I've tried a handful of nootropics over the last year and I love the effect they have on my mind. As you may know, they soon add up and get pricy. Specifically, I wanted to try Alpha GPC and I can't find it in amazon at a reasonable price... 50€ for 90 300mg pills seems costly. Which brings me to the question in the title. Alpha GPC 1KG for 80€ from C H I N A , about 20 times cheaper. My intuition tells me not to trust, In fact It is actually literally screaming at me not to trust. But I also intuit that sellers in europe are using chinese products anyways to maximize profit... On the other hand I did buy modafinil from india and it is legit. Or at least it works good enough to work effectively and not instantly do me harm. Thoughts, tips / tricks for enjoying the benefits of nootropics without breaking the bank? inb4 you tell me first to make sure to work out regularly, hydrate and take in some sunlight ? you would be right actually. But here we are.

@herghly in those situations social media helps. Girls love to be nosy and if you post stories of you having fun and enjoying your life in spite lf her ghosting you, your chances of her reaching out to you skyrocket. Thats a trick i guess

@Someone here i did it few years ago that's going the restrictive route. Once I've fixed my gut health sugar doesn't affect me nearly as much, not to say not at all. Note: back then my nutrition knowledge was more shallow, i may or may not have shared wrong ideas

a guy I knew for some time would take her grocery shopping for water jugs, carry the them into his apartment with her, he would play guitar and then finger her ( in that order, pretty bulletproof blueprint)

The idea of shooting blanks is fascinating. But no guy will be willing to inject gel in his nutsack. It may be preferred over vasectomy though. Let's see where they take this.

@sda great move!

You kind of already answered your own question. You can use negative motivation to take action ( for example, you don't like how you look in the mirror -> you work out) The problem with that is that it may create a yo-yo effect where you stop taking action once the pain point is gone. Once you're content with your weight you will stop working out and the cycle continues. In fact, traumatized people have more potential to develop themselves because they can leverage their trauma to snap out of apathy. People that have lived a quiet normal life may end up just being average, and derping away their lifes. They don't have much to leverage themselves from good to great. Also you can only rely on negative motivation so much. It comes and goes. Ideally you want to rely on an intrinsic positive authentic vision. That's just one possibility. Other traumatized people numb their trauma with drugs, alcohol , entertainment, distractions etc rather than making use of that " dirty fire" If you want to clarify about your trauma and your goals we could develop this further.

Not very long, but I still learn things till this day @ZenSwift Generally the process is pretty straightforward unless you have some health issues or amalgams. consistently chelate, supplement, rest, adjust dose, repeat

What about as in " ruthless against his enemies ", and not his followers. Being overly compassionate may be counterproductive. I'm just pushing on that end of the spectrum to the maximum . We're obviously interested in the other side though. What must a leader be capable of doing to bring forward his cause/people even at the expense of other? Mass manipulate, create slaughterhouses, work with hitmen exploiting children, being disloyal, invading your country, burning down lands and destroying families, letting down weaker allies..." you're either with us or against us" mentallity Would you be willing to indoctrinate generations of children for your cause? Do public executions? Or terrorize/ threaten those who threaten your power?

@Thought Art From my pov, social skills and specifically power games tend not to be a very noble by default. I was trying to discern between what you may call " self-actualized leader " and " ruthlessly effective leader" A " ruthlessly effective leader" may be cutthroat, sociopathic, ice-cold, closeminded, a go-getter, win at all cost attitude, narcisistic, ideological, a chronic liar, exploitative, injust, deceitful, hustler (as in the dictionary meaning ), highly charismatic and persuasive regardless of the ethics of the cause, dangerous , power/control/wealth hungry , etc. So these would be at opposite ends of the spectrum. Just wanted to mention this side real quick. The question would be how to combine the best from both worlds.

I only like onyo tbh. All fruits are welcome if they are washed, peeled and spoon fed into my mouth

It's no imposter syndrome. As said before, fitting in is a natural survival mechanism. You've just noticed it recently and now it feels alien to you because you've located it in your unconscious instincts rather than as a conscious decision. It's like you've looked for the first time in the mirror and now you find weird the shape of your eyebrows because you hadn't noticed before... but its just the way things are. Having a reactive emotional state to some degree is the same thing, fitting in. If you want to fit in, you can hope you properly feel empathy and fear and laughter the same way as others if you dont want to be an outcast. Being autistic or a sociopath is generally not a good strategy for fitting in. It's best to be able to relate and connect emotionally with others. Therefore you've noticed another natural instinct of yourself as the modern monkeys that we are. Exagerated example, imagine laughing when someone is crying. Not very effective way to be accepted by the tribe. "Hiding your intelect" as a fear of people's disapproval of you is also a coping strategy to fit in and not stand out. In the end, as you develop your character and confidence , you become more grounded and you stop caring less and less about fitting or the approval of others

@AJBrew Well yeah, any meditation practice can potentially destabilize your life as you turn inwards and observe the mechanisms of your mind, it's no joke. You are mixing up self image work with consciousness work. They may be intertwined but they're not the same. Fitting in is a natural survival mechanism. Ofc people you spend time with end up influencing how you behave and what you belive. Same with culture, you're a fish surrounded by water. It sounds like your identity is not very grounded yet and you're relying on willpower to keep your center of gravity, which inevitably eventually fails. You also lack skill over your emotional state and drawing state from within, therefore you experience that fluctuation. Hang around better people and avoid what is absolutely against your values. How strict you want to be with this is up to you. Your identity has a centre of gravity right now. You can clarify it to yourself and then you can consciously slowly steer yourself in your desired direction. This takes time. Identity has homeostasis and you will not be able to switch a lot very quick or you will experience ego backlash. Meditation and consciousness work take you in the direction of metaphysical insight. Insights into the nature of mind, ego, thought, direct experience, no-self, THE self, etc It's not the same as self image and building your character / becoming grounded in your personality. You can think of them as somewhat oposed actually. -
Bump. It's decent.

Can you be more specific? Fitting in is one of many survival strategies. Your identity is not rigid and can be changed over time but it has inertia. Your physical and social environment also constantly shapes you and is prone to keeping you the same.

Do you mean " good leader " or "Good leader" ? because I'm pretty sure we can come up with plenty of not so noble qualities ?

It may seem like a no-brainer at this point, but downloading a simple app that allows me to track my spendings / savings and categorize them / jot down notes has strongly impacted my money skills for the better. As is expected, the observer effect also shows here. The fact that you track your finances affects your finances. What are your money habits like?

I was really hoping you would elaborate this point into Freeganism. Also one of my neighbors took your advice last year and looted my avocado tree

Find more authentic goals. Being a little lost is a normal part of the process. You and every other human being care about some things more than others. Specify their importance to yourself. Being unclear here is your worst enemy. This is a work in progress. You will most likely not nail it at the first try. Action, trial/error and then back to the drawing board. And I get the feeling that you specifically are at a point where you are extra confused. Don't take seriously some half baked silly ideas you may get. You may be very wrong.

Awareness itself . Try mindful meditation with labeling , do nothing technique or strong determination sitting. Check out some of Leo's olser vids. Also this belongs to meditation subforum for next time.
