horoscope aren’t thinking for themselves. Yea, witches can be left-leaning, there are plenty of wackos who support the right causes for the wrong reasons.

I think it's a good move to ban TikTok because of the reason above.

Yea. I try to do that. Blue and orange crowd can be really toxic. I try to remember the red, blue, and orange around the world. Vaush calls Saagar Enjeti and Krystal Ball Nazis... He's pretty problematic himself.

Tribalism, red vs. blue. Vote blue cause it’s slightly less fucked up. Hell world. There’s something about these lefties that makes me want to say “fuck it!” and end it all, vote for the racists, and see the world burn. Idk what it is, maybe the hypocrisy and moral superiority, but it makes want to go dark.

Are we sure Alex Jones isn’t just faking it to get attention? How do we know he genuinely believes what he says?

You can say that for progressivism and feminism too. Changes names to make them more gender neutral... Calls movement Feminism...

A group of researchers literally wrote fake and outrageous articles which got accepted by academic journals. They made up clearly stupid experiments and quoted passages from Mein Kampf. Many departments are clearly corrupt in Universities. The progressives/left are also a threat to academic freedom. Maybe we should stop pretending that it’s not.

It's not about suppressing your sexual energy but utilizing it for higher purposes. Maybe if you spent as much time looking into transmuting your sexual energy into productive energy, you'd have fixed you energy problems by now

@Leo Gura With all the talk about ambiguity, requisite variety and your knowledge about philosophy, aren’t you attacking an overly simplistic idea of stoicism in your recent blog post? The advice of “feelings over facts” is potentially dangerous. It has a high chance of being misinterpreted. Actually, if many people took that advice they would be voting for fascism and be extremely racist, sexist, and hateful. People can go to emotional extremes and act on their emotions. I find there is not that much difference between thoughts and emotions, they are connected. Behind every emotion is a judgement that’s propagating it. You should rather promote looking at the “facts” or “actuality” without judgement, like the Buddhists and the original Stoics.

What stage was Gandhi? Didn’t Sri Aurobindo get arrested protesting the British rule?

I think you’re not being fair here. Look at it without spiral dynamics. If you were branded as a sexist or a racist and publicly humiliated because of a false accusation you would be thinking very differently. If you were a teacher/professor of course you would speak out, you could be humiliated if a single kid feels slightly offended, or worse, lose you job and humiliated. You would have to deal with annoying kids as usual and now there’s added wait. Bret Weinstein is not going to support SJWs because of what happened to him. It’s a great thing that he calls himself a progressive. A lot of people would have turned conservative. I don’t understand why can’t we do both? Make fun of SJWs and support progressive economic reform. SJWs are a big threat to the left. -
I think pirates have been turned into this romanticized thing in movies and cartoons. It's not really red if you liked Pirates of The Caribbeans.

Go talk to a homeless person and then go talk to a doctor and see which one is more spiritual, wise, and higher on SD, it not rocket science. -

Makes sense, when green publicly calls you names it’s normal to develop trauma. It only hurts green when they do that. I use to be like that for similar reasons, but then I got a broader perspective and realized what I’m criticizing is actually better than a lot of stuff outside the progressive bubble?♂️. -

I think you develop a chip on your shoulder for green when you’re in colleges and universities. It really toxic. Do you know the specific reason why he has that? -

You underestimate the SJWs. They can be very annoying you know. -
Lucky, I can't find a job.

WTF What does this say about humans if he’s our leader?

Again, you have no idea about the poor. You lack perspective and are arguing with me. I have lived in India and the villagers are NOT, let me say it again, NOT spiritually inclined. They know nothing about the news let alone politics, they vote for the most conservative candidate possible. -

You’re calling a virgin an ascetic. Just because you can’t find sex doesn’t mean you’re not horny, it actually makes you more horny than the man who has plenty of sex. Rich person is one who has their material needs met. The poor wish they were rich. If you think the poor are so spiritual then go to Liberia or Somalia to do spirituality. -

Look, yea, I’m making a generalization. I’m talking about poor working class and below. Most poor if they had a choice would not live in mediocrity. Wealth does not corrupt you, it just enhances your corruption. I think you have very little experience with poor people. They’re greedy as fuck, they just don’t have the outlet to express it. Sorry if that sounds bad but it’s true. You can look at everything that way. For the purposes of the discussion, there is a difference between individual effort and cultural conditioning. -
Akemrelax replied to LfcCharlie4's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
That’s not true at all, the poor are more greedy, and less spiritual. Just go to a third world country and see for yourself. Let’s just agree to disagree. It’s both. Many poor people don’t have the motivation to get out of their situation. -

Yes intelligence is relative, you can find wisdom in everyone. But it’s hard for people who are struggling to put food on the table to develop wisdom, they are low on the Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs. The rich have wisdom simply because they are materially and physically secure. They have access to education material and so on as well. Maybe you could say they have different types of wisdom. But in terms of politics and spirituality the rich would be more wise. Spirituality pops up in relatively affluent cultures, even in India the Brahmins (top caste) were suppose to be spiritual, the shudras and Dalits (lower castes) were not allowed/had the means to be spiritual.
