Let's say it is all created by our consciousness; for this experiment you still need an egg. Can you create the egg out of nowhere? No, so apparently your consciousness is bounded. How is it bounded? You need a chicken to lay the egg. So how is the egg created? Don't focus on concepts but go into your sense experience.

Of course one can dream of an egg, but we need an actual egg to perform the experiment. How do you get the egg?

Thanks for your reply, let me stop you right at your first sentence. Do you have a neighbour or someone in the neighborhood who has chickens? If so, go over there and ask if you can watch if a chicken lays an egg. Now if the chicken lays an egg, take this egg and do the experiment again.

I also see it much in this way. But does this mean that if duality comes from distinction that they are the same? Only in thought a duality is made through a concept. The self (subject) defines something (object) through a concept. The eyes through which you see can make a distinction. But your eyes are also atoms, just as the egg.

Okay you don't understand me. Explain to me what a duality is for you and what a distinction is? Why is a duality the same as a distinction for you?

First, there must be consciousness. Only then can a concept of consciousness arise. The mind is an instrument of consciousness through which thoughts are perceived. That which perceives this concept of consciousness is consciousness: that is you, and not the concept that you have about consciousness. In other words; from your consciousness you can not conceptualize consciousness, for you are consciousness. @Rilles lol thanks, I love family Guy.

Not true; I can make a distinction between an egg and it's environment, because i see the egg. That doesn't mean the egg is not in the environment or part of the environment, or that I create a duality. As I'm seeing it, not thinking it.

@Barry J there is almost no point in trying to get through to them, meaning non-duality believers. They strayed to far from reality, dismissing everything that is real. As they fully believe that their subjective world is the real world, that they created everything. Can't come back from believing you are god. Buddhism is different then non-duality though. In Buddhism they see that the ego creates a duality, but they don't see that it stands on itself. They see, through observations, that it is of dependent origin.

Unfortunately Alan Watts does not have full understanding of Buddhism. He also believes there is only it. He says that in a lot of videos. I try to explain the difference between it and itself in this topic from page 2; There is a lot you can do; investigate your experiences, reflect, investigate, reflect, investigate, reflect. @Leo Gura See how serotoninluve is doing this with SD here? Watch this video and also part 2, 3 and 4 on you. Note that he has a patronizing style, but that probably comes from his 30 years of believing in and following a non-dualist. According to what he says he also did psychedelics, Ayahuasca etc, I don't know if he does this in these videos. I know you can't do anything about it, I don't patronize you. I want to reach you. I know it is hard to see through your own beliefs, especially because of your experiences, you also have many followers who confirm your beliefs as their beliefs are based upon your beliefs and experiences which you spread, and then they experience the same because they believe in what they hear and see from you. Also your entire life and livelihood is based upon it all. Only pride stands in the way.

@Leo Gura I hope you will read the entire topic to get what I am trying to show you. I'm trying to help you in not straying further from reality and all the people you take along with you. You have become the truth; the manifestation of the believe in absolute infinity. Can you make a distinction between it and itself? Or is it only itself? I know you're already doubting your believes yourself, as I saw doubt in your eyes in your last video which I didn't see before.
