Yeah but where do they come from? From interaction of the mind with reality. But in your eyes that is all an illusion right? So if you get out of the dream, which is actually going into the dream, you will not experience them anymore right? So if you stay in your consciousness (read your own mind) and not interact with reality (cause that is an illusion) you will be fine.. -

Can someone lock this topic? It has no use. -

No, but apparently this body has a problem with people trying to convince others of their beliefs. (No I do not, read the topic or the website I referred to.) Leading people, often with serious psychological problems, away from reality into fantasyland as the "solution" to all of their problems. Which looks great at first, but what happens in 5 years or 10 years? How do they cope with reality then? How to function in society? Or are they fully on financial support from those who can cope with reality? Maybe they have become fully isolated in their own worlds. But you all give advice as if you all know this is the solution. You have no fucking clue, the only thing you are holding onto is your beliefs. Everybody should experience this fantasy magic place. Who cares where they are at in 10 years. It is fantastic now in your bubble. Others just don't see it the way you do. One should ignore emotions because they are just appearances.. tha fuck. Everyone will become a shell of a human, living only in their own minds. But who am I? I am not your savior, so I am out of here. -

If this is the case, is it then okay if I come to your home and hit you with a baseball bat on the head until your brains pop out? Your awareness will prevail right? Pain is just an appearance right? I can also put you down with some morphine first if you are scared for the pain. After this you can tell me all about the experience you had. -

I can imagine only meditating being very hard. Maybe this website can help you: http://www.foundationsofhumanlife.com It explains the dependent origin of the self and reality, as thought by Buddhism, from a logical perspective. Easier to understand for the Western mind. You can combine it with meditation. -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Here is you twisting it in something else. I don't believe in a truth. If I would believe in a truth, that would presume there is something that exists on itself to have knowledge about. As everything is of dependent origin, there is nothing that exists on itself. You think you know my perspective, but you have no idea. no brain bleeding (brain functioning) -> conscious brain bleeding (brain not functioning properly) -> unconscious Stopped brain bleeding (brain functioning properly again) - became conscious again -

Whoop there is a metaphor again. Aristotle thought too much. I see people on this forum constantly dropping quotes from so called experts. That is to say, why would you post them if you don't believe them? -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Dude, I was unconscious for 3 weeks because of a bleeding in my brains, why they could not function properly! That is not an argument. You come up with arguments. How can you all skip this or try to twist it in something else? *The believe is apparently very very deep. Anyone else reading this who scratches his head? Or do you all have a glazed look in your eyes? -

Yeah only after I regained consciousness again. I wish I had free will so I could stop responding to this nonsense. -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No I was unconscious. In my deep sleep I am also unconscious. -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Consciousness transcends experience? What do you even mean by that? If I write experience I mean every kind of experience. Do you mean consciousness supersedes experience? -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Lol I just made that up, but thanks that you bit. Consciousness is aware of the lack of experience? Lol Consciousness is experience. For what are you conscious of if you don't perceive or experience anything? Infinite consciousness? And how are you conscious of infinite consciousness? Watch this to understand what qm is and where they are in their research; https://youtu.be/n984nd55BqQ -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
But wait I just thought something. Maybe it was just infinite consciousness which made me only experience unconsciousness, and I was not unconscious at all but just had no appearances. Therefore I only experienced nothing, while in fact it was just me experiencing nothing and infinite consciousness was still there. -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Have you read the website www.foundationsofhumanlife.com three times and reflected upon it? Qm has not proven anything yet, so don't try to outsmart me. And the theory does not deny matter. -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Dude, you're using a metaphor, which also makes no sense, to sustain your believe. I never said I remembered. I said I had no experience until I became conscious again 3 weeks later. This is classical defending a believe system. Read this website; www.foundationsofhumanlife.com And find out that I know all about dualism and non-dualism. But it requires you to confront yourself instead of just believing. That is a lot harder. -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I was unconscious, therefore I had no experience. Yeah the point is; we create our own reality, whether you call it reality or consciousness doesn't matter. But this reality or consciousness is bounded. To get something, most of us call an egg, in something, which most of us call a hand, you need something, a freaking chicken, to lay the egg. You can call it appearances or whatever the fuck you want to call it, doesn't matter. "It" is bounded, how is it bounded? That is what science tries to figure out. How did "it" came to be? Well apparently it is of dependent origin. You need an appearance of matter and gravity to "see" and "feel" the egg. You also need an appearance of space and time for the egg to be somewhere to be perceived. -

@Matt8800 Read the whole topic and see how here-now did the experiment. The only way to test if consciousness creates the brain or the other way around, is to keep hitting someone on his head while the energy in the brain is measured. If he loses his consciousness and there is still energy in the brain, the brain prevails. If he loses the energy in his brain but sustains consciousness, consciousness prevails. Who wants to volunteer? As you are all so convinced that it is consciousness who creates the brain you can do without right? But I guess no one really want to find out. Are you scared? I already know who wins. I was in a coma for 3 weeks, after an head accident I got a cerebral hemorrhage. Some parts in my brain did not get glucose and oxygen to sustain their processes. I became unconscious, but there was still energy in my brain. Therefore I know from experience that consciousness is of dependent origin. Have you experienced this? Or do you just believe consciousness created the brain? You all just got truly convinced, through your already adopted believes in infinite consciousness, from the moment you did 5-Meo-DMT (or any other psychedelic) and the brain could not process the input from the senses anymore, distorting your perception of reality. After this you thought, oh reality is an illusion, everything is created through my consciousness. Of course your perception of reality is created through your consciousness. But you only believe that reality itself is also. After the effects of 5-Meo-DMT wore off, of course your ego has died and does not return, so you keep an non-dual perception, but you regained normal consciousness as the normal balance of neurotransmitters in the brain restored. The sad thing is that I see Leo capable of seeing through his illusion, but he has already adopted so many followers who confirm his believe by believing themselves. So Leo does not reflect upon himself anymore. Thinking he saw everything, while he just saw half of it. @Leo Gura please read this topic, but you will probably keep ignoring me and reality. My attempts are hopeless. You are sadly all just sheeps following the shepherd. Also, it doesn't matter, if you guys are happy and can live for yourself by yourself that's fine. Not needing financial support from others who got their shit together and work to support you. Self-inquiry is egoistic by nature, especially if you don't get anywhere and are just a burden to others. Therefore I say goodbye. -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No I mean it is the other way around. Without the sky there would be no clouds. Without space and time there would be no sky. Without appearances infinite consciousness is empty. The only thing you feel then is the energy in your brain. The only way to test if consciousness creates the brain or the other way around, is to hit someone unconscious while the energy in the brain is measured. If he loses his consciousness and there is still energy in the brain, the brain prevails. If he loses the energy in his brain but sustains consciousness, consciousness prevails. I already know who wins. I was in a coma for 3 weeks after an accident. I was unconscious, but there was still energy in my brain. Therefore I know that consciousness is of dependent origin. Have you experienced this? Or do you just believe consciousness created the brain? Have you ever had the experience that you just fell asleep, you didn't dreamed yet, but someone woke you? Where was infinite consciousness then? Asleep? I will not put anymore energy into this. May you all be well, in infinite consciousness or reality. ? -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You believe that it is infinite consciousness. Therefore the egg for you is an appearance of consciousness. The experiment showed you that for the egg to appear it is dependent upon the appearances of matter and gravity. This shows that the appearance of it (consciousness) does not exist upon itself but that it is of dependent origin. If you however believe that infinite consciousness exists upon itself, like you do, then you can perceive or give meaning to this infinite consciousness through itself (appearances). So everytime you perceive an appearance you believe that it is an appearance in or of (infinite) consciousness. By doing so sustaining your believe. But infinity consciousness does not exist on itself, but it is an endless string of appearances and every appearance is of dependent origin. Therefore the infinite consciousness is also of dependent origin. Ask yourself this; what would you be conscious of if you would not perceive anything? If you think infinite consciousness, then how do you perceive this infinity consciousness? If you think through consciousness, you are exactly right. -
This is cult stuff right here. You are spinning the story the way you want it. Look I get what your saying but it is trying to ignore and form reality to your mind. That has nothing to do with broadening ones consciousness to deal with the harshness of life. But of course you don't see the difference. You believe in the things you say. You have not experienced your child being raped and you being still happy. It is just a concept in your mind that you can still be happy, if you believe it hard enough. There are enough cults around on this world, there will always be, so one more doesn't matter. The more people use psychedelics the more cults will arise. @Barry J they are beyond salvation man. Spare your time and energy. Look I don't know what you're searching for, but it is not easy to trust 'wise' people. Even so called Buddhist teachers abuse their students. Trust your senses and never doubt your feelings is all I can say. Else you are going to start to listen to the voice of reason. I am out of this forum, I hope you stay well.

Indeed, most questions now are about understanding the experiment. But I think we covered almost all of them earlier in this topic. So I can advice the people who still have questions to read the topic again, as it is all explained really. If you don't understand the experiment after all, leave it be. Or do you mean in the whole topic we are all talking about the same thing? Then no. -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No, the experiment is about how you can see, literally, that what you experience through the senses has a nature and that this is different than the believe you have. -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yeah dude but where does the egg come from? Do you lay the egg? Does an elephant lay the egg? This is an experiential experiment, not conceptual. So don't think about it, but do it. Where do you get the egg? Maybe you have one in your refrigerator. If not, you have to go to a supermarket or to a neighbour or friend who has chickens. If you have one in your refrigerator, how did it get there? Did you bought it in a supermarket? Where does the supermarket get their eggs? From a chicken farm. Go to the freaking chicken farm and see how a chicken lays an egg. Don't overcomplicate things in your mind, focus on what you experience through your five senses. The whole experiment is trying to find out if you can make this distinction. Read how 'here-now' did the experiment. @here-now can you help me/ him here? -
Emanyalpsid replied to The Don's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Serotoninluv Yeah so consciousness arose through your five 'physical' senses. After that your mind was able to comprehend the information from your five senses creating thoughts. -
Emanyalpsid replied to Emanyalpsid's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Rilles @Outer Please not that there is a difference between trying to understand it and trying to understand the nature of it. Trying to understand it; where does it come from? What is it? This is basically science and will never stop. Trying to understand the nature of it is about; How does it come to be? What constitutes it? Understand might also not be the best description. It is more about gaining insight; as a transcendental understanding. It transcends you and it, as you are also it.
