  1. I was just having a fun conversation with my friends on facebook and we were talking about art. I teasingly asked my friends this question - what is art? am I art? ?? The other question was kind of a joke though, because the answer is obvious. ? Well, one of the friends is centered at stage green thinking and she immediately replied, that I am an egotistical idiot and that I should look into the mirror and stuff like that I didn't take it seriously, but I kept asking her more and more to maybe achieve some interesting dialogue, but I didn't. I asked her to tell me what is art and then prove, that I am not art, and she simply said, that it is her opinion and that we live in a world of freedom of speech. This made me laugh, but it also made another question arise: (It is not like I am trying to make everybody think that I am a piece of art or some shit like that, it was just a weird joke) Could it be, that some people are holding these opinions as sacred, therefore causing them to be unable to think more deeply, especially stage green people? I am not against freedom of speech, God bless we have freedom of speech, but maybe we should be more strict with defining meanings? Is it ever useful to strictly define a meaning? When is it useful, how is it useful? Just trying to find some good questions to contemplate on. What do you guys think?
  2. @Dan502 Sure, that's probably true. But I like to use anything as an opportunity to learn you know, sometimes you can find good questions to contemplate while talking with an unintelligent person and I also don't feel like being superior to anyone. Let's move this thread towards the other questions:
  3. @traveler I don't know an asnwer to this exactly, but sometimes the „spiritual“ path is much more „normal“ than we make it to be.
  4. @Apparation of Jack Nah, we were just joking. Stage green comes with this I feel like a girl, even though I was born a boy. They listen more to their feelings and opinions. An orange thinker would tell you, that they can „measure“ your gender.
  5. Does it really have to be pain? Do you need to suffer in order to unleash your potential?
  6. Yes please, I like to get down to earth with the videos once in a while
  7. What do you want to achieve in life, joy or suffering? Try something and see what happens. I assume that you aren't satisfied with your emotions, that's why you are asking - it might be beneficial to try a different approach. I had this similar problem for a long long time myself, even now sometimes... But I guess you are just making it grow even bigger by thinking.
  8. Memory is a survival mechanism also in a way. There are many amazing artists who write poetry, produce movies or stories to influence other people and then in the next generation, people go and say: Oh my god, this person did it for someone like me! Is that possible?
  9. @ColdFacts This post just seems like you are protecting your self-image, trying to come up with some random numbers and ideas... What is the use of this?
  10. @Zigzag Idiot Thanks ?
  11. @Schahin I heard Joseph Campbell saying, that water often symbolized the subconscious in mythology, so it might be that Jesus is very aware of this and Peter isn't and Jesus is just guiding him. I don't know, it could be something else, but this phenomena appears very frequently in other texts... Some Indian sutras say, that it is possible to walk on water, fly inside of a flame, but you have to be a really hardcore motherfucker to do that.
  12. @John Iverson Maybe your ego wants to make sense of these experiences, when it's not really in its capabilities to do so. Sometimes you need to surrender even deeper, so that you can only feel, without labeling. I think that should help. I have a similar experience, sometimes I feel that I am pure love and then the ego starts kind of going into it, it wants to claim the love for itself, but I just kind of let it pass by me, if you know what I mean.
  13. Why do you choose this fancy word for addiction?
  14. I think that you are thinking too directly, world is not simple like that.
  15. @Cody_Atzori Be careful with this I am too young. Your ego doesn't understand, that time is illusory and will want to convince you, that there is some other time to start.
  16. Not entirely, as I haven't experienced it.
  17. You are bullshitting yourself here. You said you have a problem and others tell you about their experience, what works for them. But when you read that advice, you start complaining how they don't understand you and you start feeling superior to them. What's the use of this?
  18. I just aim to become a kind person, who lives a good life. If my life is good enough, people will start asking me: „How do you live such a good life?“ - then I can help, but you cannot save them by trying to save them directly.
  19. That's the sound of Leo's joke flying over your head
  20. The ego is the fool we need to stop arguing with!
  21. Yeh, when the ego starts choosing what to take in and what to neglect, that is a defense mechanism and you should be extra aware of the devil inside you.
  22. @mandyjw You can let go of that attachment and rather care about which party can raise the consciousness of the people the most. @Deadline We can learn from their dedication to take action, but why should we inest our energy into egotism and genocide?
  23. I think that most flat-earthers are just meme lords... if that's not the case, I loose hope for humanity
  24. *A zen master and his monks are sitting at a breakfast table and arguing about God* Monk 1: You guys still don't know, what is the Absolute Truth, why are you arguing about it?! Monk 2: Huh, you still live in the duality of dual and non-dual, ....right? ? Monk 3: Contact me, after you've experienced riding the Ox backwards... Master: Just saying guys, you have really good plums here.
