@MarkKol Amazing, I thought you are also vata-kapha like me just from reading what you wrote, I am just wondering, are you also naturally slim?
-
You don't need to be actively looking for God if you don't want to do it. Why are you feeling this way?

Hey, it's great that you found your career path From what I read from you, it reminded me of the ayurvedic doshas, see if you resonate with vata... I am just asking from curiosity, but it might help you further understand yourself. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k2B2riKGa5xsbJDMpJpfNa-AqUga-bID/view?ck_subscriber_id=683444876 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1R-q7FXmaXqlQK6W3XnMMa1DYgiIU7-fz/view?ck_subscriber_id=683444876

I just hope you can still love yourself and accept yourself in the midst of the dark things that might be happening inside your head but don't worry, you are not alone, I am noticing more and more people on this forum are experiencing this... But love is the way to transmute this into energy.

They can show you that prana/chi/ki/life energy really exists -
@Death_ Just in case you ignore the advice the others gave you, don't try to be a hero and be very gentle to yourself, there is a very very good reason why people recommends you to start with smaller dosages. There really is no point in overdoing yourself.

@beastcookie Have you researched attachment styles? I mean anxious, avoidant and secure. This might be a good model to look at to become less confused about the pattern of what is happening. -
@creator20 Yeh actually telling them that might not be the right move if you want to help. It might be later on on their path, but humans aren't simple like that. They might think that after they go through all the baggage they collected on the way, but that's when they discover humanness is not the only thing there is. It's neither simple, not hard, it's both and none, or whatever. There is no one correct thing to say or do to help someone, you need to pay attention closely and adapt according to what you can sense. For example walking up to someone who is being abused sexually and telling them they are imagining things might be extremely harmful and insensitive thing to do, even though partially it is right, since it is also not right. The solution might come from dettaching themselves from their abusive parents, living alone, becoming more independent, I think it's highly unlikely a person is gonna have a dedicated spiritual practices, live their values through their life purpose and simultaneously get raped every week by a family member. Tune into your senses. Love (for others) is not some one or two things.

The idea that somebody is thinking thoughts doesn't imply that you should make fun of them and feel superior. You aren't doing anything wrong for looking at it in this way, people have overcome similar issues to those you are talking about in the past, it can just take more effort. If you think this issue is somewhere else than in thoughts, where would that be?

Don't let fear guide you.

@Raphael Yeh that can definitely be true to some extent. Or in complimenting someone, these vulgar words can be very powerful tools to make a meaning stronger. Also you can reflect on what kind of example or impression you wanna radiate, for example some people might not take you seriously if you speak in some sort of language, so if you are maybe sensitive and wanna stay open to these people, then you might consider not doing that, if you don't give a damn, then you don't give a damn. I think it depends on the age, environment, severity... Usually aggression breeds more aggression, I usually just avoid these people. Are you talking about something specific?
-
Oh, do you actually know that? It's much better to admit that you don't know than to claim you know and spread nonsense on this forum haha If you want to find out, you can try. But do you want to really? Just asking... Also, why does it make you feel dumb? Do you assume you should know what it is? Maybe you shouldn't, because you don't, and that's ok, sit with it, you aren't dumb, just honest
-
@Raphael I see. I guess see what you feel in your body and how the other person responds, learn from experience. Sometimes saying bad words can be very effective, but also it can just be a way to be careless about conveying the right meaning, if you know what I mean.

@Roy Thank you, this really helps.

Hey everyone, I know there is some solid evidence against using medication in certain cases, but also I guess talk therapy cannot help all problems, right. I am trying to make my mind around this, but I only have heard it from the therapist's perspective, so I am curious about your experience How has psychiatric medication helped you? How has it not helped you?

I was wondering why so many shamans and other people do all sorts of rituals as a part of their consciousness work and then I noticed that the kind of ritual and preparation you make before tripping can play a significant role in how the trip goes. Probably with other things as well. Do you guys have any good resources on how rituals work, how to make better rituals?

@Farnaby Thank you so much for your detailed response. I guess also kids have different brain than adults so we shouldn't treat them the same, right. @Rilles

@DrewNows I see, I don't know the science behind this, but definitely makes sense. @Roy I get confused when my friends with major depression tell me they can't do anything about their condition without medication, what is your experience? It probably can be like a critical condition but also victim mindset probably many times, right? @Max_V Tell me how it went Yeh I have a similar experience to what you are describing, even with psychedelics and maybe other things that alter your state. This state is good. @Rilles I see, glad you are better now. Do you think medication would decrease your ability to be aware or does it not work that way?

Thank you guys for your insights. Yes I think I am beginning to see a pattern here. It is very much about intent and also state of mind, feeling... @acidgoofy Just get rid of distractions, plan everythig well in your environmnent, be focused, mindful - anything that gets you into that, maybe go to the toilet before, have something to drink, sit in a nice place, I mean you can use decorations, music and stuff... But I guess the goal with that is to become more mindful and dedicated while preparing your sitting. Meditation cannot go bad I guess -

@AlwaysJoggin Sometimes these small things like complaining, gossiping, irritation etc. add up into a larger issue. Sure, things like toxic core beliefs are to be gotten rid of first I guess in most cases, but like don't underestimate these small things. If you can already feel that they don't feel aligned, just live without them, live in alignment with what feels right But yeh I get you, all people just sometimes need to let the steam out.
