Hello everyone. Today I wanted to talk about my religion. I was raised up as half sunni half shia. I just discovered the existence of sufism and saw a thread about ''coming out as non-religious''. Leo said something about that you should tell your parents that you are converting to sufism, which is supposed to be ironic. Because he said: ''You'll actually be more of a muslim than your parents will ever be''. I don't understand this entirely. I couldn't find a good definition of sufism at all. Maybe it's just me, but the wiki page wasn't that clear. Can someone just explain to me what Leo meant with that? Leo also said that Muhammed meditated. Which stage was Muhammed in? I think you guys can understand that I look up to him, and seeing him not being in stage Blue made me instantly go to Orange (I was on the edge of Blue and this was a small push). Also where can I find proper information about this topic? I've put 1 book on my booklist about Mohammed, but I don't know if it will actually talk about on which spiritual level Mohammed was. Or just basic history which I have been told many times. Oh and was Muhammed on the same stage as Jesus and Gautama Buddha? Just curious.

@Amer I did and I still don't understand the things I said in my topic. I might have missed somethings, but I am right now watching the Spiral Dynamics mini-series so can't watch the Islam vid.
-
@thehero I looked it up but couldn't find any. Either way it wouldn't be that much of a problem to create a new one right? I also love Overwatch quotes, mostly Zenyatta's.

I wanted to make a thread where people can post quotes which inspire them personally. It's advised to give credit to the person/character who said the quote. I personally know only 1 quote, which is below. Feel free to post your own and maybe explain why it means so much to you ''Only through conflict do we evolve'' - Overwatch character Doomfist

Hello everybody. Today I wanted talk about the so called ''Alignment test''. I only know about this for a short amount of time and since I discovered actualized.org, I wondered what you guys would think about this. I will link it down below, but before that let me give you a quick list of what it is. This test is supposed to say what kind of human you are. You have the following categories: Lawful Good Neutral Good Chaotic Good Lawful Neutral True Neutral Chaotic Neutral Lawful Evil Neutral Evil Chaotic Evil Each have there own very deep definition. I can't go into detail here, because there's is an entire website dedicated about this. I could never summarize the amount of information that that website has. It might be just for me, because I recently discovered this while watching a YT video. It seemed like the guys in the video knew about it like it is something very old. It is, however I never heard of it. So I think the chances are that this isn't anything news. Anyways here is the link. Take care everyone http://easydamus.com/alignmenttest.html That link is for the test. You can find the explanation of each of the categories in the bar on the left.

Hello everyone. I am meditating for a month now I think. I have a problem though, the way I sit. Everytime I cross my legs I get a sleep foot. Then I am trying to get the right sitting for 30 min before I even start meditating. All I want to do is just sit normally for once and not get distracted by a foot who falls asleep for no reason. My left foot is always almost in the same position as my right, and he still falls asleep. I wonder how, considering that my right foot doesn't. I tried the lotus position and I can't even get into it. Like I am not agile enough. Do you guys know I practices I can try to be more agile? I always admired the lotus position, my body just can't get into it. Anyway that's all for now. Take care everyone.

Hello everyone. Today I wanted to ask you some questions if you don't mind. Maybe Leo can reply to this, but we'll see. I am currently stuck in stage blue. I am a muslim, so is my family. My father is shia and my mother is sunni. Don't worry. I don't want to identify as both. I actually don't want to identify at all, because in Leo's ''10 Important Things You Don't Know You Want'' video he said that I actually wouldn't want to identify. So guess what I am trying to do here (I really hope I am doing it right). I want to evovlve to stage orange and so forth. Although certain things I don't understand: Am I supposed to be skeptical and question God until I basically don't believe in him anymore? Leo said that I should read more about both stage blue and orange. You guys know any good books that talk about stage blue and orange? I am very young, would you guys advice me to go deeper into spiral dynamics? Somethings tells me I should put my focus on his book-list video. I already ordered ''Mastery'' by George Leonards. I am planning to buy all 6 books Leo talked about in that video and even more self-help books. My future is super important to me, but if I can also evolve as a kid should I also be doing that? As all teens I also have a crush. My religion doesn't allow it, altough it seems like stage orange is perfectly fine with it. If I want to evolve to stage orange should I just go for her? Is that necessary or just a nice thing which I now get to choose to? Don't worry I don't want to get into a serious relationship. Just knowing what kinds of girls are out there Oh btw, in case I should go for her. The next book I am ordering is ''The Five Love Languages''. Leo said that a lot of times whenever stage blue people accidentally reach enlightenment, they get scared of it. Would putting my focus on reaching enlightenment as a kid get me out of blue? I have no clue what enlightenment really is, but do you guys advice me going for it? Just in case it is important to know, I already meditate for 20 mins a day. So Mohammed was not Blue. Would it be wrong from me to trying to be at the same stage he was? I think you guys can understand that I look up to him. If I can experience life the same way he did I think I would be happier. (I always looked up to Gautama Buddha and it turns out that he wasn't blue too) This was all for now, take care everyone.

@njuufa Yes I think you are a sociopath. Yes I will use your method. Thanks

@Serotoninluv Inspirational story. If I get older I want to get into meditation groups too. Some people told me I should go on something called ''Vipassana retreat''. I looked it up and I don't think I can go for it now, but maybe later in my life. Anyway I am about to watch the Green video. I can totally relate about ''somethings that appeal to me and some not''. Although it's mostly ''not''. Btw, do you recommend giving up daily prayers in exchange for focussing more on meditation and reading self-help books? Since I've seen the Blue video, I can't find a reason to do prayers. How did you stop? Or did you stop at all?
-
@thehero As it turns out, atheism isn't my thing. Entire idea of worshipping science while religions must be false seems in my eyes just as bad as praising Allah till your death. Thanks for the advice though, but I discovered that I am more Green than Blue or Orange. Nice story though
-
@Serotoninluv I watched the video about Orange and I am half way through. I must say tho, I almost can't relate at all. Like genuinely I understand it when other people are like that, but I can't imagine me being like that. I haven't watched all of it, so maybe Leo will talk about the good sides too and maybe I can relate to that. Is there a chance I might be, for example, more Green and Blue than Blue and Orange? Is that possible?

Hello everybody. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions about this channel. It's called ''Charisma on Command''. The channel is all bout charisma and confidence. I wonder if you guys think that all the information it gives is actually useful. The video's are mostly about 10 minutes long. I personally am new to both that channel and actualized.org. I wouldn't have a clue if that channel gives bad advice. I will link some video's so you guys can maybe watch it a little bit or just tell me straight up if it's waste of time. Anyway have a nice day everyone, vids are below,

@Serotoninluv Thank you for your suggestions. I already have experiences with the shades of grey. I became interested in judaism, christianity and buddhism and saw good in all of them. I already have found much good about all those religions. I will try it with people in general. I notice on a daily basis whenever I judge too much, maybe I should stop doing that. Do you mean with obedience to rules and laws, in my case, the rules in the Quran? Or the general rules and laws in my country? I personally hate patriotism and so do not thinks as someone who doesn't. I have never felt that community feelings. I have been told since my youth that there is a heaven and hell. That the devil is sitting probably next to me watching me writing this. Thanks for the advice on creating a healthy Orange mindset. If I get more free time I will definitely watch the orange video and Leo's synopsis.

Hello everybody. Yesterday I watched Leo's video called ''Advice For High School & College Students - The Keys To Mastering Life''. I have a few question about this video. Some things didn't really add up in my mind. Leo said that I should cut out many things to avoid all kinds of illness. I understand that, but cutting out bread? What am I supposed to eat at school and in the weekends if I don't eat bread? Leo said that I should get more into relationships so I will have a general view of what kinds of girls are out there. Problem is however: my religion doesn't allow me. The Quran is very clear about 'no relationships unless marriage' type of thing. Although some of you may disagree, in Leo's Wage-Slavery video he said that I should get used to being alone. How am I supposed to do that when I also should have a girlfriend? Personally I am not that interested in girls. Yes some are cute sure whatever. I am not getting laid anytime soon for sure. The idea of being controlled in bed by a girl who can do whatever she wants just because your dick is hard makes me kinda sick. I mean I couldn't do that to a girl. And how vulnerable I would be makes me scared. Btw, I notice it if I don't think the same way as the people around me. And so far I only found one guy, my best mate, who is about the same way I am. Am I supposed to date a girl even though we don't share much personalities? Maybe some muslims can help me out about the Quran thingy if there are any on this forum. Anyway have a great day everyone.

@NoSelfSelf Alright I will watch them if I get more free time. Do you also know anything about my second question?
-
@NoSelfSelf I never said that without bread there is no food. I was just asking for alternatives.

Hello there again. If you have seen my previous post you know that I just started my journey and am very young. Yeah about that... In Leo's wage-slavery video he said that I was lucky if I found his video. Are there any other video's young people like me should watch? Are there any specifically beneficial ones out there for young people? I have already seen his video's about Body Awareness, Wage Slavery, What Is Spirituality, Understanding Islam (I am Muslim), Law of Attraction, 2 meditation video's, his self-actualization video and the Mindfulness one. I see many video's on his channel, but some don't interest me at all. Like the Ideology one. I just don't care about all of that. By the way about meditating: Leo made 8 video's I think which discuss meditation. I don't know if I am supposed to watch all of them or specifically a few to get a good insight of meditation without repetition of the same information. Oh I also want to start reading books. I saw his book list and after watching the self-actualization video I wanted to buy Maslows book. I don't know which one Leo referred to though. Keep in mind that I am young, so if you guys know if the book contains too much difficult words. Please tell me. Anyways have a great day everyone.
-
@Gabriel Antonio I can give you information about myself. I socialize on a regular bases (no shyness or anything). I have some friends, but rather be in the library where everyone is silent. I want to read more books there (including Maslows one). I sense the differences I have with the rest of my class and for that reason I only hang out with the nerd so I can get my grades up. He needs a friend (he is an introvert) and I need his guidance through mathematics. I follow my culture's traditional beliefs, although some statements about religion from Leo really inspire me. I have always been interested in Buddhism (the meditation part), spirituality and enlightenment. For now I think my dream is to become an astronaut.

Hello, my name is Ampresus and I am a newbie. I recently discovered Actualized.org when I did more research about the entire ''The Secret'' thing. He has a good video about it and I discovered that his channel isn't your typical BS self-improvement channel. Actualized.org has some serious good information. Anyway I am Muslim, I am very young (I won't tell my age because I don't know if you will get banned if you aren't over 18 years old) and I study the pre-university education. In his video about wage-slavery, Leo said that I am lucky to have found his video if I was young. He talked about how I should take leadership of my life, be comfortable with being alone etc. Here is my problem however, my age. My vocab isn't the greatest, especially in English considering that it's my second language. A lot of times I don't clearly understand what he is saying. Even though the video was supposed to be really helpful to someone who is young from age. I have many questions, but the main ones are as followed: Leo talked about taking a job which has massive value to the rest of humanity, such as designer, engineer etc. Is there something with astronomy which also has massive value? I want to explore space, but do it in my own leadership like he told me to. I am Muslim and Leo talked about us in his ''What Is Misunderstood About Islam'' video. He said that there is a lot of corruption in Islam. I wonder what things he meant. I would easily believe it if he said this about Christianity, but I want the solid hard truth that you guys have about Islam. Please give me examples and maybe solutions for Muslims to do about these problems. One thing I undestood that is had something to do with fundamentalism. But that problem isn't just in Islam.

@Juan Cruz Giusto I wanted to started reading from different sources, guess I don't have a choice now. I am familiar with Carl Sagan and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
-
@Serotoninluv Alright I will do both. Lets see where I get.
-
@Serotoninluv Thanks for your advice. Never knew a Moderator would react to my topic. I will think about what you said. I just started my journey after all. I will try to look deeper in my own mindset rather than thinking about other opinions.

@PsiloPutty Thanks for your compliments and yes I recently started meditating. I always admired buddhism and decided to start meditating myself. Leo taught me that there is so much more than some monks who become one with the universe. It's much bigger. I meditate 20 min a day like he said in one of his meditation videos.
