  1. Okay... then why do I only see white women when I search “happy woman”? Is google promoting whiteness?
  2. Then find ways to do that in real life. You will me much more satisfied. Maybe if you search deeper you’ll find more reasons why you play video games. For eg. people might play violent action games to vent out their anger, play to go on an adventure, or play strategy games to occupy their mind to do deep work. They are too afraid to manifest these desires in the real world so they live vicariously through video games. As a result their needs don’t get realized and playing becomes an escape. Make sure you’re addressing your fears directly and not getting distracted in an illusion of meeting your needs by video games.
  3. Oh I must have mistaken you for someone else. Apologies. But you did make a post like this one though. BTW, I agree with a lot of what you have said in that post as well as this one, although not everything. Here, I found it:
  4. @Someone here Pretty sure it’s a “she”. If I remember correctly from her pervious post. It was a similar post to this one, exact same actually. They complained about being treated differently due to being a female, “abuse” and about Nahm I think and leaving the forum.
  5. Your conversation with Nahm is a perfect example. He was not rude to you. The comment about blocking specifically looked like it was designed to hurt, you could have just ignored his reply. Also, in reality the line is a lot more blurry between the victim and the perpetrator.
  6. That’s still the ego though. You can’t escape ego through discipline, disciple is the continuation of ego. Ego is not a bad thing, it’s necessary. I can’t comment without knowing the specifics of your situation BUT I think you may need some basic self help advice. Like getting rid of addictions, getting good habits, not using social media, work-ethic, dealing with procrastination, etc. It may be a good idea to drop the big questions for a while and focus on getting your life together, life purpose and fulfilling basic survival needs. Maybe watching some older videos of Leo or reading self-help books. If you properly take care of survival now, you’re gonna have more time to do spirituality later on. Currently for example. I am focusing on facing my fear of work and responsibility. I realized that I was avoiding work by pushing my responsibilities into my subconscious mind and using other activities as an escape. It caused a lot of anxiety in me. Now I am trying to feel deeper and undo my negative associations with hard work and effort.
  7. @Martin123 I can’t help but notice that while you accuse others of being toxic and dismissive of you, you yourself have made comments in this thread that are dismissive and rude. I have seen you miss judge other’s intentions when they criticize you quite a few time. BTW, I agree that when presenting a different POV a couple of members can pile up on you. There seems to be a comradely between some old members where they come to each other’s defence. The mods don’t argue too much with Leo but that’s fine, it’s their opinion. I also find sometimes people can get away with saying rude stuff if they happen to be expressing opinions that Leo generally agrees with (Left wing, progressive opinions). Also, I find a great many people are not open to getting their ideas scrutinized, so I’m very careful who I respond back to because most of the time they don’t take constructive criticism. I still think this is an amazing community despite its flaws. Some of the flaws are unavoidable due to human error. We should appreciate that it exists at all, I don’t know any other place where spirituality is discussed in such openness and detail.
  8. Some people have a real hard time understanding this. What else can He be?
  9. Ask yourself why do you want to play videogames? What are you getting from videogames that you are too afraid to manifest in your daily life?
  10. Modesty and respect are the two most important values for me. In my personal life, I try to respect people’s opinions and actions even if I disagree with them. I try to respect everyone even if they are wrong or ignorant. To me, respect means having reverence for everything. Respect is a feeling one holds in themselves, it’s not an action in the outside world. You can fight your enemy with respect.
  11. Here are my quick answers: 1) Suffering makes happiness/bliss possible. Suffering acts as the opposition against which happiness exists. 2) The same reason we play video games. Imagined identities make us chase. 3) To experience a part of the infinity, infinity has to become non-infinity. It is like that because you want it and because it wants to explore/play. In infinity, all the states are “limited”. 4) Infinity includes “delusion” but there is no one definition of delusion so all states of infinity are delusions. In human terms delusion is defined relative to a “base” state of consciousness/identity, otherwise there is no state that’s deluded. Hope that made sense.
  12. I have found people with healthy relationships to have healthy SD stage blue in them. They tend to be less choosy when choosing a partner. They also compromise. They tend to be conformists (squares), not very individualistic. They play it safe when it comes to relationships, not getting into relationships that will be short and avoid dubious partners, and they attract similar type of people. They realize relationships are a give and take. They build their relationship on solid stage blue and orange values before moving to more romantic ideals of stage green and above.
  13. Hey guys, I am trying to learn about CRT but don't know a good place to start. If any of you know about CRT please share some learning resources about it. Books, video series, podcasts, or even thoughts. Thank you.
  14. @Vipassana Why don’t you analyze the situation of farmers and working class people in India or the rape that recently happened or the countless times human rights are being violated by the government? Bollywood actor’s suicide < billions of poor people.
  15. Haha It’s a strength nonetheless. Hitler was probably more strategic as well. Trump motivates me man. I want some of his abilities to use them for good . If he can do it so can I. Lol
  16. I was thinking about it just today. There are “good” qualities or strengths to him, he is President for a reason. Trump is a really intuitive communicator and highly motivated. Trump is really good at tapping into people’s fears and desires. He can communicate better than many democratic politicians, who may be saying the right things but aren’t able to reach the audience in the way Trump can. He’s highly motivated for his age. Most 70+ years olds stay home and relax. His motivation is perhaps his biggest strength, say whatever you want, the man doesn’t give up. He has many qualities which would have made him popular in his youth.
  17. No. It’s more of a established fact. Plus you can watch them and see who they are defending. Lol this would not be a question if you were actually Indian. How do you know Modi is doing any of that? Maybe people before Modi were better at doing those things? Just so you know, he has mainstreamed hatred against Gandhi and people now celebrate his murderer... so much for culture. Before Modi it was not okay to openly hate on Muslims, well now it is. Modi makes me ashamed of being Indian, before it was not the case. It’s not. Nope. Not at all. India was in better place before Modi. That’s one of the reasons people hate him, put aside the racism and nationalism, he hasn’t done anything for the economy.
  18. It's created by the media, which in turn is controlled by Modi. Modi was considered too far right even in his own party not that long ago. He is too conservative even by Indian standards. He has moved the Overton window so much. The economy is going down too, even before Covid 19. IMO Dr. Manmohan Singh was good, a great economist, secular, and just conservative enough to run a country like India. That was a way better time.
  19. That whole thing is a red herring to distract the masses from actual problems like poverty, rapes, farmer ordinance ,etc. That is like the best example of a silly conspiracy theory. Lol Whether it was a suicide or not will be determined after the investigation is done, but there is no need for silly speculations, especially be the media houses. Modi is a fascist.
  20. Matthew Santoro commented under that video, about something Leo addressed later on in the video for like an hour. Conspiracy theories seem really popular in America than the rest of the world. It's interesting to note that many "spiritual" people are also big conspiracy theorists. Goes to show the diversity in spirituality. These "spiritual" people are probably motivated more by exotic and cool ideas, than actually finding the Truth. Differentiating between actuality and speculations/beliefs is a basic requirement in this work. Finding reliable sources of information is crucial to understanding politics, history, etc. @Leo Gura A video about identifying and finding reliable sources would be very helpful for your audience, especially those interested in politics.
  21. Ok, but, how do you counter people like Peter Boghossian and James Lindsay? Check their twitter. They are spreading so much hate towards universities and "intellectuals" and they have (for the most part) a point. Do you dismiss that as just a lack of perspective?
  22. No shit. I am arguing they don't reject external circumstances and from what you describe nor does your mother. They just don't want to focus on. You are at the Expert stage of ego development buddy.
  23. One can believe black culture developed as a result of the environment and simultaneously believe that black people need to take responsibility to change it without seeking outside help or blaming the past. So they do blame the environment but think the solution is individual ownership; "pick yourselves up by the bootstraps" mentality.
  24. Canada has a large conservative underbelly. It’s less about anti-lockdown, more about the right. The Q on the flag is very telling. You’ll see a rise in conservatism in Canada soon.
  25. @Leo Gura You know what the big issue on the right wing is currently? Critical race theory. My past high school teachers, who I respected so much, are so concerned about it. This scares the shit out of white centrist and right leaning people. I honestly don’t know how to talk to “centrists” anymore. It makes me think they know nothing about human nature and politics, and I should ignore everything they say about it. Some of these people are social studies and psychology teachers which makes it all the more worse. Where do you pitch someone like Brett Weinstein? I think he and the IDW is the cause of this. He seems disingenuous. Oh, did I mention my teacher believes CRT was spread my USSR to infiltrate American society with neo-communism and to destroy the nation. He also shares shady videos on facebook which claim covid is over... two dates before Trump got Covid.
