  1. @Bodhidharma Words below 4 characters doesn't seem to be accepted. It would probably be too harsh for the servers to handle.
  2. This puzzles more then anything, it seems the people that are “enlightened” are on this forum more then anyone ? There's certainly lots of devils on this forum, don't make the mistake to confuse them with actual enlightened beings. People that are far on the path are generally easy to spot. As Leo said in his Ten Ox-Herding Pictures video, look out for people that are very humble, those are the one who will be able to help you the most in your journey. but honestly how is sitting on here arguing about enlightenment with people helping you if you are enlightened???? Let's say that after 5/10 years of diligent practice you encountered ultimate reality, wouldn't you be genuinely happy to be able to assist someone who is on the path? I think I would! Also how come all of the heavy hitter Main stream “enlightened” people aren’t on this forum? Most of these people already have a community of their own to handle. Some of them actively teach, some of them have a retreat center to run, some of them just aren't interested in participating in an online forum. And as always, I'm not enlightened myself, far from it. Take what I say with a grain of salt, forge your own opinions
  3. For over 3 - 4 months now, whenever I smoke cannabis I get a huge boost in my motivation to attain enlightenment. I'm talking about a 300+% motivation increase compared to my sober state of consciousness. The motivation sticks for a day of two after taking the drug, but slowly wears off after that point. It's not that I'm unmotivated to attain enlightenment when I'm sober of course. I really am motivated to do what's necessary in order to get to my goal, but it's nothing compared to what I can feel while hitting the THC. Anyone else has this effect when smoking cannabis? Is there any way to make the motivation stick? Would it even be a good thing to do? Thanks a lot!
  4. Cannabis makes me remember why I set myself such high goals. Cannabis makes me see what an amazing human being could leave me better off in the long term. Cannabis makes me slow down and really appreciate the journey that I'm on right now. Cannabis gives me a massive boost in confidence that I'm gonna be able to achieve enlightenment if I become 100% dedicated and passioned about my practice. I see the big picture a lot more easily. When sober I tend to always forget about it, only to look at the massive amount of work that's required to me get there. Just sharing my thoughts.
  5. Exactly what dosage did you take? Thanks for the report!
  6. I can't say for @Highest but I can talk about my personal usage. I'd say it's best to use it about once a week maximum for 2 different reasons : Tolerance to the mind opening effects sets up really rapidly. If I use it everyday, on day 3 and onwards I'll simply become a lazy slug. Contrary to what other people might say, you CAN become cannabis dependant. Addiction is not fun to carry around. That's my take on it, hope it helps!
  7. Just try to imagine the squirt with those hairs!
  8. Is the monkey mind a metaphysical "thing"? Or is it something that you pin point to in the physical world? Is it tangible? Is it objective? Where does it come from? What is it doing here? What is its purpose? How does it survives? How do we kill it? I'm interested in what you guys have to say about it
  9. @Alex14 I don't think you should, I think you should do as you like. She will be able to see if you are committed to her after the first couple of dates. If you're showing interest in her, she doesn't have to be jealous of anything. But then again, I'm no master of dating. Take my advice with a grain of salt, make your own experiences, go with your gut feeling
  10. @Alex14 You made it I'm proud of you, I hope things will go alright between you two!
  11. Ask her on a date This is your chance! Try and ask her if she would like to get a coffee with you when she gets back from her trip, you can't go wrong with this.
  12. @Dumivid Great answer! I appreciate the effort you put into it very much.
  13. I have been! It just clicked in my head recently that you can't do advanced personal development if you haven't covered the basics first... I haven't mastered my emotions, I'm always thinking negatively, I haven't started to read everyday yet, etc. There's a LOT of baseline material I haven't integrated even a single bit. My plan for the past month and for the next 1-2 years is to watch every video from bottom to top. The great thing about Leo is that he evolved along with his videos. So one who watches everything has the chance to evolve in the same direction that he did.
  14. It seems to me like your friend need professional help. Try to convince him that seeking a therapist isn't a sign of weakness, but a sign of courage. There's a limit to what you can do, unfortunately. Don't put all the weight of his condition on your shoulders. I know how those moment can be rough. You should also try to post in the Serious Emotional Problems forum subsection, maybe they would be able to help you there also!
  15. @Salvijus @Hellspeed Nice consensus!
  16. Hi winterknight! I'm sorry if my question already came up before in this thread, it's hard to keep up with 144 pages of answers. If could only give a single advice to someone who wants to reach enlightenment, what would it be?
  17. What? Actual work instead of bla bla? This is what this forum needs! GIMME MORE. Great job on that retreat! Keep up the awesome work
  18. @Schahin Ayahuasca and 5-MeO-DMT are totally different things. Ayahuasca contains regular NN-DMT while 5-MeO contains, well, 5-MeO. At very high dosages regular NN-DMT can induce quite a strong ego-death experience tho, so the two substances meet up on that level.
  19. What exactly were you trying to prove by doing this?
  20. I'm doing alright. It's mostly ups and downs. Downs aren't quite as challenging as it was in the beginning, but still hard enough to shake me up a little. I'll make it through, everybody does. Thank you for checking on me, I appreciate it a lot more than you might think Don't hesitate to contact me it things get rough on your side, I'll be here if you need someone to talk to.
  21. My girlfriend of 4 years and I left each others at the beginning of the week. I feel absolutely and utterly miserable. I don't know how to deal with the situation. Actually she left me more than I left her. We both knew that our relationship had been on neutral for a while, but I still had hopes that things would change for the better whereas she didn't. Of course there was things that bothered me in our relationship, but at the deepest level I knew this girl was worth it. You'd ask me right now if I'd want to spend the rest of my life with her and I'd say yes. She was beautiful, kind, very intelligent, everything I'd want in a girl. I feel destroyed right now. I miss her so much, I'd do anything to get her back. I got tears in my eyes half the time. I try to be mindful of my situation, take deep breaths but it's changing jack shit. I feel alone and anxious. I don't know what to do. I feel pathetic even making this thread right now. How do I get out of this mess?
