  1. @Michael569 haha
  2. @Tony 845 18 may be too old, i was 15 when i started to learn about it, and i feel as if though that was the right age for me. it depends on the child, you should judge whether he is mature enough to handle knowing about enlightenment, if he isn't just give it time. but they should be aware of it by the end of their teens.
  3. OK WHEN IS THE VIDEO COMING I CANT WAIT ANY MORE
  4. @Tony 845 To answer your question, if your thinking about telling them about enlightenment, it would probably confuse them and even if it didn't, the judgement and ridiculation they would take on from other kids at school and other social environments if they talked about nonduality, would probably cause them to either drop your philosophy or it would make them feel confused, misunderstood, afraid,shy.. which would be the opposite of what you intended, which was for them to be peaceful, mindful, secure, content and happy. I suggest you do it in a subtle way, one where you teach them to value truth, to be skeptical about their own beliefs and thoughts, to instill within them a curiosity to find out what they are. But before you do any of that first teach them to meditate
  5. @Annoynymous maybe
  6. all the people that are successful and admirable and have achieved something great in their life tend to have an action oriented lifestyle, constantly achieving, creating, advancing, growing... I seem to have lost that while growing up.... I've been involved with actualized.org and Leo's videos for quite a while now, not only that, but i've been on the internet watching a variety of different individuals talk their perceptions on how to live life, i've read a few books here n there and although i am growing the growth is minimal i feel as if though there would be a more efficient way to go about this growth that im experiencing. I find myself 95% of the time stuck in mental masturbation, and it's gotten to the point where everything i hear is just starting to repeat itself. "i wanna take action!" i've said that literally hundreds of times this past year, and i never seem to actually take action, i'm not generating any results, I just keep watching the videos, jacking off my brain... tips on how to get out of this rut?
  7. @TheAvatarState i cant stand his face, but its a good video
  8. I was in a half asleep sleeping state, i remember very vividly the happening of the dream or whatever it was, i was standing in a dark room, and suddenly i felt the void with in my chest sucking me in, it felt peaceful at first, but then my heart started racing and i was in instant fear and shock a very primitive state i've felt a few times in my life, i felt like i was an animal being hunted, i woke up then. That day, i had the one of the shittiest days of this year, i completely disregarded my diet and ate freely, i was extremely angry throughout the day and irritable and got nothing done, i got myself in a lot of trouble.. I realize that this was a huge ego backlash, because my ego reached a point where it was about to die, and then it did everything possible not to, and that day it was trying to reinforce itself. do you think that this is really what happened to me? and how could i go about my enlightenment from here?
  9. bought it last week, its 35 bucks and saves you a whole lot of money and energy, because if you didn't have it as a guide, you'd waste that money on shitty books you expected were of some value.
  10. @CreamCat hey im sure thats factually flawed there is a difference between 100iq vs 150iq individuals. if you where to argue that there wasn't much difference between 100-110, sure i would agree.
  11. I don't think iq tests are accurate, try taking multiple different tests daily for a period of time and then average them, since your intelligence is influenced by your state, and some days your state is absolute shit, and others your smarter. At the end of the day if your iq is a 100, it shouldn't mean that you can't pursue your life purpose, and if you want to cognitive performance, you should eat a keto diet, as well as get involved in a lot of learning.
  12. Im gonna get to the heart of this story,It feels as if though i've gone through stages Orange & Green within a 2 year period. So i feel as if though, i didn't progress through them properly. I was never an orange egotist, But i have some core Orange values, like the want for success, wealth and looking sexy , but that's literally about it, I value money, but only as a resource to afford projects to help create a more efficient world. I was never a green vegan or social justice warrior but deeply understand and value greens concern for all life and the planet, I also value human connection and finding fulfillment through relationships and friendships, but then again i've experienced deep connections with people, but i think of it to be purposeless other than for the reason of feeling secure and fulfilling that survival mechanism within you to feel connected to the tribe. I really feel alone, i understand the people around me but really can't partake in any of their traditions, or rituals, it feels incongruent. I think i've Leaped through Orange and Green, and gotten the main lessons from the both, but never got to go fully into them then transcend them. Am i really in Yellow? I have many doubts, I don't think I would have the same mindset i have now if i had gone through the stages fully. Im currently reading the official Spiral Dynamics book, to help me tackle this issue. Let me know your opinions.
  13. @Sahil Pandit Yes i authentically want to improve my dating and relationship skills, but as i said, i want more than just that, I want to also advance spiritually as well as work on various different projects and be effective at them.
  14. @ivory do you also mentally jerkoff all the time like me?
  15. @Sahil Pandit Well there's this girl that keeps hitting me up, i could go about getting into relationships for starters. But i want to pursue multiple things at once.
  16. @ivory I think that's quite evident,my motive is to grow, and advance myself. Kind of Orangy
  17. @Sahil Pandit well i've got so many things that i wanna do and i've got no clue where to start, and that's mainly because i'm just a mental masturbating, and getting that reward system fed by watching the videos, or reading the books. I wanna: start a business, create value, get a gf/advance my dating skills, start my music career, meditate a lot, pursue enlightenment, get in shape, finish my studies, make a whole lot of money.... The list goes on
  18. @Rilles i liked the story but not the way it was graphically designed, and yellow also has his own perspective just like all the others.
  19. @CreamCat i have to work on my writing to make it more understandable. neuroticism isn't the things you are or aren't aware of, it's how you feel towards them, and how they affect your emotions. this might better explain my point: In the past i was battling some negative thoughts (As we all do) and i had used the strategy of "blocking negative thoughts and anything related to them" soon enough i realized that so much of my perceptions and understandings of things where linked to my negative world image. I found my self denying my word image as a whole, it made me feel ignorant and i started to behave in illogical ways just because i was avoiding a feeling or an emotional state. I now realize that there is value in being fearful and doubtful and that you should be aware of danger and threat, but i also understand that much of my fear and worrying was immature and preventing me from many things in life, so although i still see things through that negative perspective i added on to it positive perspectives, kind of like i build on what was already there. I hope that was a more understandable reply
  20. @CreamCat also, listening to Jordan Peterson videos on neurosis is like reading a vaguely written instructions manual on how to build a house, meanwhile you already have a house but want to rebuild it. : You get the rough picture, but the details are not quite there, and also it doesn't take into consideration the house you already have and how you can build on it in order to achieve the house you want, but you know the end result. What i'm trying to say is, JP will give you a glimpse of what the end product will be but not how to get there since that is personal and you need to figure out that stuff on your own. Which Leo's Videos are really great for helping you discover the problem and building on it. Best of luc
  21. @CreamCat The root of neurosis varies from individual to individual but it often predicts how they behave. If you're decreasing your neurosis, you should be working on on your beliefs, thought patterns and monkey mind, nothing else. If you even manage to shift your beliefs and monkey mind in the right direction then automatically, you should be more driven, motivated and productive to achieve the things that motivate and drive you. If you're not driven and motivated and in result more productive then i'm afraid your neurosis tricked you, and it's still there, but now even stronger. Remember removing your neuroticism is like removing a part of who you are, the only real way to do that is to go that extra step to really, really understand it and see how it functions, and the results it generates, and then to finally accept it, and then to have a sense of empathy and warmth towards it but that should naturally come as you begin to understand it. That is the real and permanent way to cure neurosis. If you think you already did the above, trust me you haven't
  22. @xoxoxwillxoxox Same, the persons i shared it with usually felt disgust and irritation that i told them this would be of value to them.
