  1. @Thought Art From my pov, social skills and specifically power games tend not to be a very noble by default. I was trying to discern between what you may call " self-actualized leader " and " ruthlessly effective leader" A " ruthlessly effective leader" may be cutthroat, sociopathic, ice-cold, closeminded, a go-getter, win at all cost attitude, narcisistic, ideological, a chronic liar, exploitative, injust, deceitful, hustler (as in the dictionary meaning ), highly charismatic and persuasive regardless of the ethics of the cause, dangerous , power/control/wealth hungry , etc. So these would be at opposite ends of the spectrum. Just wanted to mention this side real quick. The question would be how to combine the best from both worlds.
  2. I only like onyo tbh. All fruits are welcome if they are washed, peeled and spoon fed into my mouth
  3. It's no imposter syndrome. As said before, fitting in is a natural survival mechanism. You've just noticed it recently and now it feels alien to you because you've located it in your unconscious instincts rather than as a conscious decision. It's like you've looked for the first time in the mirror and now you find weird the shape of your eyebrows because you hadn't noticed before... but its just the way things are. Having a reactive emotional state to some degree is the same thing, fitting in. If you want to fit in, you can hope you properly feel empathy and fear and laughter the same way as others if you dont want to be an outcast. Being autistic or a sociopath is generally not a good strategy for fitting in. It's best to be able to relate and connect emotionally with others. Therefore you've noticed another natural instinct of yourself as the modern monkeys that we are. Exagerated example, imagine laughing when someone is crying. Not very effective way to be accepted by the tribe. "Hiding your intelect" as a fear of people's disapproval of you is also a coping strategy to fit in and not stand out. In the end, as you develop your character and confidence , you become more grounded and you stop caring less and less about fitting or the approval of others
  4. @AJBrew Well yeah, any meditation practice can potentially destabilize your life as you turn inwards and observe the mechanisms of your mind, it's no joke. You are mixing up self image work with consciousness work. They may be intertwined but they're not the same. Fitting in is a natural survival mechanism. Ofc people you spend time with end up influencing how you behave and what you belive. Same with culture, you're a fish surrounded by water. It sounds like your identity is not very grounded yet and you're relying on willpower to keep your center of gravity, which inevitably eventually fails. You also lack skill over your emotional state and drawing state from within, therefore you experience that fluctuation. Hang around better people and avoid what is absolutely against your values. How strict you want to be with this is up to you. Your identity has a centre of gravity right now. You can clarify it to yourself and then you can consciously slowly steer yourself in your desired direction. This takes time. Identity has homeostasis and you will not be able to switch a lot very quick or you will experience ego backlash. Meditation and consciousness work take you in the direction of metaphysical insight. Insights into the nature of mind, ego, thought, direct experience, no-self, THE self, etc It's not the same as self image and building your character / becoming grounded in your personality. You can think of them as somewhat oposed actually.
  5. Can you be more specific? Fitting in is one of many survival strategies. Your identity is not rigid and can be changed over time but it has inertia. Your physical and social environment also constantly shapes you and is prone to keeping you the same.
  6. Do you mean " good leader " or "Good leader" ? because I'm pretty sure we can come up with plenty of not so noble qualities ?
  7. It may seem like a no-brainer at this point, but downloading a simple app that allows me to track my spendings / savings and categorize them / jot down notes has strongly impacted my money skills for the better. As is expected, the observer effect also shows here. The fact that you track your finances affects your finances. What are your money habits like?
  8. I was really hoping you would elaborate this point into Freeganism. Also one of my neighbors took your advice last year and looted my avocado tree
  9. Find more authentic goals. Being a little lost is a normal part of the process. You and every other human being care about some things more than others. Specify their importance to yourself. Being unclear here is your worst enemy. This is a work in progress. You will most likely not nail it at the first try. Action, trial/error and then back to the drawing board. And I get the feeling that you specifically are at a point where you are extra confused. Don't take seriously some half baked silly ideas you may get. You may be very wrong.
  10. Awareness itself . Try mindful meditation with labeling , do nothing technique or strong determination sitting. Check out some of Leo's olser vids. Also this belongs to meditation subforum for next time.
  11. Classic struggle of higher self vs lower self. Your lower self is an energy efficient lazy monkey who wants nothing but comfort, pleasure, entertainment, food, sex... The purpose is survival and minimal energy expenditure. You can also think of it as your primal self, your reptilian brain . Your inner chimp, your small / contracted self, etc. Your higher self is your aspirations, ideals, your vision, your goals , the impact you desire to have... It's more related with willpower and the prefrontal cortex. This is not your default mode of operating. It takes consistent conscious effort. If we look at it from this perspective, selves are part of yourself, and if you want to ease that inner dispute you must learn how both work and how to nurture them. Imagine your lower self is an elephant and your higher self is the rider. If the rider wants the elephant to listen to him, he must train him and take care of him. The whip will only help that much, and if the elephant is not honored and his needs are not met you can be sure that he will not be listening. The man being 100 times smaller must outsmart the potent beast. That's just one example. That being said, maybe you are going in the wrong direction and your procrastination is telling you that, but you don't listen and try to push through, failing every time and therefore the cycle continues. Understand your values, strengths and what you find meaningful and then structure your life around it. Then, after you've successfully build habits over time and reprogrammed your subconscious mind, your actions will be more effortless, life will be more enjoyable, but still you will have to care for your inner chimp daily. PD : You relying on guilt to take action also perpetrates this yo-yo effect. Once the guilt is gone, you stop. Learn about how emotions work and build a work ethic over time.
  12. Woah i just got it!!. Just sew in your P hole and make alternative pipes for urinating and money shot away from the crotch area!! Minimal STD rate and no pregnancy. #bioengineering #visionary How did God not thing about this design???
  13. Can you explain more thoroughly? are you talking about your personality, or confidence / self worth? This probably should be in the personal development section.
  14. I was feeling very " burned out " for the last two weeks. I hadn't consistently used supplements for months. The moment I took vitamin C three days ago it was like a cloud had lifted from me. I definately needed that and I felt first hand the effect of it. I'm convinced. Im using cheap powdered vitamin C ( ascorbic acid ) for now and I really feel it work, not like other stuff I've tried before. 500g is like 15€ which is pretty much free compraed with buying it in pills. ( ill " upgrate " to sodium ascorbate powder soon ) I'm concerned because the interior of the bag seems to be aluminium, just like tetrabricks are, and it may be reacting with the acidic powder......... maybe a plastic container is the lesser evil? It probably is. I can also buy 500G of pure magnesium bisglycinate powder for 45€ which is like 7-8 times cheaper than buying pills, 240 100mg magnesium pills = 35€. I'm considering purchasing a capsule machine to DIY some supplements. Or just use the powders. Putting it into capsules adds a significant cost as well, but for the sake of convencience and precision ( for chelation rounds ) it may be necessary) Currently doing a few days of building up CORE 4 supplements as my re-stock arrives. Spent another 100€ on them but mental clarity and vigorousness are among my top 5 values so I dont mind that much putting money into it. I'll do more chelation soon. My chelators expire this month but aparently I can use them till march because they've been stored properly. My intuition is telling me it's a stupid move though. I may reconsider.
  15. Holy Sh*t. Ofc Nicola Tesla was a Freak of Nature! Check this out : The Electrical Experimenter 1919 , page 66 on the PDF or 744 in the magazine( the source) is open to public. [...] Then I instinctively commenced to make excursions beyond the limits of the small world of which I had knowledge, and i saw new scenes. These were at first very blurred and indistinct, and would flit away when I tried to concentrate my attention upon them, but by and by succeeded in fixing them; they gained in strength and distinctness and finally assumed the concreteness of real things. I soon discovered that my best comfort was attained if I simply went on in my vision farther and farther, getting new impressions all the time, and so I began to travel -of course, in my mind. Every night (and sometimes during the day), when alone, I would start on my journeys see new places, cities and countries live there, meet people and make friendships and acquaintances and, however unbelievable, it is a fact that they were just as dear to me as those in actual life and not a bit less intense in their manifestations. This I did constantly until I was about seventeen when my thoughts turned seriously to invention. Then I observed to my delight that I could visualize with the greatest facility. I needed no models, drawings or experiments. I could picture them all as real in my mind. Thus I have been led unconsciously to evolve what I consider a new method of materializing inventive concepts and ideas, which is radically opposite to the purely experimental and is in my opinion ever so much more expeditious and efficient. The moment one constructs a device to carry into practise a crude idea he finds himself unavoidably engrost with the details and defects of the apparatus. As he goes on improving and reconstructing, his force of concentration diminishes and he loses sight of the great underlying principle. Results may be obtained but always at the sacrifice of quality. My method is different. I do not rush into actual work. When I get an idea I start at once building it up in my imagination. I change the construction, make improvements and operate the device in my mind. It is absolutely immaterial to me whether I run my turbine in thought or test it in my shop. I even note if it is out of balance. There is no difference whatever, the results are the same. In this way I am able to rapidly develop and perfect a conception without touching anything. When I have gone so far as to embody in the invention every possible improvement I can think of and see no fault anywhere, I put into concrete form this final product of my brain. Invariably my device works as I conceived that it should, and the experiment comes out exactly as I planned it. In twenty years there has not been a single exception. Why should it be otherwise? Engineering, electrical and mechanical, is positive in results. There is scarcely a subject that cannot be mathematically treated and the effects calculated or the results determined beforehand from the available theoretical and practical data. The carrying out into practise of a crude idea as is being generally done is, I hold. nothing but a waste of energy, money and time. Lets find more juicy stuff on him ? Other brilliant minds are welcome as well.
  16. Quick recap for any lurkers. Yes, you right there, i smell you through the screen ? The context of this post is OP shares results of unprovoked heavy metal urine test, mentions life long concentration problems and asks if chelation is worth it. What I said is that doing an uprovoked urine gives little and inaccurate information. It must be contrasted with a provoked urine test if you want actual numbers. And repeating this process over time is what shows you more accurate data. Yes, If you want numbers it's costly. That being said, I only (barely ) did a hair test, for different reasons. I won't do urine tests as they are not in my budget and I dont care about the numbers, only about how clear my mind is and how energetic I feel, and that's real time feedback. Yes, ACC group is group think and people challenging the status quo are banned. That is partly because strict posting guidelines must be followed as as only two dozen mods moderate over a group of 80k people. It stops clueless people from hurting themselves and sharing potentially harmful info. It is not the place to innovate and shake the boat. It's a place for helpless newbies or intermediate people. Therefore paradigm lock is assured. You can poke holes in any scientific model and I encourage you to do if you have the requiered intellect, but in the context of this post, it's the best resource. The process outlined is begginer friendly, there is a place for feedback from " knowledgable " people and enough info for you to chelate as safely as possible TODAY. 90% of your question are easily anwsered there. I also shared Leo's video for contrast. Yes, chelation is not the cure for everything. There are dozens if not hundreds of different factors that could be contributing to your illbeing. Obviously go for the low hanging solutions first. So is chelation worth it? It depends on how serious you are on doing accurate personal science and finding possible solutions for your chronic fatigue and brainfog. You will most likely never know the exact reasons and you must work with the best you've got. It depends on how much you value potentially improving your mental clarity and becoming more vigorous. Put a price on it. 150€ a month for a few years. Is that how much you value it? Would you pay 3000€ for a more clear mind? How much would you actually pay ? How much time spent is too much for the cause? Only you can decide. PD: take responsibility and double chek any info for yourself.
  17. if thats true then you should be eager to give chelation a real test instead of brushing it off and blaming it on genetics. But i'm not here to convince you. Concentration problems and emotional instability are very often linked to heavy metal toxicity. Also mothers can transfer heavy metals to children, the most vulnerable stage of development. If you don't think heavy metal toxicity is your problem, then why did you do this test? No offense, but that's half-assing. An unprovoked test won't reveal toxicity, as discussed before. The other lowest hanging fruit would be taking a hair sample and sending it to a lab for analysis. Everything you need is found here https://www.facebook.com/groups/acfanatics/ What you also could do is a chelation trial. You do one round of DMSA and any reaction, positive or negative, is sign of toxicity.
  18. Does anyone here have any experience with making their own supplements? Specifically with a gadget like this : I mean if I buy Sodium Ascorbate powder or Magnesium Bisglycinate and just measure and put it in the capsules, I'd save around 15x, minus the initiall 20€ of the machine and the empty capsules. Aparently you can also do it to reduce the cost of DMSA and ALA, but I wouldn't take that risk. Yes it's less convenient, but I feel that over time you will become more efficient and it will be very worth it. Thoughts?
