This is a very great, convincing and well thought out "theory", probably more able to be shown and demonstrated through external verifiable examples then most Spiritual Models. However its important to honestly let in its still a "theory" or a "model" to try and describe what's experienced or experiencing and came about from the ability to process and experience itself (which the theory claims is the brain producing such experience). So, funny enough, if you actually let in this theory 100% you'd come to something very near non-duality and surrender the belief of being someone individual. If you took only brain being prime of whats consciousness and all preception, you'd arrive close to the conclusion that "you" aren't there and its only the brain producing consciousness and the "you" thinking its something doing something is the brain producing the illusion/experience. So in a way, just relax, since your not there and its only the brain happening. However, the theory wouldn't explain as Leo is pointing to and rightfully so perhaps that it doesn't explain where or how the brain happened to allow consciousness to happen or where anything came from, but then again no ones here talking or needing to come to that conclusion because the "Brain" hasn't or isn't doing that right now.......so again nothing to get stressed or tied up in, since its all brain and nothing could ever be not brain or a fault of some or something. All goods and bads would just be brain happenings.... @Leo Gura @Serotoninluv -

I made a video on this, you may find something useful in it. -

Really interesting read, thanks for sharing, I always appreciate your perspectives you've shared in the past. One thing that I'm not sure I've heard you share or talk about and am curious of your experience with, is the area of surrender, to just be with so called not-joy, not-happiness. One could say the so called normal mundane experience and sometimes or often downer experiences, but seen and understood without the judgements of better or worse, more ideal or less ideal then the so called important cultivated states or desirable happy, joyish fulfilling states, and to not relate to these uncomfortable experiences in such a way to make them different or oneself different to then be able to handle them in a more desirable way then just as they seem...... And I say seem, because honestly what actually IS any particular so called experience...... -

Umm you are in communication with this? What have you been told, guided, understood? This energy is no joke. I'd be really understanding of what you want before you play around with unleashing this energy inside of you. If your just going in for shits and giggles and feeling like "oh whats the worst that could happen, lol" I'd head a warning of respect, this stuff can become really unfunny real quick. I'd only suggest doing this exploration if you can accept having to face stuff that could possibly be very uncomfortable for periods. Sometimes a lesson or transformation can take a few months, and during that time there can be really intense days and energies, some that may be terrifying, and others really awakening and pleasant and heart opening. If you can't accept that, don't do it. You have had some non-dual experiences it sounds like and it didn't terrify you......that does sound like a good sign that you may be prepared somewhat for awakening type lessons. IF its something you want to find a little more about, don't be forceful and respect your limits, let it come when it comes and don't try to make it come more or force more. -

I know how you must feel, this kinda stuff wether its brain stuff or awakening stuff or both. I've been in your situation and it lasted a long time, some times more intensely and at others it was far less annoying and interfering as it felt at the time with living a "normal" life. I think the best way to approach this is from both angles. If its brain damage that your worried about, what can you do, and if its awakening, what can you do? My guess is its most likely awakening stuff. And if it is, I suggest taking the time to just accept your situation in some way that you can accept. Life itself can be fair, challenging, a struggle at times, and sometimes what seems to be unfair, we're never really sure what phase we are in or whats around the corner. The rich could lose their money, the healthy could catch a dangerous flu or disease, the popular and attractive could get in a unforseen accident. You are where you are, and it sounds like a lot of your pain is worry about something happening again or never going away. Are you 100% sure it wont go away or going to stay? If not, just let it be the best you can and live your life, and when it gets challenging just calmly tell yourself that you'll get through this because all things change. If your brain damage worry keeps you geniunly worried, then go find out how you can check. If you can't or its actually not possible to determine. Then no need to keep your attention on that, right? Feel free to message me, I've been in your shoes and have helped others in similar situations. -
Hi Who ever said that you should of stuck up for yourself and had a good come back, or fought back? You, society? Did you just feel like a loser because you thought you should of and because you didn't you then thought you were weak, scum, loser, the worst. Honestly perhaps doing so would of made things worse, perhaps it could of lead your life in a whole different direction that you or I couldn't possibly predict, right? I hope you can follow me with what I'm pointing to, you were young and had ideas of yourself. People did shitty things to you and it effected you and your self worth. Perhaps you can find it in yourself to forgive them and forgive yourself for the shit and shame you put on yourself. I don't know of any way to change the past, but you can let it go and forgive that time, them, yourself and stop telling yourself now you have a boundary problem, that your weak now because thats who you were and must still be. Does any of that make sense?

How long has this been going on? From what I've read, and experienced myself, these types of re-orientations and transitions can take time and be very challenging. It at times can feel like a psychotic break down as there's a acknowledgement of dissolving, yet being present none the less. Feelings of spacy, not able to access thinking or think coherently, overwhelming emotions such as anger, fear, depressiveness. Was this something that came about after doing something for a while, or just out of the blue? If so what happened? The more you share the better I can possibly help.

@Shiva My bad, the name threw me off. But really what is it to male or female? lol
-
Great to hear, what did you see? And good on you for looking to honestly about the Shiva thing and seeing how maybe there was something to learn.

All interesting what you wrote and hypothetically true. But the beauty of what you were getting into your paragraph about "knowing" is something that is tangible to discover instead of hypothetical. You may of felt like or pondered it hypothetically but to really let in what you were saying and if you can do that, include what I added in, because those would fall under the area's that are all speculation since "base reality" is yet to be established, and like you got to all things past that are just hypothetical, including such notions as God and what that means, idea's of single separate people and things, idea's of "having" idea's or being someone who thinks idea's such as these shared here, idea's such as nondual or unity or division or Great Nest..... All unestablished, and yet this remains...... Whats being pointed to here will either blow your mind, create an idea that I'm crazy, cause the biggest freak out possible, cause pause or haha anything really......

I can feel you have some depth in what you say and your heart is in a good place here. You honestly remind me of myself in a lot of ways. While its past any importants to me at this point and perhaps Shiva, I did think you jumped the gun on your conclusions towards Shiva's reasonings. But I can see that you wanted to protect someone who maybe as you saw it was vulnerable and needed a response more heartfelt, and to that I say thank you, this is to be admired. Look forward to more of what you may have to share.

Hmmmm, honestly and I'm not sure exactly what her background beliefs were when asking the question. But what you just shared is very deep and is something I wouldn't mind building off of if you don't mind. Are these your beliefs about knowing? Or some new insights you had while taking it upon yourself to dissect into strongmanings Shiva's believed point? The paragraph you posted is in line with a way of looking into mind structure that I've been slowly trying to articulate myself and feeling into how maybe it could be used in some potential teaching I may offer on top of what I already do. If you really really really let in what you just typed, wouldn't this notion that you arrived at towards the end of your paragraph, also include knowledge/the idea of someone such as a "you" or "I" making decisions or not making decisions. Wouldn't this include also notions or idea's of a God in or out there or as oneself. If you really let that in, whats really left..... If there's no original knowledge to build a premise from, which includes a notion of God (including notions of being inside or outside or One), includes notions of an individual you typing now through volition and idea's coming solely from some independent creation your doing, some notion of God being the guider of such actions. Also includes notions of an individual you on something called a solid planet within a supposed universe. Includes idea's such as Other people and things, includes fundamental beliefs such as Ego and your Ego and Mind and your mind and your thoughts, again notions, as you've said that have no current proven knowledge to build such notions from. Does letting in such notions creating a silencing force or does thoughts emotions and chaos ensue?

@RevoCulture Sorry I didn't go into detail because I was thinking you read shiva's prior post to mine, which explained things more clearly and were in line with what I was seeing as well. here it is if you didn't read it. 14 hours ago, RevoCulture said: In your message you are doing what, unfortunately, others do and making this zen like quip... this paradoxical point.. "how can YOU know "knowledge, it can't be known and on and on" It is a weak form of discourse but we all offer what we have.. So you signature text claims that you know what "knowledge" is or at least have defined idea and from that position the rest of the "we must apply etc is carried forward... Shiva said: Wow, you are really interpreting a lot into those few words. To put things straight: My signature is a Bruce Lee quote that I find pretty cool. Nothing more. I didn't overthink it. I'm not claiming to know what "knowing" is just because I put it there. That's a ridiculous and absurd accusation. In the context of this threat, I find that it is just common sense to wonder "how do we know that we know". I'm not trying to be a guru giving you zen-riddles, if that's what is bothering you. I'm not "spiritual" and I don't intend to be. You are projecting that onto me. 14 hours ago, RevoCulture said: It is a weak form of discourse but we all offer what we have.. Shiva said: Wow, this is just incredibly arrogant... Shiva seemed to me just to be originally asking the individual what is knowing? Perhaps to stimulate introspection. This then derailed into some idea you seemed to have of Shiva regarding her quote and the question and how the two somehow connected to point to Shiva's character or game she was playing.

Sorry man but you seem so off base with your accusations on this one. I've read through your little interaction and you've seemed to have made up a bunch of stuff that wasn't said and interpreted certain actions to mean things that you just assumed. If your truly the spiritual refined one you seem to insinuate in your past replies this is a perfect time to take a look at yourself in what took place here and maybe grow.

I use to think so, but if you realize you don't know who or what you are, then can you really say you know that you dont know? Really let that in for a moment.

But what part of this was a intention or a choice and not just an unfolding behind the curtain of experience. -
Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but this video really stuck out to me, pointing to something so important to find peace of mind and self-understanding. Tom's a rather controversial rapper at this moment stirring the pot on issues so many people are struggling with and in my opinion giving broader views that hopefully will help people become more understanding (and yes some of what he does may be seeking fame or attention and making money). Check his videos out if you like him, he's pretty refreshing in the rap industry.

You mind expanding on what you mean by passion can be cultivated? I'm curious what you mean by this. In my experience, you either are passionate for something or your not. Take for example the classic example of a person may need to suffer a lot in order to get to a place where the question and interest in say "why am I suffering and why have my dreams not lead me to the happiness I was hoping" before there is a passion or say a possibility to pursue spirituality. I've always wondered about this idea that passion and desire can be cultivated. Or do you mean that once you have a incline toward something, the more you give to that the more it grows? -

My response may be a little counter to the traditional answers you will find here, and again maybe not. You sound like you know what you want and dont want, so why not just live that way? Yes awakening can happen without any contemplation or practice. if you dont want to experiment, don't. If you do, do. I'd suggest really looking into every detail you call this "rat race" you feel like your in and what would it mean to be out of it, FOR YOU. Then see if you can do it. I'd also really be honest with your life and ask yourself is it really so bad, are you taking what you have for granted, could it get worse, like lose your sight, legs, arms worse. If so, let in the joys of what you have and what it provides you. So easy to get lost in what we don't have or it not being just perfect the way we like it. -

Quoted like a person who believes the illusion that its all meaningless. You say this like you know something, yet you say you don't. Find some love man before you believe it doesn't exist. -
Perhaps this will help if it has not been said, since I haven't read every post in this thread just the majority of your interaction with Serotonin. I believe Leo has said he is moving away from certain content to focus on this new presentation of content, because that is what he feels more in touch with and compelled to do. In regards to your feed back based upon your perception of how the old used to be and the new is now, perhaps those that are in touch with the new content feel the same way about the new stuff that you felt about the old stuff and the old stuff like you feel about the new stuff. This can be the nature of reality and connecting with a teacher, message, a climate of a region, valuable movie, a preferred way of living or a society. Leo's stuff is not going to connect with the majority at this point in time, this does not mean its more advanced or better or where things are supposed to get to or be, its just not in line with how things are in this place and time. Maybe this means there's a person out there that is going to connect with you more and elevate from what you connect with now. This is the nature of life and teachings and learning and being. Hell there are life lessons without a body, but no ones going to learn those here where bodies are, but someone may be able to speak about them none the less, there would just likely be a very small audience of interest.

Hold my hand and take a journey with me into yourself. Is there actually a problem in the noticing of what you just shared and is there perhaps a belief somewhere from your spiritual readings that such activity is not how things should be, or is not what a so called enlightened person would live like? What do you mean exactly by improve and whoms eyes are you trying to improve for? If its your own, what do you want, if its another, is it important for you to improve in their eyes and are you willing to do it, if not thats ok? Theres no wrong answer here. If you do not know of intuition, relax, it may not exist, and if it did, so be it. Don't feel like there's a problem if its nothing that comes your way, you still have what you have. -
Mu_ replied to Raptorsin7's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Its not easy, but don't overly force yourself to push. Just acknowledge the case, let go in baby steps, don't judge yourself thinking it means something that this is the case and relax. In time things will dislodge naturally and perhaps at times you may want to push a little into a healthy uncomfortability zone to show yourself its ok still, its just fear, its just anger, its just uncomfortable, none of which ultimately mean something about us as a whole, but may be understood that perhaps there's trauma on some level of the psych and there's a time story based reason. And perhaps this will even be seen through in some way.... Your doing good, keep with it.
