  1. I find Sam very open to possibilities expressed within many spiritual traditions, he just approach is it from a very vigorous scientific and materialistic standard, which I can relate to from my own experience.
  2. Thats a good a take away as any, and I guess after listening to it again, it is the overall message, the real short and sweat of it. . Although I'd say some of the felt intention behind the video was to point out how ones inner blah blah blah experience doesn't have to be paid attention to or felt so significantly. Not to say inner experience isnt great or relevant, but to show how one could let it go as well or make no importance of it, and in doing so free oneself from shit that seems important, but is actually just stressful or causing stress. Like a new tool that one can use, once understood or shown its possible, or pointed to as possible. I may make a follow up video going more into detail, but it seems like one can get wrapped in a myriad of notions around experience. For example one may be like, "hey, this is my feelings, they deserve respect or consideration and are thus important and need to be met" either by others or by ones own expectation of how they should feel or how they believe they should feel or how they believe how feelings should be base upon some rule of whats good and whats bad. Like for example a person may think if they feel unpleasant they are doing something wrong, or that their feeling unpleasant is some validation that they have it hard and go into some victim mindset or some slightly more positive societal mindset such as thats just life and its tough and rough, yet still on the downer side of things. Spiritual people may sit in feelings under the belief that if they move away or push away or do something to change their feelings, that they are breaking some Buddhist or "sit in feelings and be awareness rule", and as a result the possibility of being able to break free in spectacular and instantaneous ways are rejected, dismissed or more realistically unimaginable, since "they've learned this new way of being to help themselves or inherited these new idea's of right and wrong in relation to "emotions" or "thoughts", which again are not absolute.
  3. @Someone here You could say the "context" is "a something/nothing that includes context and non-context, is everything while everything is never anything solid or anywhere". Lol let that one sink in. Its pretty wild, and if you don't find the love in it, you will feel empty in the searching and trying to understand.
  4. If a god bites you as a snake, do you as god want to let it engulf and end the body/current adventure dream, or do you/god want to fight the snake/god off you and live another day so to say. None the less, chances are, without thinking, you will struggle and try to get it off you, but either way I think my answer gives you more depth to your question.
  5. Its a metaphor I've tried to be done and away with for the very reason its ultimately not true and confusing or perhaps illogical after understanding its all god, however its also useful since well it does seem that ego exists (and is also God), due to intentially reason, or of no intention, perhaps its just what happens when the God dreaming starts to end or shift to something new, and the structure that remains fights (ego). There was a guy who I don't recall the name of, but put a theory out that "ego" is just a bodily/brain thing that trys to maintain homeostasis and life, when the body/brain structure changes, homeostasis is in flux/changes, what was there before dies to replace/shift into this change, and there is a fighting for its life/structure (ego). As awareness you witness and experience this fight and it feels like a personality attack or craziness or like "your" dying or changing, but in reality, its just processes shift (which you also are). It was something like that, perhaps with a little of my own understanding thrown on top, but I like something about it. Also, God in its all loving core, doesn't seem to prefer comfort or non-comfort, pain or pleasure, but it seems to reasonable to say, as a Human dream, it very favorably prefers feeling pleasure and comfort, although I could see a strong argument against this as well.
  6. @Wisebaxter Your welcome. You also may find some fruit in examining why is being present important? Whats wrong with thought, mind chatter, being distracted and consider if these idea's that come up are true and useful. Or are they thoughts and beliefs such as, if I don't I won't be enlightened, I won't find that which will make me feel better or be better?
  7. Pretty cool man, ya aliens, spirits, angels, mysterious forces are out there interacting with us and many others, even though ultimately its all God. Its pretty wild when you go into these realms, non-duality teachings and teachings that lack this aspect can sometimes dismiss or poo poo, these things, but they are as real as anything.
  8. 100% yes, but you'd also be missing a infinitude more stopping there with just that logical understanding.
  9. Perhaps try this instead or in conjunction with what your practicing. When its noticed that your back in thought and unconscious, become curios that your aware when this happens and when its happening. If you were really unconscious and lost in thought, you would not be aware of so, but You are. Become curious when its transitioning from "mindful" to "unconscious" and notice, that your always present between the supposed two polar opposites. Play around with that and report back in a while, see if anything interesting shifts. Send me a message if you have any questions after doing this.
  10. What I'm sharing and what your asking are really pushing the boundaries of my current depths and understandings, so I'm not great at fully communicating these matters, nor am I a sure I can put this communication in language, but I'll try and maybe I'll use traditional metaphors to hopefully convey what I mean. Neither resonate more. But I do think each has their place at the right time. I think when you do deeply understand on some level that God is prime and by extension of this understand you understand you are thus God, the "You are dreaming/imagining x, y, or z" make more sense, but still there's subtlety in what this means to each awakener confronting this realization, the bounds of which I do not know. For example one awakening to such could see this to mean, they are an alone entity dreaming, which still is concept in my opinion, or another could feel dreaming is happening as a broad entity that is fully connected, but not by a in the moment willing intention, like a human may feel like they are up to when they concentrate continuously on a burning flame, or the awakener could feel like a broad entity that isn't experiencing concepts and experience referred to as "alone" or "together" but understands what ever moment to moment happening is taking place is Gods manifestation. I also think if said awakener is say a Alien of some sort, there will be aspects that are radically different in so called moment to moment experience that may shed Truth on things that are not accessible to a human awakener, even though ultimately neither human or alien is a actual subject taking place. Which again comes to a subtle, but perhaps radical difference in how I see and thus communicate, in comparison to Leo (even though there are perhaps more similarities than not), is God "in control" imagining, or God arising in a particular coconscious/unconscious kind of manner that both learns, adapts, and wills stuff into existence. And as I type this, I can't help but feel its neither of these absolutely, but something that could be said to encompass them all, yet is not bound by nor limited to such graspable notions as this incarnation/mind/human body is only able to imagine (and yes even though these don't actually exist as any particular things). We are all being done by god, and yet this to is a limited idea, perhaps enforcing notions called "determined", "not in control", "arising, "happening". Really a paradox of paradoxes, that isn't a paradox. I think the things we can ultimately take away with certainty as awakeners is nothing is ever out of place or wrongly happening or happened, this event is eternal, and Love is intricately intrinsic. And perhaps one that I don't always like to let in, is that it "may" not always feel smooth, easy or pleasant, and that when it is this way, its not a sign of imperfection.
  11. Ya the "creating" reality as using some sort of will is not something I say I've seen, yet I know its one of the many possible vantage points of possible "God" experience available as itself through intuition. I would also argue that symbolic idea's such as "alone" or "all there is" are just that, imaginations or happenings of "God or Mystery or what ever symbolic name". I do believe I know what your getting at when you say a sovereign/Being Mind/aloneness of god, however this has no actual experiential meaning or experience in and of itself, its just words and pointers (as I'm sure your aware of). There is no objective meaning to the words nor the fact that there is only You, and yet its true, there is only God, Eternal, Love, Perfection. And yet as I'm also sure your aware of this recognition of God can have life changing effects. But to elaborate more, just like it could be said before awakening to God as All, there obviously seemed to be a sky over the earth that rained and through inspection and examination it dawned on you that this "sky over the earth statement and experience" doesn't have any objective experience or meaning, it could be experienced as "Wow" or "Meh" (emotional experience) or "Wow, thats really amazing, and significant that it generates rain for us biological beings to drink and survive" (emotional and meaningful experience in relation to a believed body/mind on a planet). So, in much the same ways, there is no static objective, inherent meaning to God "alone", its a statement pointing to a fact but the quality of what that is in understanding, knowledge and experience is Lovingly deep, and gets me back to my original reason for sharing this in my original post. The word choice "alone" and perhaps other pointers and idea's such as "just you", "imagining", I feel are pointers that may more often than not, enforce notions of the human alienation experience and beliefs that their human isolated mind is imaging existence, which is not the experience of connection or Love/God. I ultimately don't know, but wanted at least put it out there.
  12. I see where your coming from and perhaps have not had the insight that has given you such conviction, but I also wonder if there is some micro subtle difference in our understanding and or expression through language about God. 100% agree that "other" is a false notion, but what I'm also seeing in this is "alone" and "only" can just as much collapse as logical concepts. Perhaps we could say they are on all on the symbolic level something that has a meaning of some sort to the human mind, even though absolutely there is no human mind. I also wonder if the difference of seeing of and understanding of God that we may share comes from how I see a tree growing, not of its own intention, but of its own design. I see God, that which was never created, nor fundamentally created itself, as a tree growing both you could say "unconsciously or by a design that it never made, simply aways has been", and "consciously", as well as both learns about itself, and is also a mystery to itself in its ever infinitude.
  13. @Leo Gura I made a video on this subject a little while ago and I'm curious of your thoughts on it, more so on the second part of the video (feel free to skip to 5:05). The notion of God being alone, from a God point of view, wouldn't you say that its just as much as an imagination/idea/experience for God arising as say never being alone, or "being" in such a manner as not thought or experienced as neither alone or not, not alone? I feel that hammering the idea of "alone" and the symbols that this means for many, reinforces an unhealthy idea of solitude, especially for "supposed seekers" who are already dealing with this egoic false idea of loneliness? Maybe, maybe not? Just curious.
  14. Not a easy topic to be honest with oneself sometimes, but for serious practitioners, it may be of use to inspect and inquire.
  15. I'd say be aware of the caution I mentioned and experiment. Id say try again in a few days, and then wait a day and then try again if it does feel to raw. Then continue with it, knowing that some strange unpleasant and hard stuff "may" come up, and to not do anything radical or stupid during these times.
  16. Just be mindful with this stuff, if your just doing this stuff for the first time, be conservative, like I wouldnt do it again for a few days, let yourself integrate. I also found that with this stuff that sometimes this stuff your letting go of will resurface and try to fight its way back and you'll feel like acting this stuff out. Do your best to remain calm and not freak out or do something you may regret the next day or moment, when it passes
  17. Its sometimes hard to practice gratitude if you don't know what you have, until you lose it. So I find it a good reminder question sometimes to look into how I would feel if I lost, my loved ones, job, life, anything that I sometimes take for granted. This seems to sometimes "trigger" genuine gratitude.
  18. Another thing that may be helpful is to realize that when the thoughts or images of "your body" are happening, to simultaneous see, that this is noticed, and as a result, as being noticed, you are not them. This isn't something you need to think about, just notice, when the thoughts of body images are happening, its being noticed as they happen......some might call this awareness. This awarness is You, but your not in control of this, awareness is just awareing, always aware, with no action necessary. Actions may feel like "doing", and at other times, it may feel like "not doing", but this isn't important either way, just notice and let go into awareing, let "doing" and "not doing" feel as they do when they do, and one could say unfold without getting caught up in figuring out am I this or am I that, am I doing or not doing, in control or not in control.
  19. @longusername12345 How are you feeling now? Sometimes this type of shit is not easy to experience, but generally fades, and sometimes leaves a lightness of being as a result.
  20. I made a video response to this question, thought it may of be of use.
  21. This is by no means a be all end all philosophy or statement trying to encompass everything in the domain of Reality, but I do feel it's worthwhile information that can help shift the normal minds way of thinking. I go into some idea's of how language/thinking create a way of seeing that is thought of and seen as separateness. Brief, perhaps to brief, but none the less may spark what I'm talking about in you. I also go briefly into a philosophy of perfection (although perhaps closer to Truth, but thats for you to discover). You may notice upon examination of your own way of general thinking, in relation to this one posed, is that life/events/yourself and the way of thinking/thoughts that are happening creates a problematic, lacking or at odds with type of experience.
  22. That’s great. However with your coach and therapist I’d just let t all out. Their job is not to judge you and it may feel relieving to be honest. They may point to something in your vulnerability that is useful in accomplishing what you ultimately want.
